Could you imagine if Christ was born to homeless parents in an abandoned building in modern times? And when he did finally somehow figure out who he was and what the truths were, what do you think his reception would be like if he performed some miracles and started saying things like "Love your enemies" and "give to all those who beg from you"? He would get little support in this world, i can assure you.
