This is one of the pieces of music I'll play throughout the course of the day to imbue ordinary, mundane tasks and activities with an air of much greater importance. Thanks to Ludwig... ...there have been mornings when I have toasted some truly EPIC bagels...
The finest piece of music ever written. Whenever I get depressed I listen to a little of the old Ludwig van and I am reminded that there is still beauty in the world. The various interpretations by von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic are the best I've ever heard.
La musique qui élève, enlève à la médiocrité du monde. Musique qui transporte, qui fait voyager, qui apaise et fait oublier le temps d'une symphonie l'hostilité de la vie.
My Dear Lord. I needed to hear THIS particular movement as conducted by THIS particular conductor.... Karajan....more than I care to explain. Vielen Dank to Vladimir Komarov. Spacibo. Merci. Grazie. and.....THANK YOU!
I mean... The 9th symphony i think is better candidate for that. Especially fourth movement, the so-called Ode to Joy. Besides its apperance as European Union's anthem, it is really beautiful. The true pinnacle of human culture.
every time I want to exit this music piece or switch to a song that I would rather play I always stop myself wait for it to end because its so good to listen to.
This piece is used in the climax part of Irréversible, a French movie. I watched it a few days ago. I just wanted to watch Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, but I deeply regretted not having previously checked the plot.. It's too heavy grotesque and sad story for me. And since then this piece and picture always haunt in my mind... I can't stop listening to this
+Yunoki Rioja Irréversible is like Goatse and 2girls1cup: once you've seen it, you can't unsee it. Those who haven't seen it should be happy with that.
I agree, i saw this movie one time and i have never not thought about it from time to time. The rape scene is so intense that i want to jump into the screen and try to stop it, even though i know its just acting.
Los dones recibidos de este GRAN músico llenan y elevan el Espíritu más aún dirigido por el gran maestro Karajan. Gracias por la existencia de estos seres
With deepest gratitude to Vladimir Komarov for sharing with us. Many theories about how and why Herr Beethoven died, why and when he lost his hearing. It is said that he complained of incessant "ringing in the ears" (aka tinnitus) for reasons that are still debatable among scholars. This occurred approximately when he was 26 years old, and he continued to composed until his death at the age of 56. Only two things are certain: He was an alcoholic, (many argue that he was bi-polar) and he was a genius who wrote the most beautiful music to have blessed all of mankind. He revealed his innermost soul to all, via his "Hören der Musik".... in his head. Ich bin glücklich, weil er geboren wurde. Seine Musik wird immer bleiben.Vielen Dank!
Matilda Woodhouse I beg to differ. I am a pro musician/musicologist and have researched this thoroughly, along with dissertation. I was NOT making the statement as judgement. Many of our greatest geniuses were tormented. Has no bearing on the beauty of the soul and gift that did lie within him. I request you research this as well. thatisallandtheend.... :-)
+bravaLiz What instrument are you playing Liz? I wish more of friends were musicians, i sometimes talk music or want to share some great music but they have closed minds when it comes to it.
A human being must see those painful scars of fate and it's mastery and perfection... And you must lover of your fate with your all heart, you must say it's mine, precious one...
NO ONE... understood Ludwig the way Karajan did. This is exquisite. THANK YOU. Am still searching for his recording of the 9th performed circa 195(1?) ....please help and thank you.
wait! Make that the B's 9th as per Karajan...recorded in (1977?) featuring sop. soloist Anna Tomowa-Sintow et.al. within the quartet/final movement....SOMEONE. HELP.....please and thank you.
bravaLiz Unfortunately when I found the one you were looking for the video was only a 3 minutes long extract, so here is another: Symphony No.9, Op.125 (Beethoven) -Karajan- with Full Score
I am SPEECHLESS! Vladimir.....howEVER did you find THIS 9th? PLUS the score? I am still "playing around" with this Google+ "THING" and received your message via my email. Please let me know if you receive this response. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
This symphony was in the soundtrack to "Die Innere Schoenheit' Swedish movie with Alicia Vikander. Lots of great classic music in the movie. Highly recommended.
"The King's Speech" introduced me to this masterpiece. Been watching various performances on RUclips; this is the fastest tempo I've seen/heard. I do prefer the slower versions.
they played this on Empire when Lucius was sitting at the table while his mother when she had all the dessets forcing him to have a piece, it was kind of scary scene
I originally came here thanks to X-men: Apocalypse but then I read that Sarah had this song in mind for the song that kept Feyre from breaking and here I am once more.
This is played ridiculously fast - there is another youtube post with this performance of the whole symphony where it is explained how many bpm this is played.
+VesChrist You must understand that different people have different tastes, some like it slow, some like it fast. Personally this is my favourite rendition by one of the most highly regarded conductors of all time, Herbert von Karajan. I do have the full version of his recording posted here: ruclips.net/video/9-Sz-JaZ5fU/видео.html
Allegreto theme based on 16ths or 32nds would sound profoundly different (fast) from one based on quarters or eighths - it's that simple. Allegretto means between 112 and 120 bpm (4/4) and this is played at ~132 bpm. That's why I call it ridiculously fast. At 114-116 it sounds perfect and is exactly according to Beethoven;s instructions..
+Christos Rousseas Exactly - allegretto means between 112 and 120 bpm in 4/4. This verbal instruction can be misleading, in the sense that you can have a basic theme written in 16ths or 4ths. The first would sound 4 times faster than the second one - both in allegretto. In other words "allegretto" doesn't necessarily mean it should sound fast - depends on the notes themselves - in this case they are slower notes, 4ths and 8ths. Beethoven was extremely frustrated by the tempos his works were played and he tried to fix that later in his life assigning metronome markings on theme - which should tell us how important it is to play it the way the author sees it.
robert macarthur I know every Beethoven's symphony but despite my friends pushing me to listen to this also I've never listened to it. I then went to see what was that beautiful track in War Thunder's menu and got this. So, gotta trust your friends folks.
this is my favourite piece of music its beyond amazing or any other word in existence its truly beautiful a true masterpiece.. i adore it ,
This is one of the pieces of music I'll play throughout the course of the day to imbue ordinary, mundane tasks and activities with an air of much greater importance. Thanks to Ludwig...

