I'm only 13 years old and i always wanted to experience the old Minecraft youtubers experience. Sadly i started watching them in 2018 but at the time, everyone was quitting youtube for some reason. When i found this guy it just felt like the missing piece of my childhood can be made even though I'm soon going to be way too old for watching mc youtubers. Thank you legend
You inspired me to start a new world after many year without playing a world more than 2 days. Currently i have been playing for 2 weeks and i got several plans to my world, In many years i am enjoying minecraft again.
Helpful notes, though you might know some of these: - Shears can be used on vines or glowberry vines to keep them from growing longer than desired. - String can be used to shorten bamboo if you want it shorter - Glow lichen is an amazing resource to scatter among bushes and trees to light more open areas without using things like torches or lanterns. - Rooted dirt is fantastic under bushes or flowers for mulch Question: What version of minecraft was your first version, and which update has been your favorite so far?
@reagyman405 Ah poo, you might be right. I think that was Grian and that is probably still the case. Sorry for getting hopes up. I keep dreaming, haha.
Glow lichen is a great mood light item! You can also put a jack-o-lantern (any light really) and cover it with carpet to add light in areas where you don't want a visible light to show. I do it in stone paths with light gray carpet and grassy areas with light green, green, or moss carpet depending on what looks best for the area.
"I grew up in a yard that was full of dandelions" is brilliant, cause it makes me imagine your formative years were spent just tumbling in a patch of dandelions
I think that in the new versions of Minecraft you can just use shears (right click I think ?) to stop the glow berries from growing at any height you want without having to add strings.
Dying is always so stressful. Once I died right next to a lake behind a hill, and took too long to find it. When i got there, all my items were spread out in 1 block deep water. I was right there, about to pick them up, and most of them despawned. Oh well, that's the game I suppose. Anyway, I love how the decorations turned out! I too am a fan of oak slabs and path blocks. And lamp posts are always fun to design 😁
Haha that’s the worst! I’ve had that happen to me once before in a previous world - right when I showed up, I watched all my items vanish in front of me!
Happened to me too, fell in a ravine and a zombie fell after me. It was in a forest right next to my base so I thought it’d be easy to find, but I never did and eventually It brought me to turn on cheats, which was really unfortunate since In bedrock edition you can’t get achievements in a world if you have cheats on.
Oh! I remembered another stressful death! I was spawn camped by a piglin, and my respawn anchor ran out. Luckily I was on a server with tunnels in the ceiling, so all I had to do was climb my way through the basalt deltas, up the pillar of a fortress, and dig into the ceiling by hand. It was painful, but I made it in time
i love how you add personal touches to your world like all the dandelions. it made me smile and reminded me that i also used to stuff like that as a kid… i think ill start doing that again! thank you soupsoup
Loving this series! A few tips about gardening, in case you don't know - you can fix the length of glow berry vines by right-clicking on the end with shears. Another "trick" I like to do is to grow one of the tall default oak trees, and lightly decorate the trunk with oak logs, spruce fences, and spruce stairs. It's a lot less work than a fully custom tree but looks a bit more interesting than the default oak trees.
Here's a tip for getting more cinematic shots in replay mod: If you lower your FOV before rendering the clips it imitates the look of a low-lens camera, can be used for more foucus and to fill your screen with the subject. This "low-lens" FOV can help when having shots where you're in focus. BUT, in shots where the location is the focus, use a high FOV, as it imitates the look of a high-lens camera and the image doesn't feel claustrophobic Basically: Use low FOV when the focus of the shot is you or a specific block/entity. Use high FOV when the focus is a wider area.
You should change the flowers around the soup depending on the season or holiday! Like for spring it could stay Azalea bushes but then be something like sunflowers for summer and berry bushes for winter! Love your videos btw
Haven’t had time to sit down and work on what I want - making a little Fisherman TrytheLight documentary. But I love performing, making music, sharing stories with people. Being able to do that outside of my job, while listening to people like you share and dabble in your own passions is enough for me. All good things come in due time, so appreciate them as they find their little way around. Thanks for another great video, Soupsoup!
Dude this might be so far my favourite episode of this series. What you did with the base was simply amazing and phenomenal. So beautiful. Hope to see more of this.
I wish there were more Minecraft lets plays like this. The Minecraft video market is just flooded with hardcore 100 days videos or SMP videos, it feels like the lets plays have been neglected thank you for help bring them back.
I miss caving, I remember scaling across a ravine(or dying to one). As convenient as villager trade is, it made Minecraft feel like easy mode. Seeing you dive into a cave and die reminded me why I kept going back to Minecraft. Discovering and exploring something new.
