- In this video we are going to be configuring the Cisco port-security feature on a Catalyst 3560 switch. We will look specifically at configuring static, dynamic and sticky secure MAC addresses as well as aging timers and automatic recovery from error disabled state!
Thanks for this video, still one question, what ´s the difference between
S1(config-if)#switchport port-security mac-address 000C.85B3.3708
and
S1(config-if)#switchport port-security mac-address sticky 000C.85B3.3708
Again thanks for your time

Excellent and so easy to learn with your videos. Thank you
Excellent presentation of port-security.
Nice Presentation but what is a bit left out, is with max # & sticky, I understand that the last or the max #(last) address learned is placed under the int but to locate the others that were leaned < max #. How do you know what they are when you look at the mac address-table?
so what happens when we say to switch "errdisable recovery interval 30" , and after 30 seconds we still have that violating mac address connected? Will port go up every 30 seconds and then immediately went back to errdisable?
if we have a switch port configured to have a seitchport security with maximun 1 mac address, and i was connected to another switch, and the other switch already connected with many PCs, so how the proccess is going to be with the secured port, is it going to consider all that PCs as on mac address because its connected to on mac address which is the second switsch mac address, or it is going to deal with each PC as unique mac address ?
thank you

@troywoodtube You need to make sure you configure "switchport port-security" by itself before you do anything else. That enables the feature
