Oh my! This is pure ingenious. I've played and followed this art form for over sixty years. I am still searching for words to describe this young man's ability to take a simple tune and turn it into something like this. I'd like to say this as good as it gets. Truth is, I know we haven't seen the best of him yet. What a performance.
My apology to panfan623 for not commending him on an excellent posting. Just a terrific job. I listen to this presentation at least 3 times a day since the semis. I'll be very much surprised if Renegades did not run away as champions with at least 5 points ahead of second place. This band is in a league all by themselves.
@@rickmathison7907 Thanks Rick, sorry the quality wasn't better. WACK's stream was a bit uneven which also accounts for the mismatch in video and audio. It's a bit off. Some rain & weather that night caused some problems for WACK. Hopefully it'll be better during the Finals broadcast. Renegades are leading heading into the Finals and I'm pretty sure they'll win. As good as the arrangement is now, I suspect Duvone will add a few more things. I hope he'll expand the finale a bit more too, it seemed to end in a rush. I'm so proud and happy for Duvone and also the enthusiasm, energy and the growth he's shown since becoming Renegades arranger. Jit would be very proud of him too.

Happy to do it. Not everyone was able to stream it live and glad that I was able to provide videos of some of the performances. I couldn't get all of them though, missed a few bands including Exodus. Someone will have their performance up soon though. As for Renegades, yes Duvone's arrangement certainly brought back memories of Jit Samaroo's uptempo arrangements of the 80's and 90's and I'm happy and very impressed that the young players had the discipline to execute those fast runs. Looking forward to the Finals and hopefully another three-peat and a 1st place trophy.

21st century drops and frazes , can't beat that. I wish more bands adopt the modernized style like this band. Am not saying that the other bands are not good. But, please take it to another level. Very good Rene
I really do commend all the steel bands with that daunting task. They have to work with what they have to their exposure. Firstly, the standard of Calypso drops. You hardly have a good pan tune come out this year. All we're getting now is" Techno soca". Without the vocals it ain't shit. So with that said, hats off to all steel band. Don't wash them, they can only capitalize on what junk most(not all) Calypsoians put out

They sound much better in the semi-finals.In the preliminaries the intro was missing something and the background pans was not so clear but now OMG i am overwhelmed with satisfaction and joy.
Amazing performance! Super tight execution of the arrangement. Great job of turning a boring soca into a arrangement like this. Arrangment wise, theres nothing new in it. Duvone studied Jit very well but is missing to bring some new elements to Panorama. I can hear nothing that I didn‘t hear somewhere else before. But still, winner tune.......
I not approve of singing while steelbands are playing also DJs saying wheel and cutting songs the Band was absolutely fabulous they can win the panorama
With a clear conscious, no disrespect to the artist. But, Renegades plays this song better than him. It wasn't a great song from beginning but, Rene made it better
most bands not to on point this year so bad sounds good they all look like skool pan 4the 2020 so a waste of year the judges need to give it to one of dem lower level bands big boys not performing good not even massy
People i think is the sound system the quality is not set up.rigjt you are hearing some bands good and not hearing the others that's why i love allstars they dont play for the judges they entertain the people whether good or bad as some haters will say. As i will always say come momday and tuesday allstars is fun.
We should stop with the pencils and erasers pusher judges and bring in judges who could read any music .pan or not music is music. Becaused bands who not supposed to win they winning is time we change around the system of these judges so each bands will get judge the right way. I could only emargin how miuch holes on those score sheets with all the rubbing off going on those score sheet to favor the bands that some of these socall judges 👍.
@@magneticfielded6581 to be honest long time we all used to be nervous becaused we Don't know which band is going to win panorama but now we all know who is the winner before the judges. Pan is not like long time that's one reason i dont be bother i just like all bands in every category to listern to my culture music That only play at this time that's what i enjoy and to me that is when all bands become winners in my book. As I said they have to start to put up digital numbers so when it lock in who ever the judges are they cannot erased it to favor some band ✌
