    Video Content:
The Point Feature allows the creation of an Intersection Point between a datum plane and a curve. But selection of an Axis is not possible. Simon will do a research in this video and of course he will show how to solve the problem: us Point Set instead of Point! So simple!
Thank you, Siemens, for developing the NX software into the right direction!

So funny. Got similar reactions on LinkedIn and to be honest: I wasn't sure about publishing this video, because I thought the viewers might know already 😅 thank you for the comment

Wouldn't it be just as easy, and ultimately more useful, to create an Offset CSYS?
In the Offset CSYS dialog, click the "rotate first, then translate" option, rotate it about the two axes to get the desired 45° angle, then translate it the desired distance along the desired axis. When you're done, you then have 7 geometric elements at that point instead of just three (i.e. origin point, three planes, three axes), and it's easy to edit the angular orientation and offset distance via the Offset CSYS dialog box. You can also edit the appearance of the Offset CSYS to make it smaller or larger, change line type and color.
I value you teaching us another way to use Point Set command, and I apologize if I'm missing something here, but after watching I was left scratching my head as to why you didn't use the Offset CSYS, "rotate-then-translate" method.

Use Ur Illusion. For this scenario, the csys makes sense for sure. It's just a representative at all. But for any other, the point makes sense.

    Thanks for the video Simon.
Do you know if in Germany there is any news about a new big replacement with Nx as happened years ago with Daimler?
    Regards.

Hi Pedro, I only have a few German customers. So I am involved more into international transitions. Why did you ask?
      Regards

      @@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training Thanks Simon, just curious.
In case there were rumors that the Volswagen group, BMW, etc, would also be considering the change...

The discussions about VW and BMW transitioning to NX already existed a decade ago. Would be nice and good for my automotive supplier business. Are you working in this branch?

I banged my head against the wall for a while last year trying to figure out how to do this. It is not intuitive at all that Point would not have this capability while Point Set would. Why not just add Axis to the valid vectors for Point?

Stop banging your head against walls!!! :) I was asked several times for a solution. That's why I have researched. Thank you for the comment