The whole house area is so beautiful! I have a suggestion for the graves. I think instead of having the items (scaffolding, gunpowder) buried under, they should be in item frames on the graves so you can look at a grave and know what caused the death immediately. But that's just a suggestion!
Hey SoupSoup! First and foremost I love your content. I actually started doing something like this about a month ago and I’m having fun with Minecraft again! You’re my main inspiration! Anyways I came up with an idea for your world. I think TownTown needs to be remodeled. I feel like giving a village better building to live in makes the whole thing so much better. I’ve done that to my world personally and it looks amazing! If you do decide to do this I think one building you should do for the farmers is making a giant windmill with a semi large field of wheat like you did for your farm. Again I love your videos and I thought this would be a really cool idea for you! If you don’t do it, then it’s all good. 👍
This channel really showed the serene side of minecraft . this series is nor like one of those 100 day hardcore series neither like those speed running series . It's just a beautiful normal minecraft survival series , The true minecraft.
I really like the lush vegetation of your base! Although it might be a little off-theme, an artificial river through the base or something adds so many opportunities, like ships, a mini port, and a mill which utilises a water wheel. Loving the vibes of your base.
Beautiful job! You're right about the bees, I put them in all my worlds, they always make me happy just to see them flying around covered with pollen. I enjoy your slower play style, maybe not slower, more realistic, some videos make me feel lazy. I tell myself " my world, my way".
13:43 it’s alright , i actually enjoy when youtubers talk to their audience this way , like about life and stuff because you are older than many of us but even that , interacting with the people who watch you is something i enjoy seeing youtubers do
Hey, just wanna say I really appreciate this series. I've been enjoying it very much so far. I've really grown tired of the loud, more high energy content and challenges that you see a lot of these days. Also, as someone who isnt very good at building houses, I really like how you design your buildings, its very inspiring without going overboard. Personally, I much prefer building underground bunker-style houses, where the base can expand and extend further and further underground, without having to worry about how the outside looks. I just really dig the idea of an entire underground facility that is entirely self-sustaining, efficient (and completely creeper proof).
It's quite fun to see that u play minecraft together enjoy like real life do everything manually but in real life also have iron metal factory so u don't make iron farm or u ? Quite fun right lol❤
it's incredible how such a seemingly simple project makes such a huge difference, it really made the area come to life! some decoration that could be cool where the paths split off, maybe some details related to those areas? wheat sprinkled in on the way to the farm, a few barrels on the way to the fishing hut etc.
This series is always so refreshing, I'm always looking for Minecraft content, but it's hard to find series like this one. I love this series, I'm excited to see it continue.
Small little building tip: If you right click the bottom of glow berry vines with shears they will not grow longer naturally. So if you want them at a specific length, that’s totally posable.
I’ve always wanted to be a content creator but never took it seriously, even since i stumbled across your series it’s motivated me more and now i’m currently working towards a channel of my own.
Absolutely marvelous episode!! The ambience of the place just keeps getting better and better!! I’m keeping my promise and therefore have subscribed to you!! Keep putting out this beautiful and honestly much needed Minecraft content that the MCYT sphere has been lacking recently IMO. Also, I have an idea for you, totally up to you to decide if it should be implemented, but now that you have a mailbox, IT it’d be really cool if you could somehow make it so that the QOTD is in the mailbox and it looks like your fans are sending you questions through the mail for you to answer!! It’d make your world and audience that much more interactive and fun!! Again though, completely up to you, merely an idea I had. Again, great episode, keep up the amazing work, I’m rooting for you!! Looking forward to the next episode!! :DD
Man i love your videos, thank you for bringing minecraft back to life at least for me. I would love to start a serie also exactly like yours "How to enjoy minecraft again" inspired by SoupSoup if that's alright for you, but i currently have no good equipment to achieve this. I will leave this here as a future objective FOR ME. Keep it up man and if you have any advice, i'm all eyes and ears!
Your answer to the question of the day really helped me. I’ve been struggling to figure out what career I want to pursue in life but I could never settle down on something. I often forget that life is about change and growth. Anyways, i’m really enjoying your minecraft series and I wish you the best!!❤
I Just Love Your Videos I Dont Know How To Express it!.Your Voice Is Just So Cozy And Relaxing.I Am In A Hassle With My Exams Going On And Watching Your Videos Just Soothes My mind Thank You So Much For The Videos Hope I Get To See More From You
Loving the content soupsoup. It’s nice to have a creator who doesn’t get full netherite and build mega farms in the first episode. Keep it up! Also I would love to see a cool nether portal build maybe near the enchanting tower. Question: do you think you’ll ever go full time if your channel grows enough?
these series you have made has really changed my perception and taught me something about Minecraft. I can barely even type down what it is but my view on loading a fresh new world is different, like nothing matters. really just nothing, and that we can just happily enjoy that fraction of time we are in the world. thankyou.
i think itd be really cool if you could find a way for the 'spotlights' to the courtyard bowl to turn off during the day using a daylight sensor. perhaps make a litte bush of about 3x3x3 or whatever and in the middle you can put the daylight sensor
Daylight sensors work through trapdoors and I *think* carpet. So a nearby moss carpet with a daylight sensor connected to the redstone lanterns is simple enough.