The Dork Knight ;
One of the finest pieces of music ever written. It moves me like no other.
It is exquisite.
It heals as Bashar mentioned, it heals every disease with it’s God frequency.
The finest piece of music ever written. Whenever I get depressed I listen to a little of the old Ludwig van and I am reminded that there is still beauty in the world. The various interpretations by von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic are the best I've ever heard.
100%. It makes my soul free.
It is shit
I couldn’t agree more!
Извини. Но Чайковский более музеплет..еб твою маму.
La musique qui élève, enlève à la médiocrité du monde. Musique qui transporte, qui fait voyager, qui apaise et fait oublier le temps d'une symphonie l'hostilité de la vie.
Absolute masterpiece !...
Thank you Ludwig ! 🙏🙏🙏🩷
A great piece of music needs a great conductor to bring it to life. Karajan was such a conductor. This music is sublime.
This music will NEVER ever die.
the best sublime moment of beethoven´s music...every note describes beethoven himself:..pain..passion...here beethoven is simple beethoven at best
So beautiful. Herbert von Karajan, the God of Conductors.
Master Karajan will be the best forever to transmit the great emotions that the great music gives us. Bravo
Beautiful! Simply Divine! Sad, gloomy, and loneliness can be heard in this masterpiece and he uses the simplest of means! BRAVO! BIS!
First time I cried in 8 years...
what a bitch.
Shae That's not very nice or mature.
ChrisP Muffin Welcome to the RUclips comments section
No fucking way you didn't cry for 8 years

***** as I am for you.....for sharing this.
Dear Lord, please give bravaLiz a CD of Beethoven's 7th Symphony.
This is my favorite Beethoven piece! Well done! Beautifully performed! BRAVO!!!
I see this symphony as a pinnacle of European if not human culture
Why?
I mean... The 9th symphony i think is better candidate for that. Especially fourth movement, the so-called Ode to Joy. Besides its apperance as European Union's anthem, it is really beautiful. The true pinnacle of human culture.
@@ZiomZiomCreeper both are excellent. Air by bach is also my favorite.
@@samasoku oh yeah, the 7th Symphony and Bach's Air are great, but I still think, that the 9th is really the pinnacle of the human culture.
@@ZiomZiomCreeper What about 'The Fifth?'
He trully was a rockstar of his age..
Only Karajan was able to “animate” Beethoven’s symphonies. Rest in peace.
Спасибо!❤
every time I want to exit this music piece or switch to a song that I would rather play I always stop myself wait for it to end because its so good to listen to.
thanks for your comments Karajan truly great interpreter of Beethoven alongside walter klempere bohm Furtwangler kleiber szell

Best verison is in the film Immortal Beloved
no wonder when I heard this song in War thunder, I had a feeling I heard it before. My music teacher played this one time for a listening test
And it only took one hearing to cement it in your memory. What does that say about this composition?
Symphony No. 7, Movement 2 (Karajan) - Ludwig van Beethoven [HD]
I like the Gunther Wand' conduction better, but this was one great experience, too.
tragic and majestic at the same time I ..I wish the tempo were slower...kind of loses a itin the speed. This theme is transcendent.
You might like Leonard Bernstein's version, but this is the one I like best.
The great second movement of Ludwig van Beethoven's 7th Symphony, conducted by Herbert von Karajan
