Bit of advice. Don’t keep the fan in the centre like that. Have it either side. Never in the middle. Also, two is better. One either side. No need to go expensive. As the motors are all about the same. So buy two and you’ll notice a huge difference
Didn’t think to much about his cleaning having the ash bucket 2 feet away from the fire brushing it causing dust in the room best done surely with a miniature vacuum cleaner.
Great video - I've had my woodburning stove for 8 yaers now and wood ash is definately the best thing to clean you door glass with. I also have one of the stove top fans and they soon pay for themselves by pushing the heat out into your room.
I find wet newspaper just moist and ash does the trick for glass. For around the stove door on my stove where the vent is I use a small brush wet and some pink stuff cleaner you can also use pink stuff on the glass but I only clean the inside of the door every week or so
The name of it is actually in another comment further down that someone else put up. Sirius Barletta fire tool set for anyone else who stumbles on this comment first.
@@BlahBlah-um5tr Yep I did the same a few days ago, didn't realise it has a magnet to hold the 2 bits together until I unwrapped it. Should do the job nicely though.
This fire pit is one of a few covered pits that is on the list ruclips.net/user/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM of approved products for Disney Fort Wilderness. The product served its purpose well and provided excellent fires throughout the evening. We were able to open the door and do s'mores, but I had to be careful because the handle was a bit hot on occasions. Additionally, I wish they had replaced some of the standard nuts with lock nuts in some places. We lost the door handle after just a couple of days of usage. Not a deal breaker, just a recommendation. I still give it 5 stars.
The only sure-fire glass cleaner I have discovered is Easy-Off oven cleaner. Spritz with Easy-Off, follow with a spritz of water, and wipe with paper towels. Fast and easy.
Great series of videos, but surely the eco fan should be at the side and back, pulling in cooler air from the back and pushing it across the hot top, and not in front of the flue which can overheat the fan?
I just use water, dipped in ash. I bought one of those companion sets and yes, they are not ideal. 6 months ago it was true about gas, not now. My fan doesn't go fast enough to do anything.
I have an expensive Canadian on and a cheap Amazon one both work just as well, the last years and just give them a wipe down on the fins, I think Aldi have sold some in the past
Free heat 2 x 51 mm stainless steel tube inserted through the flue and sealed with flue sealant just above the fire top getting about 9000 btu’s for free a rechargeable small fan pushes the air through
What with the new 2022 rules, what is the best stove to boil a kettle or basic cooking on in the event of losing electric please? A video showing how would be awesome. Thanks
Dean Forge make a couple of stoves with a separate oven compartment on top of the combustion chamber. We are just about to replace our open grate with one, firstly to reduce air pollution in the house, as my wife is asthmatic, secondly for the heating efficiency and thirdly so we can cook/heat food in the event of a power cut.
I’ve found some on eBay and ordered a stainless steel set . www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354282884995?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ukrvzi-msuk&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=WowyhP2ITSS&var=623670720911&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
You don't need any cleaner all you need is a wet paper towel and then you dab in the ash and you scrub It Off and it'll all just come right off with just dabbing it with Ash and little moist paper towel and then just dried off with the dry paper towel and you're done
These videos are great, this guy knows what he's talking about. More please!!
It's great to get practical advice, presented in a pleasant and straight-forward manner. Thank you so much.

I don’t think he wants to tell us
Did anybody find out where to get the pan an brush?
Best way to wash the glass is to take just the powdered ash and make a past. Use it to clean the glass
I use lemon for cleaning and it works really good.
Tried everywhere for the brush and pan set, but I can't find it anywhere. Do you sell them for delivery thanks
Really appreciate your advice, but where can I buy the small shovel and brush set?

Yup, that's what the instruction states. But who reads instructions 😂
Very informative and honest!
I put my next days burn on top of the stove the fire heat removes moisture or rotate them as needed
Kitchen surface wipes dipped in the Ash work really well to clean and finish with dry kitchen roll.
Good to know!
How can i get the ash pan and brush?
Can you tell me if you need a HETAS Certificate when having a new log burner/ multifuel installed please?
QUESTION....i have an old Lincoln wood burning stove with trifold doors. Do i need to use a log grate?
Great videos, thank you. They are really helpful.
I’ve stupidly got some melted cloth on the top of my log burner. Any advice on how to remove the residue of melted cloth?
I love a small blow torch to light the fire.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you
Enjoying your videos. Thanks for the top tips!
Thx for the practical advise 🔥

You don't need any product at all to clean the glass. Simply damp kitchen paper with water and then use the wood ash
Thank you for this very educational! Cheers 🙌
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, can you recommend a heat powered fan for a small log stove, please? Many thanks, Dave

How?
Do Saltfire and Ekol stoves have Ceramic door glass?
Doubt it. There Chinese.
You mention it's good to leave a little ash in the fire - can I ask why?
Assists with the combustion process.

There are quite a few online videos about using a stove for cooking and heating things up. Worth checking them out.
