One day, young man, this series is going to end. And on that day, I'm going to crack open a cold beer, put my feet up, and watch this entire run beginning to end and savor every minute of it.
thedungeondelver I believe I shall do the same. He does some really good work. And it’s very satisfying to watch.
Watch it back-to-back with Project Binky.
@@RoamingAdhocrat Triple play, those two plus the F250 revival on Thunderhead289 and JYD's channels. Maybe throw in some Dylan McCool too!
That's when he starts restoring his other project, his 1968 oldsmobile 442
Indeed sir. He makes great content I just wish he had the time to do more.
Sometimes life seems pretty crappy, but maybe it just needs an electrolysis bath, a sand blast, two coats of self etching primer and one coat of automotive enamel paint.
wow i feel... i feel inspired bro. thanks.
Don't forget to wipe down with mineral spirits.
Oddly it sounds like a woman getting ready for the day. A bath an exfoliation, a pep talk and makeup.
stephanie rando "a pep talk" im dead
In Bob Ross voice please 😂😂👍🏻
You are absolutely killing it with these videos, not to mention the work you're doing! Those parts all turned out looking better than they would have from the factory. Incredible attention to detail, voiceover, editing, everything! Excited to see this all back on the Fiero!
I'm waiting for more Firebird videos
@@CesarPerezn me too!!!
Fuzzy Dice Projects you are similar at lest I think so
what is this, a crossover episode?
Were is the firebird???
I actually cackled when you were talking about the radiator bracket and cut to the car falling off the trailer.
Same!
Same
Thems some good visual gaga LOOOL
Honey STOP EVERYTHING, RONALD FINGER IS ON!
pretty much this, everytime
Stephen Fitzpatrick *finga
Stop everything?
I rarely comment on videos, but for you, I will make an exception. I have been following your builds for several years now. Your videos are simultaneously relaxing, entertaining, and informative. I am so invested in watching your Fiero becoming brand new again. I can't wait to see it shine.
Unlike a lot of comment sections on YT, this one is full of good feelings, love, admiration and kindness! After the video this is the second thing which makes my day! Love you guys
manmadeartists I literally just told my wife the same thing as I started reading these....Ronald is like a cross between Mr Rogers, Bob Ross and the Tappet brothers...with a little profanity thrown in there for good measure as it wouldn't be realistic automotive repair without expletives.
I will hate when this finishes. Watching them has been a relaxation for me. I'll hate when it ends.
Yup. Just here for the voice.
Don't forget the soothing background music
@@tydontdy3459 Love the tune...
ruclips.net/video/c1Jg2cF4pho/видео.html
@@tydontdy3459 I hope you was being sarcastic about the music.. I fucking hate that shit. But I do like hearing him narrate what is going on.. I just hate that music..
Creep. 😂
It’s is oddly soothing. I bet the unedited version involves more swearing and heavy metal music.
Rust: “I fear no man, but that thing..”
*SELF ETCHING PRIMER AND AUTOMOTIVE ENAMEL PAINT*
“.. it scares me.”
Dont forget the mineral spirits
I like to see how long it lasts. I always see people spraying without primer, and that doesn't last at all. Wondering how much better spray can primer will last
@ High quality primer on a well-prepared surface will really help top coats.
@ I've seen many instances where the top coats let go, but the etch primer remains intact. While that is a paint system failure, the etch primer saved the substrate. I'd have to check but I'm reasonably certain the primer and top coats were all dupli-color.
Props to Eastwood, that kit looks sick! It's always cool to see that they watch the same content as me!
yep Eastwood is ok. If you are interested Irontrap garage is a utuber who works on old cars and he actually works at Eastwood. I think he is one of their techs or something. Their products are not cheap but they also work.
Best Fiero resoration video series ever. From being pulled out the mud and crud to this. Great work. But, darn it, now I want a Fiero.
Ron, your work is second to none! I have owned two Fiero’s. I bought an almost new ‘85 2M4 in ‘86 (which really did catch on fire TWO DAYS. Before I got the recall notice), and a 1986 GT (which I wish I still owned). To watch you restore this near bottom of the line model with so much love and attention to detail warms my heart. I truly commend you, and I am so excited to see the finished car. When you are done, you will have a show quality version of this 1980’s beaut. I know with absolute certainty that you will have a long list of people wanting to buy it, and I can’t wait to see what you restore next! You might just have inadvertently started a long career of automomotive restoration. Good for you, bravo kid!
