- I hit the Blue Lagoon again because the previous session there produced some nice hook ups. This time around, the Blacktip Kingfish were on the bite. Such vicious fighters!

How is your experience with the Shimano Sellus? Do the aluminum oxide guides hold up against braided line? I saw it online for 350. You can't beat that for value.
It is an awesome entry rod for a weekend warrior. I only ever used it in saltwater. To be honest, is hasn't let me down. I haven't used it in the last year, but it has held up well. I haven't had to replace the guides and didn't experience any issues while using braid...
@Zoofskillzfishing.howsit bud.ive been fishing blue lagoon for about two months now.first time we went we caught 2 small kobbies and a small kingie.all released.since then.no luck only thorntails.what could i be doing wrong.please advice.like tides weather etc?thanks buddy.
I personally fish Blue Lagoon on a full high tide or an incoming tide. In terms of what I look for when fishing there... I try to fish around structure. Remember, structure also refers to deep holes or an underwater sandbank. I usually get alot of bites on the sides of both bridges as well

@@frfishingdbn That's great to hear! I myself am a multispecies angler, so I aim to try and catch a new species everytime I'm out fishing. I vlogged a session there recently. It was my first time there and I caught 3 species and around 10 fish, all on lure! I figured out how to fish that spot and can't wait to go there again!

I actually did! 😂🤣😅 I ordered the last 4 packs of Berkley sandworms in 2 inch all the way from Cape Town from a store called Tucker's Tackle. However, I just found out yesterday that Fishing Addicts in Durban now have stock. Check them out!
@@ZoofSkillzFishing yeh shot I saw them there as well. Gani's stock a brand called MARUKYU, they have a soft plastic which looks similar to the Berkley camo for quarter the price.
