I will give Cinderella some credit though. I think it's impressive that she was able to hold her own for a bit against the final boss of their verse. She may very well be both the strongest Nikke in history and the strongest Nikke of today.
Cinderella was pounding the crap out of the Queen or whoever that was. She just got cocky. Its how she lost to Levi and the Goddess Squad as well. She would probably win every battle if she did what Anachiro did during the initial space elevator mission. Keep at a distance and unleash a never-ending barrage of beams and don’t stop shooting. Cindy is more than capable of mass destruction it’s just her hubris kind of gets in the way.
for a space elevator to work, it technically should be pulled from both ends, which mean the station shouldn't be attracted by the earth and should be drifting somewhere
@@agentepolaris4914The scientifically correct answer would be yes she is drifting away from the earth, now the Nikke sci-fi science may differ, we will see, tbh my guess is she is indeed drifting away, and a rapture did assume the role of "acting queen" and to achieve that they had to merge a rapture with liliweiss head, like some sort of arachne. But this is only a theory of mine, it would be interesting because that would leave the possibility in a distant future to go to space and meet the original queen that may have repaired it and colonised another planet or the moon.
@littlekirby6 yeah, a friend of mine has really been enjoying the recaps of the story I've been telling her. She really liked the animation too. Though a bit somber about the ending itself.
The fact that nobody would know of the sacrifices Siren, Abe, the Twins, and especially Cinderella made. How they gave humanity a fighting change as well as severely damage the Rapture Queen. They'd only praise the Goddess Squad, not knowing the bravery of the Fairy Tale Squad. But we will, we will give them the happy ending they deserve and take down the Queen.
Shift Up set the bar high with the Red Ash Event so my expectations were very high for Old Tales and oh boy did they deliver. Cinderellas character growth was so great to see. Rewatching Cindys death in Red Ash hits so different now given the much needed context. Can't wait for Shift Up to knock it out of the park again next year!
Honestly I don't know if they will be able to top this next year. Maybe the adventure of Lilith and the LC or the story of Lilith "sister" the 1st fairy tail model. But I don't know how much sadder those stories can be compared to this.
Certainly hits hard & different. Anyway I still haven't figured out if Red Ash event & Old Tales are part of the main timeline or are alternative events. Since Cinderella is alive I ask as a non-expert of the game 🙏
The Queen Q-001. Look at the three stars on her forehead, the numbered chestplate, and her wings. Now, compare her to Marian's Second Affection skin in details, with the wings, the 02 markings, and her crown of stars. Chatterbox was genuine about wanting her to be his Queen.

Cinderella did so much damage to her and stranded her in orbit, so Chatterbox has been trying to make a replacement since the stopgap they have with Lilith's head isn't enough. Based on Enikk's confession in CH14, Chatterbox blackmailed her into giving up Nikkes as tribute for his Build-A-Queen project, and Marian was the most compatible with it. Last Kingdom saw her flex her Royal Authority for the first time when she told Chatty and Indi "Sudo don't come near this place ever again" and they were forced to obey.

God, I loved this animation so much. This entire event was incredible. It’s what a prequel SHOULD do. Despite knowing what is to come; you WISH things would be different. This event could have easily been a movie. It was epic, tragic, and hopeful, and all around absolutely beautiful. I loved the characters, and was captivated the entire time. When this cutscene happened I was blown away. This event cemented the love that was building after starting this game a few months ago. Thank you, Shiftup. Thank you for this game.
this event is so good, that we were spoiled about the ending twice in both RedAsh and main story, and yet we are all here for the journey and still sobs at the story

I too said that we need an anime for NIKKE, but it has to be good as this animation, or even better. NIKKE is full of amazing stories, and they deserve to be told in the best way possible.

This was hands down the most amazing lore drops we got in this event, including the original Rapture Queen being Eldritch af. It skyrocketed Old Tales to the top of my favorite events list.
That's a good question... if they showed it that way, it's important and worth considering, though there's a chance we'll never know (because Cinderella separated the space station from its elevator) unless they show a separate story, as it's speculated that the "Queen" is actually Sleeping Beauty, as she has 00-1 on her chest and it's like Lilith mentions in Red Ash that she cared about "00-1".

Furthermore, Marian was the only Heretic who didn't have a transformation in Rapture compared to the others, instead she was given a Mecha in the form of the Queen Bee of Rapture, strengthening the theory (already confirmed in Last Kingdom) that Marian is the next possible Queen of Rapture.

Everything about this event was amazing probs my fave one yet, first time seeing the Queen to Cinderella showing what she's got and actually doing damage to said Queen and stopping the creation of more Raptures, Old Tales squad humanity's hidden heroes, fantastic animation.
This was a very nice callback to Stellar Blade. Eve going up the orbit elevator, fighting Democrawler; an abomination hooked onto the space station with wires, and being thrown out into space. Even the OST for this event felt very Stellar Blade-esque. The whole scenario mirrors these two games very well, can’t wait for the inevitable Stellar Blade Nikke collab!

I truly enjoyed playing the special event and sad I won’t play in the mirror (mini game). I’m curious about what was Lilliweiss doing after Cinderella’s battle with the queen?
I can't help but wonder, with how things turned out with Cinderella & her squad's attempt to fight the Queen _(from the elevator ride, all the way up to this battle)_ how would things have gone for Goddess Squad if they hadn't been blocked from completing their mission.
If they did make this into an anime I'd defininitly watch, though if they were to stay true to the games story I'd expect it to be pretty gory with raptures turning humans and nikke into swiss cheese to really push why people and even Nikke in this world have mental break downs of fear whenever a rapture is seen.
To the Queen this was the equivalent of a rodent trying to best a Cheetah, she toyed with her prey then when she got bored she tossed out the rodent. Cinderella was never strong enough to make a scratch on the Queen.

If they did make this into an anime I'd defininitly watch, though if they were to stay true to the games story I'd expect it to be pretty gory with raptures turning humans and nikke into swiss cheese to really push why people and even Nikke in this world have mental break downs of fear whenever a rapture is seen.

To the Queen this was the equivalent of a rodent trying to best a Cheetah, she toyed with her prey then when she got bored she tossed out the rodent. Cinderella was never strong enough to make a scratch on the Queen.
I think the Queen did have to give some effort, but she was nevertheless superior.
