Rocking myself side to side while looking at my silhouette in the mirror. When suddenly my mirror reflection was out of sync with myself. Jesus Christ I was terrified... oh I’m so happy I know what that was now. 😅

Am I the only one who thought of the film “Harry and the Hendersons” when seeing the title question about baby pigeons? The question is asked pointedly in that movie a couple of times, as a way of showing how logic and observation don’t always meet easily.
I used to drive bulk powder tankers and pigeons loved nesting in the buildings where the silos are housed. Always used to hear them cheeping when I was filling up my tanker when the spout was inserted in the tanker. Mother or father pigeon was always watching you. Never disturbed them. I did see the squabs though. Rare sight.
