@@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman 99 the only reason people are coming to this video is to see how it cuts. You know how that little motor performs under load. So yeah you fast forwarded the only part that people came here to see
Just put mine up, it's been in its box for 6 years because I was looking for space lol. Thing is a champ! Best 100 bucks I ever spent (got it on clearance because of open box, nothing missing)
Finally finding videos that give honest review on tools i sell at harbor frieght i know they are not top end but i stand by them. Im a single dad i cant afford to buy and test every product i wish i could im a salesmen for my customer not the company. And i dont get upset when you guys truly test product and do review saying this is the bad i found and the good i found and say for price its amazing or this product isnt worth it. Cuz everyone sells bad products and the more a company worker know the better chance we can fix it to make it better for you. I hope you do more reviews for harbor on tools i dont own i try to get many reviews on the tools to get a better idea on it to sell or have my customers avoid. I also worked for lowes and we had dewalt flex bosch and craftman power tools. And the tool i always start with unless i know your heavy contractors was craftsman. The 200 for 2 small batteries charger and 5 tools plus flash light i sold a couple daily cuz i did own and use them and told them i have used them for this and that and they hold up plus the batteries are fraction of price and most came back in thanking me for selling them the craftsman cuz it saved them money and did the jobs with no issues. I look at a customer as i do my self when shopping this day and age money is tight and people dont need to shunned cuz everyone is saying you have to but the high price tools to do a job or being pushed to buy expensive tools. I start lower priced tools for those reasons why buy super car when your never going to open up the car and only drive in town on dirt roads alot. Would you rather blow your wallet on 500000 car that is fast but not safe cant haul your family basic tune up is 10000 or buy a car that is safe roomy for the whole family most will take the basic car cuz its more than enough for them. So again thank you and hope to see more of your reviews and ill talk to my managers to bring up your concerns on this tool to see what they can change
WoW! Thanks for the amazing reply! I too try to save money by doing my own projects and use tools that doesn’t cost an arm and leg! A lot of my videos use the least expensive items and I “Usually” get the same results. Sometimes you do get what you pay for though. Thanks again and stay awesome bud!!!
OMG I lost it when you said "for those of you that read instructions"!!! I worked as a woman with an all male crew as a tech for years and I was honestly the ONLY person who ever read instructions! Thanks for the great review and the belly laugh!
Watching just a short bit of you making cuts, showed me how I make tight spots. I’m going to start a fairly easy project but I wasn’t sure how to use one of these. They sure do vibrate a lot it seems.
I know this was 6 yrs ago but I just purchased that saw on clearance and 2 screws are broken off so I can't move the safety plate down and no leaver for it or hose. How do I get the screws out and do I need the hose?
I dont know if you know or not but woodcrafters has a kinda sand belt attachments that fit like a blade on pinned saw blades,May help you out. check it out. also, I had problems with the blowing off the wood , so I hooked a fishtank pump on.. works great:-) Hope this is valuable info for you. I love my saw.
I love the idea of the fish pump because the little blower on the saw isn't doing anything for me!!! Could you send me a link or something of the pinned saw blade your talking about? Im not sure what that is and now im curious! Thanks for the info and glad you enjoyed the video!
To do so you would use a small drill bit and drill a small hole, detach the blade and feed it through and reattach blade, once your done… detach the blade and remove the piece. Hope that helps!!! Thanks for watching!
Stephen! Hey man! I love mine but im gunna suggest that you open the box and check the joint where the plate connects to the base. We bought one a few days ago for my father-in-law and the Metal was broke at the joint. When we returned it... a second one was broke as well! The employees were very helpful but shocked that 2 in a row were busted at the same spot!
Hey kalind. Check out some of jimmy direstas RUclips videos. He can teach you the best ways to use a scroll/band saw and he has some good info on using them to carve material with the blade and with th back end of the blade as well. The dude is honestly a genius and makes tons of cool stuff.

Thanks for this video. I just got one for my birthday and I’m using it this morning.
Be careful and make sure you push down on your piece of wood . It’s easy but practice makes perfect! Have fun and thanks for watching!!!

Remember to have a firm grip and good pressure on your project. It can grab easily. Also… watch your fingers!
@@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman Appreciate the heads up

Thank you!!!

If they’re broken off you may need to drill them out and retap the holes. If it was clearance I’m assuming it’s not returnable. That kinda sucks!
Thanks for the unboxing/first run video. Got one myself! Been waiting for the right weekend to try it out
Awesome!!! I love it!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
How did you know what kind of wood to get for cutting?
I highly recommend a soft, thin wood like Pine to start off with.

I was thinking about getting this one, Is it better than the wen?
I have not tried the Wen but I just used my HF one today! Still going strong!
@@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman how many years have you had it?
@@HighTone45 as long as this video has been up. I think I posted 5 years ago now!
Can you get the blade inside say the letter O to cut the inside? I'm not seeing it...doesn't mean I'm right

Good video man
Thank you good sir!
Just got mine. Vibrates a lot and is really loud but it does cut decent.
Hope you get a lot of use out of yours!! I haven’t used mine enough!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Thanks i will buy one i love it.

can you turn the blade to cut side to side like the newer ones?
I honestly don't know and haven't tried!
Will this machine cut metal?
Maybe very then sheets with the proper blade but I don’t use for that. Thanks for watching!!!
I cannot find a throat plate for it.
mhm, pretty neat tool. :) something i would of never thought that i would need one day but, i dont really do much projects around the house.
do IL next btw :)
send me a picture on twitter as well ;)
I’ll do IL for ya!! I’ll make it and send a picture....
Man I love it! I’ve never used one and cant wait I’ll sunday to keep practicing! Thabks as usual!
I wanted to hear the saw as you cut wood. But then you cut the saw sound out and added music. So I watched about 20 seconds total of the video.
I heard a lot of people like that. I have a friend who does YT vids and got the same feedback. Thanks for the honesty! Take care!

Block of what???
Had to go back and watch to see what your question was! LoL. That was just a slice of a 4x4 piece of Pine. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah I don't understand I have the same one and mine keep Fucking up every time I use it the wood stop the blade from cuttings
Im not sure. I found that it works best with really thin wood and not stock thick like 2x4s. the thinner the easier!