I love the lets play, its always an highlight when you upload. But please consider to play with shaders on the during the whole lets play, its makes your world more livley and adorable. Would love to see the shaders on next episode. Thank youuu :)
So glad to see you grow, keep doing what you're doing. Great series, youtube lacks this kind of content. This is the essence of minecraft in my opinion, not building big and mega all the time, but just enjoying yourself, not even building much sometimes necessarly. That's what it's all about. I tried to build a city in my survival world and after getting one street almost done I was burnt out. Since then I'm taking it slower, building more small builds and the game is a lot more enjoyable again. Highly recommend it, this series portrays that well.
Underneath the camp fires for the bee hives, you could but redstone lamps or glowstone to make them glow up in the dark. If you use redstone lamps, you could wire it to a sensor so it only turns on a night.
I am genuinely so grateful for this series, it feels like old Minecraft again, and it’s so relaxing to be able to just sit down and watch. Thank you:). Question of the day: Are you ever going to consider building things like shops around your world for villagers (or just for pretend!)
W video today SoupSoup! Keep up the great work and keep on inspiring people! Suggestion: Get Gill a friend and I think you should call him Axel (short for Axelotal) What shaders do you have? Please add me to the shrine of members (I'm a legend member). Question of the day: Are you going to make this world into a kingdom.
love the vid, love the voice! a fun detail that could be added is a simple area to just watch the sunsets in your world. i do this and i love how it always ends up
Quick building tip, transitioning from path blocks to a building or something leaves a little line under the block it’s next to, replace the block beneath so that the single pixel line doesn’t show unless that’s what you are goin for.
Ideas for your world- . Beehive with villagers as beekeeper with member names . Horse stable . Horse racing area . Hay wagon . Fish store with fisherman to trade . Mad scientist inspired lab in skeleton dungeon . Drip stone lava farm in mineshaft
I like how everyone and every Minecraft series I watch does pathways differently. Personally I like new mud blocks with dark oak slabs. Some people use past some people use cobblestone mixtures some people do dirt and gravel mixtures it's it's weird but also cool

You're never too old to watch Minecraft RUclipsrs! I'm almost 20 and I'm never gonna stop 😁👍
30+ and still watching Mc RUclipsrs!
Minecraft isnt just a game..😅
This series has really helped me get back into Minecraft and I have to thank you for that.
Yeah same, it kinda reminded me that one of the main things Minecraft is about is building whatever you want.
You should add a clock tower to your base. It could serve as a treasury or something like that
Like big ben
Good idea, maybe he could make some sort of red stone system inside that dings a note block at certain times

Do the shears work on regular vines? I could’ve sworn I heard someone from Hermitcraft say it only works on glowberries and nether vines.

Question of the day: Are you ever going to consider building things like shops around your world for villagers (or just for pretend!)
watching soupsoup is so chill its like eating comfort food
I needed this so much. Thank you my favorite Minecraft RUclipsr.
W video today SoupSoup! Keep up the great work and keep on inspiring people!
Suggestion: Get Gill a friend and I think you should call him Axel (short for Axelotal)

Question of the day: Are you going to make this world into a kingdom.
i really love this series! You could make a greenhouse with most of the crops in the game near the farm
love the vid, love the voice! a fun detail that could be added is a simple area to just watch the sunsets in your world. i do this and i love how it always ends up
Love that idea!
Quick building tip, transitioning from path blocks to a building or something leaves a little line under the block it’s next to, replace the block beneath so that the single pixel line doesn’t show unless that’s what you are goin for.
Ideas for your world-
. Beehive with villagers as beekeeper with member names
. Horse stable
. Horse racing area
. Hay wagon
. Fish store with fisherman to trade
. Mad scientist inspired lab in skeleton dungeon
. Drip stone lava farm in mineshaft
love the series! some connected glass textures would do the tank really nicely
question of the day: what inspires you to build? and any tips for building?
Yes! I’m loving this series , it inspired me to create my own world!
I like how everyone and every Minecraft series I watch does pathways differently. Personally I like new mud blocks with dark oak slabs. Some people use past some people use cobblestone mixtures some people do dirt and gravel mixtures it's it's weird but also cool
Soup soup I got a build idea and is to make ur own room with all of your trophies or achievements (swords, items, ect)
I love ur videos keep it up 😊
