- Public spirited individuals have been called upon to partner the government with a view to achieving the MORE developmental programs of the state government for deltans.
The call came to the fore during the commissioning of multimillion naira reconstructed Solar Powered Pipe Borne Water, New Toilet Facilities at Aniogor Primary School and the Award of University Scholarships to indigent students in Ejeme Aniogor.
The burden of developing a community is not usually an easy task because it entails advancement in its socio-economic, political and cultural life.
Chief Frank Onwuka Egwu, the Ebubedike of Ejeme kingdom, a US Based philanthropist, whose milk of kindness runs in his veins, having understood that the quest for community development should not be left alone in the hands of the government rather should be seen as joint task and responsibility, on Tuesday January 7th, 2025, changed the narratives of just giving Christmas palliatives to some widows in the community and reconstructed a multimillion naira Solar Powered Water project that has the capacity to serve the entire community, built New Toilet Facilities at Aniogor Primary School and Awarded University Scholarships to two indigent students in Ejeme Aniogor, who had given up hope on their academic pursuit, due to the death of their fathers.
In their separate remarks, the commissioners for Basic Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibuogwu, his Technical Education counterpart, Mr Smart Ufou and the Executive Secretary, Local Education Authority, Dr Ofunne, while commending the donor for his philanthropic gestures, emphasized the need for the community ownership, protection and maintenance of public facilities in their domain, which will promote and sustain development.
They urged other well meaning individuals in the community to emulate Chief Frank Egwu, adding that such gesture would automatically lead to bottom to top development, which is community driven.
The beneficiaries of Chief Frank Egwu's humanitarian services were not economical with their expression of profound gratitude to the angel in human form.
Even the Bible in proverbs 19:17 said that "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done".
