You still looking for Beatles song suggestions? How about Blackbird? I was reminded of how much I love it this morning when it came through on a Spotify play list.
Stu, so happy to find this lesson. A few months ago I was learning to play sixth harmonies and during my practice was fiddling around and accidentally stumbled upon this opening riff from “Two of Us”. It is such a memorable and catchy Beatles intro that I couldn’t stop playing it. Now, thanks to you, I can learn to play the rest of the song. Cheers!
Sweet!! I’m striving to make the lessons something anyone can follow along with. Try it a few times and you’ll get this under your fingers solidly - thanks! 🙌🎶😊
Oh Stu; this was sooo perfect for me today, and I am having the greatest kick, singing harmony and the high parts and bridge to your accompaniment! I have a friend I like to harmonize with and this is going to be our next project together, no doubt! For fun some Beatle Friday, "Why Don't We Do It In the Road", or "Good Day Sunshine" would tickle me to jam on.
That’s GREAT! Way to go! Nice to know someone’s out there adding harmony 😉 I did a livestream lesson for “good day sunshine” - search you tube ukulele zen and that title and it should come up. Thanks so very much for playing along 🎶🙌😄
Thanks! It’s a custom made Uke made by Brian Griffin. There’s a link to his website in the description below… I interviewed him about his unique designs for the channel sometime ago. 🤙🎶😊
@@UkuleleZen Stu - you will recognize it as soon as you start listening to it. Written by Jerry Jeff Walker approx. 1960, he recorded it approx. 1968, made famous by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band approx. 1971. Recorded by many famous people. You will sound great doing it on your ukulele. Thanks.
Not any steady pattern…I would recommend you follow the beat and flow with the rhythm of the vocal line. I know it may sound vague, but there isn’t one locked in pattern

As usual - what a great uke lesson today.
Any chance that you could do an instructional video for "Mr. Bojangles" someday?
Thanks Vincent. Possibly...I'll check it out. I am not very familiar with the song and where it came from -- a movie or musical?

Yes! Great suggestions 🙌😄I’ve just seen a face has a great intro lick!
Oooo yes, "I've Just Seen A Face"
just discovered your channel & subscribed :-)) Great stuff dude !!How about doing 2 Wide eyed & legless" by Andy Fairweather Low" ? (please) !
Thanks for the sub! I’ll check out that song 😉
pretty amazing, but I'm pretty new to ukulele and found it very hard to learn the strum, but I'm still trying
I've Got a Feeling request for next lesson
Nice choice!!
Another slow one you might consider some time is "Mull Of Kintyre".
I’ll check that one out…
'..Ringo...'.. LOL.. that was funny :)
You’re a drummer and a strummer at the same time 😊
Whats the strumming pattern that is being used?
Not any steady pattern…I would recommend you follow the beat and flow with the rhythm of the vocal line. I know it may sound vague, but there isn’t one locked in pattern
@@UkuleleZen Thanks :)
Have a certain 13 year old (today) son to duet this with :)
YES! You two have a road ahead longer than the memories you already share 😃🎶
💙