Today at the railway station I was waiting to be picked up. Someone drove by in a gorgeous white Pontiac Fiero (which are rare here in central Europe; it was probably the first one I ever saw in real). I immediately had to think of this channel. Great work!
I'm here for the weird, random spooky stuff since Night Mind covered you on his channel a few weeks ago. But your voice is also incredibly soothing and DAMN if watching you restore all of these car parts isn't hella satisfying.
I wish I hadn't discovered this series until it was complete. I want to binge through the entire restoration.
Its been 20 days.. we need more Ronald! lol..
Great transition for the sway bar brackets. You really add some great touches to your work Ron. Your humor, detail, and realism are what make your story enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
That's really cool of Eastwood to take care of you like that.
You know what’s more ridiculous than someone restoring an 84 4 cyl Fiero?
Someone that has been looking forward to said restoration video!!!!!
Great work!
When you first took on the project, I was worried that you would just get it back on the road and be done with it. You've done an amazing job mate. Your commitment and attention to detail are second to none.
At the end of the series you should make a compilation of all the times you've made a loud "BANG" with the car, I swear every video whether you're tightening or hammering it always makes that distinct sound
That’s not a bad idea...
When the restoration is done, I am going to sharing this whole series wherever I can! Your love towards this Fiero is beyond admirable, you literally breath live back to it.
Why? Why? Why would anyone dislike this? I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep em coming
this series should go in the youtube hall of fame
It's just so calming to watch this, see these awful problems, but have complete confidence that you will somehow overcome them.
Or maybe its just the music.
This looks better and is put together better than most "pro" RUclips car channels. 👍👍👍
Thanks for spending time with me, dad
Who else doesn’t ever want to own a Fiero but loves watching this guy build his?
Chris Austin Yep. Fieros are giant piles of garbage. It’s just fun to watch someone who’s passionate about something.
Fiero's are great cars actually... People that bash on them have never driven one.
@@zzzhuh I used to own an 86 Fiero back in 1995. I was REALLY surprised how gutless it was; and that was AFTER owning a Geo Metro!😬😆
Id own one... but it would have to have a turbo v6 at least.
Jumping Tuna Gingium is another good channel to watch too. He has some pretty interesting builds, like:
A school bus that he converted into a sort of RV, that he uses to tow his other vehicles.
A Mazda B2200 pickup that he lowered, replaced the stock suspension with a custom four-link and coilovers, and swapped a 1UZ-FE V8 into. He has that setup as a drift truck.
A Miata that he has setup as a track toy. He’s planning on swapping in a built 1.8L making 500 hp into it. He calls it Molly.
Another Miata (his most recent ongoing project) that he calls the Rally Miata. Or the Rallyata. He cut off the front end and replaced it with a custom tube framework, to make room for the built WRX motor (EJ205) and AWD system. Yes, an AWD, boxer engined, lifted Miata. He’s even painted it World Rally Blue.
An Audi A4 that he’s helping his friend build. Converted to RWD, as it’s gonna be set up as a drift car.
A Miata-based exocart that he’s helping his other friend build.
A Miata-engined Datsun Roadster that he’s been working on with his dad (aptly named, the Dad-son)
Thanks Eastwood for making my boy Ronnie look like a pro.
I come for the weird edits. The phone ringing was brilliant. Keep it up man.
I'm still waiting to see what happened to the body in the trunk...
This is a fun series to watch. I'd like to offer a suggestion, though. Try a wire wheel on your angle grinder. It works much better than using a drill mounted wire wheel.
Ronald: hey let's work on this car
Eastwood: want some free stuff?
YES
That little powder coater works great. The powder coat looks better than the paint!!
This is one of my absolute favorite video series on all of youtube. Keep up the great work, I'm ridiculously jealous that you're going to have a like-new Fiero at the end of this process.
looooved the music in this video. always extremely pleasing when a new part of this series is released 🥴
To be fair you do have a nice voice over voice.
