i think recordings have always been good, since film. it's the preservation of recordings that's the problem. tapes wear out and compression/upscaling of all digital footage makes it look terrible when you look back
I think the best thing about Samberg is that he puts an up-to-date style on a sense of humor that feels like it's from the classic 70s-80s era. It's a great formula.

@@castlerogers7217 Certainly. Lonely Island began getting a lot of buzz on the digital shorts segment of SNL. The first bit they that really took them to the next level was the "I'm on a boat" music video featuring T-Pain. That hit on the show big time when they featured it and it was big virally also. Aww he was so young here and was such a dork 😂 I’m used to watching his more recent interviews and you can totally see how much he’s grown and matured as a person, plus his haircut
1:08 Does anyone else think his laugh sounds EXACTLY like Chelsea Peretti's laugh in interviews? I feel like because they were friends growing up, they shared a similar laugh and now Andy has grown out of it.
He's so baby in this. Period. Baby. I love him. So soft. What. He is amazing. He's so talented and I have the biggest crush on him and the rest of the lonely island😊😭
I recently just watched b99, it became my all-time favorite sitcom, 6 years ago I made a school project music video using their YOLO song because of its humor. Only now I realized Andy is part of the lonely island O_O wtf mindblown.
you know this interview was from a long long time ago when no one cheered when he said the lonely island
Or when he mentioned Dan Harmon and Rob Schrob
this was about a year before Dick in a Box
plus his giant hair
also from the description that says 2006...
Or when Andy considers "James Blunt" to be a huge star
Andy Samberg looks like he's a freshman at college
He always looks like that just a laid back chill dude 🕶
He was 28 when this aired and still looks the same
Fernando Govea lol no he doesn’t. He looks older now
Yeah, he is like 40 right?? He still looks 25
Desirée Rodríguez lol I am guessing you haven’t seen a recent picture of him? He started aging suddenly I feel like 2- 3 years ago.
"Maybe you know of the lonely island". How times have changed.
I liked then unliked cause its at 69...in honor of the great Palm Springs I had to leave it.
Haha 69 420 funny number!!! Omg!! Seks number weed number duble funny!! Haha!!

Holy fvck I thought this was recent
Connan says in a remote before that he knows his cameras. He's all about the good equipment
Conan: “Knock it off”
Andy: *quietly as possible* “okey”

Right? And because the quality is so good it looks like they filmed a Talkshow on a strange vintage set
Yeah, the sofas scream 70's tho.
Because the physical film has no resolution, it can be enhanced digitally to any resolution.
Afnan Studio please tell me you're kidding..
Watch it in 240 for immersion
andy is so cute like hes not shy but he def was a bit nervous BUT he hid it so well by just being hilarious, mans meant to be a comedian
The silence when he said maybe you know us “the lonely island” made me look up from my phone 😬
Loved how he kept giving a shout out to his buddies from the lonely island.
So this is how Jake Peralta looked when he joined the force. Noice
Dude
Noice
Toit!
All cops are bad
Judy Booty oh fuck off
If it weren’t for the close personal contact I’d swear this is a modern bit.

And the fact that 'getting famous off the internet' has become... a little more common since then

Wow, I can't believe how we're indebted to Fallon for Andy and the Lonely Island. That impression of him was spot on.
Samberg has such a strong, masculine jawline for such a soft, comical looking face.
Rightttt. Like the face doesn’t match the jaw
Name dropping Dan Harmon and nobody bats an eye.
Right??!!
