- Hi Guys!!!
I've really caused a lot of pain to my family and definately have some members of my family who do not speak to me. As a child my mental illness was hard on my siblings and that carried over to the present. I wish there was something I could do to make my brothers love me again but I can only hope and wait. I really miss them.

Coworkers, supervisors, managers, therapist, doctors, nurses, teachers, friends and family have cut me off over the years
Getting dumped by a therapist is the worst..
I'm so glad I found your channel.
You are a genuine person. You are always worth forgiveness. Always loved, girl interrupted. I'm glad I found your channel. No one should cut you out of their lives. That was bipolar disorder not the real beautiful person you are
What if they are saying dangerous things, like they want to kill you for being on "their side?" And, refuses to ever take meds.
This woman is brave and honest. But we've never seen her in a destructive way.
@@jackieg.seventee her family problems had good and valid reasons yo cut her out of their lives. It was her mental illness not her as a person
@@jackieg.seventee I accept her as she is mental illness as well
@@jackieg.seventee takes a lot of courage to go on camera and express herself the way she did
Well, this video came at just the right time! Lol. I just had a big blow-up with my folks yesterday. Long story short, something came up in an argument between my dad and me where he was angry at me for something that happened while I was in mania and psychosis. I told him that I was in mania and wasn't in control of what I was doing. He said something to the effect of "Yeah, it was bad. And we're all paying for it!" And he wasn't talking about money. It hit me pretty hard in the feelers. It was kinda like he was so mad that he said what he really felt on the inside. Which I feel awful for. I wish he understood better, but just like you said, some people just don't want to hear it. And it REALLY sucks for me cuz my family is, like, my main support right now cuz they're the only ones who really know what's going on aside from my doctors.
Thanks so much for letting me know I'm not alone. It really helps a lot. Hopefully, in time my dad will understand in his own way.
Hope you have a great one! Keep going! You rock! 🤘
Thank you, you make me feel less alone. ❤️
I respect you for apologizing to your siblings, my older sister is diagnosed with bipolar and she used to constantly abuse me when I was a defenseless boy (she was ten years older and twice the size of me). Our parents never pulled her off me or got her any real help at the time and she's never apologized, so to be honest, I struggle to forgive all of them. Thanks for sharing this...
That's okay forgiveness takes time. Your feelings are valid. She might not understand or remember how much she hurt you. If she was just recently diagnosed maybe she has to forgive herself before she asks anyone else to forgive her. And some people just really struggle to apologize. Whatever it is mental illness is hard on families and can really hurt. I'm sorry, I hope she comes around eventually.
@@BipolarPerson You're right, she didn't get diagnosed until she had her first major episode at 38 and she'll be 55 this year.
We lose a lot of memories by 38. And bipolar disorder causes a lot of memory loss. We don't always know what we are doing. When we are in mania our brain is moving so fast that it does not have time to file the memory. I bet she has no idea how much she hurt you. I hope you can talk to her about it someday when you are comfortable. It's clear she's really important to you. Thank you for caring so much that you are here. ❤️
I believe these disorders exist and are out there. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Just heard of a disturbing case here in my country of a mother who was killed by her mentally ill son. Yes, you're right ppl are not willing and don't have the time with their busy lives to take the time to educate themselves. It's only maybe when it hits home that some begin to take stock and look for answers.
Be encouraged Steph, you're doing your part well for those of us who want to know 👏
"My loved one's who are done with me".
Its a good title :)
Agreed with seeing it as a symptom is good thing.
Its right up there on the top 5 list over consequences that just totally fcking sucks and hurt's badly with having episodes.
Anyway, a really good video, Thank You 👏🙂
Thank you, my friend. ❤️
Yes, I’ve had issues with psychosis both out of body and while in a mantic episode, not sure if that was meant by features. Anyway, my entire family has disowned me most recently, my own father. So I can relate.
🥲 that sucks! You are not alone.
Punch Drunk Love
Hey Steph. This totally hits home. One of my biggest struggles is the acceptance that it comes with bipolar disorder. This hurt damaged relationships. I dig myself a hole feeling bad for what I’ve said or done. Any advice on how you’ve come to terms?
I just remind myself it's not my fault. The guilt used to be overwhelming but in group counseling one of the counselors said "that's not fair it's not your fault you were in psychosis." That statement changed my life. As far as the daily symptoms angry outburts and missing things because of depression, I just remind myself that I am human and have emotional experiences that people without Bipolar do not. Taking my medication and seeing how it has helped my rage has just shown me how easier it is for people without bipolar. Just be kind to yourself and remind yourself those moments are symptoms. ❤️
My family said it's imaginary and I'm not sick, I don't have brain cancer and check myself.
I am a victim of myself.
Yeah extremely helpful and hurtful... then they are surprised if I scream and desperate
I'm sorry, it's so hard when the people we need the most are not there. If they don't want to try and understand that's their problem and don't take it personally. You're not alone. ❤️