They say Millennials aren't into cars much....even more so ones that can drive a manual transmission. I have to say I was never a real fan of the Iron Duke, but then again the one in my father's '88 Grand Am had 215K miles on the clock when he traded it in. I love how you are showing so much love to a car that was semi-unloved in its day. Though I would have uprated the suspension personally, I like how you are basically keeping it stock and not trying to make it much more than it always was. You are a good storyteller keep it up!
I've watched every episode regarding your Fiero. I have to say, you've done a damn fine job, and I applaud your efforts. Can't wait to see it finished.
Ronald. If you at any point begin to doubt yours skills or what your doing... Don't. Stop there. Your doing a cracking job on this. I'm super impressed and find the updates fascinating. Keep up the great work.
So I was watching Nightminds recap on your series and I found you have Cars, random projects AND a strange story to piece together sprinkled into your videos. Love it and can't wait to see more!
It's really great that Eastwood is supporting you that way. Cool video as always! Can't wait for another one 😁
Wow Ronald,You've turned that heap of 'yard art' into a running piece of history.Well Done !
This is honestly the best Restoration channel out there! I feel like I'm watching a Hollywood movie. Ron, you should be a superstar!
When the phone was ringing, I thought you were calling yourself from the future, telling your past self not to screw something up.😂 Great videos sir👍
This will end up being one of the cleanest Fiero's on the road... Looking forward to the external cosmetics at the end..
Came across your fist ep of this series by YT recommendation. And have binged every Episode so far! Loving the content and cant wait for more vids :D
Watching these videos bring back fond memories of me and my Fiero in the late 80s....
Thank you email notification! This was a much needed 17+ minute brain break from work. Loving the Fiero series. This it the exact kind of work i'd do if i had any type of place to do it. Glad to see the Eastwood company continuing their support. They've got great products!
Get back to work
@@snoopy5736 No.
Shane Singleton but Shane, your work.
@@thatmiatadude3997 lol. I was done for the day by that point.
This has to be one of the best things on you tube by far!
i'm that weirdo who likes to hear your voice
Jeff Brown he’s like that dorky little brother you want to watch fail. But ends up doing a good job as are proud of. I’m proud of you ronald
Jeff Brown +1
You are a fkng weirdo.
@@The-truth-is-valuable. Totally but it's also the music in the background. Almost want him to read some technical manuals so that I can fall asleep AND learn at the same time.
Man he prolly won’t ever see this comment BUT Ronald PLEASE, PLEASE give us the the re paint video of the car and fix all the missing and broken pieces on the outside. That’s probably the most Satisfying of a car rebuild in my opinion
"I'll be trying some new techniques"
*Supports front subframe with neck
Pahahahaha :D:D:D:D
Well is he wrong? It TECHNICALLY is a new technique..
You've only got one back to break, don't do it to early in life....
spudthegreater USA u only live once
Support back frame technique.
Been watching this series from day one. The half assed but acceptable work mixed with all delicate show car quality work cracks me up so much
That soft soothing voice should be telling children bed time stories.
You make me miss my old Fiero, you are doing great work!!
this series is so much fun to watch, thank you for doing this
Good Guys at Eastwood! So awesome of them to donate that powder coating system. This project is a lot of fun to watch. Keep up the great work!
@3:07: "I'm not entirely sure why that is...." BAM!
Hilarious!
I’m glad to talk about this series when my friends what I’ve been watching on RUclips.
Everything about this series makes me feel great.
god this is like a work of art. so soothing and like nice. i love it man. this is the most unique way of resisting a car in my opinion and i love it
Yes I need more of this. One of the best resto projects on all of the internet. Yes I said the entire internet. Love this kid.
I just finnished watching your fiero project thats taking more than two years now and out of thin air you hit me with this fresh ass video, thats gotta mean something. Anyways keep it up, you´re hilarious and so talented. Wish i had the same opportunities to get into cars as you growing up :)
Watching a restoration of my favorite model of car has been a ride and I'm always happy to see you making progress on it.
4:40 anyone else feeling oddly calm watching this? the choice of BGM is nice
You're doing a great job on that car. With new bushings and shocks, it should drive like brand new. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the work.
Man I love this series, your voice is great to listen to and seeing every step of the process is so interesting and inspiring
This series encouraged me and my brother to start a project of our own (a Suzuki cappuccino), despite not knowing anything about restoring cars xD
Your getting there! Love the powder coat finish... looking forward to the next episode!
Me at the end of every video: NOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!
Such amazing videos, that was unexpected with the powder coating, and very bad ass.
Love watching you restore this car. My wife and I had an ‘84 fiero in the late ‘90’s. Loved that little car. I would to find one and do the same thing your doing, but money and a location is a problem. Lol! Can’t wait to see it completely done.
We waited for 1 month for the continuous part. After 1 month you uploaded this.Thank you
You are the Jimmy DiResta of Fieros!
I love watching these!
So much work and toil for this project. This is going to be an epic vehicle when you're done.
Honestly... this is some of the best of any type of content on RUclips. Thanks Ronald!
Love everything, from the editing , background music, descriptive on what you’re doing, not extra , and your personality, good shit bro , been waiting for a vid of her cant wait for the next one
Love to see how far this project has come👍🏾😁
Dude I'm loving this series. It's inspired me to get started on my own restoration project, a 1996 Jeep Cherokee!
I enjoy watching you overcome a lack of formal knowledge to taxkle this project. It is going well.
Love your commitment to doing it right & by yourself. Good on YOU !!!
This video was PERFECT! Wish there was a channel that did videos just like this one but to old JDM cars.
You make me at peace Ronnie ! I hope I can do something like that in the future. Althought, I have very little experience in cars, I ve dreamed of restoring a e39 BMW, these always catch my eye on the road. Maybe someday, but now, just thank you man!
One thing I think you should start using is a spray can rust converter on things you clean up with a wire brush like the sub frame. Both M3 and CRC have good ones that are made to be primed and painted over. These chemically change the light rust and that stops it from rusting more.
Thank you Ronald. Been waiting for this.
Nice to see what anyone with a little imagination can accomplish.
Now, with that said. You need a paint sponsor for the final finish. 😁👍
Watching the videos of this series is very hard.
I get so excited and full of happiness while watching them. But as soon as it ends I become overwhelmed with sadness while waiting for the next one to come out
I really love these videos. Thank you for making them.
Thank you for watching them ❤️
@@RonaldFinger need to watch your language bro. I think it's funny but others may not.
Omg....the rubber gloves at the end. Just spit out my coffee. Fabulous!
Found this through night mind, I’m not even a car person but this is so satisfying to watch.
This my favorite restoration channel ever. I hope you are considering to restore another car after this one.
This is gold Ronald, GOLD!
I didn't have high hopes for this series at the start, but you've really put a lot of amazing work into it, both the car and the videos. This is pretty much a textbook of how to make a great car restoration series. Well done.
I just wanted to say that I love everything you make Ronnie. Thanks for making my days better. :)
Cracking open a cold one with the boys, watching Ronald Finger on Saturday.
You will recieve the Nobel Prize for OCD..lol. The powder coating was amazing
What an 80's rush watching you
Reviving the iconic fiero. Kudos
To you, thanks.
Love the video. The whole thing is epic Can’t wait till it’s finished
Hopefully that won’t be too long!
Thank you for everything that you do. I look forward to all your videos and because of you i have a new love for the Fiero. Im saving up to get a 1985 like yours and i hope i can restore it to its former glory like you are. Thank you for everything and i hope to learn from this and i look forward to your next video.
Yay, the friends are back! Maybe they'll notice the different... you...
Hey Ronald, just wanted to let you know you've totally inspired me. I'm currently working on a 1995 Dodge Stealth R/T in Caracas Red. I'm just a 22 year old guy. I don't know too terribly much about cars mechanically. But you've really helped me want to learn. I really look forward to your videos and honestly they're so fantastic. I wish you all the best! You've got a big fan rootin' for ya.
Hey I’m just 23 so I’m right there with you! Also I had a 97 3000GT and I miss that car dearly. Enjoy your Stealth! They’re very fun cars
Thank you for giving up your sleep to give us this video!
