Lol I find it hilarious how mad people get about this show but still watch it. It's called passion, would you rather him go cry on the sideline like Allen would have done? Tom Brady has done much worse, he chased and yelled at a ref down the exist tunnel and people consider him the GOAT.
Nobody has said he wasn’t offsides what is being said is that call is almost never made and in fact often times the referee even gives warnings to coaches when it happens once or twice. And for the refs to decide a game on something like that is wrong
@@Ikneeslpit wasn’t wrong. The refs only give “warnings” if the player is just barely off and isn’t sure if he’s on or not. Here, Toney was COMPLETELY off, and it’s inexcusable for him to not recognize that. And stop it with the “they never call it, why call it now?” Well, offensive players are never offsides, except for Toney on that one play. So why did he choose to be offsides that one play? It’s his fault, not the refs. The refs didn’t “choose” to call that, and they didn’t “decide” to lose the game for the Chiefs. They were just penalizing Toney for doing something against the rules, and that’s their job.
Had the tables been turned and the Bills had lost in the same way and Josh behaved the way Patrick Mahomes did, Nick would have torn Josh apart, called him a big baby, a sore loser...... Toney was so far over the line the ref was unable to see the ball! Come on!
Offsides is a free play for the offense when the defense lines up in the neutral zone so when the offense lines up in the neutral zone its basically a free play for the defense. Common logic.
Ja17 will never make excuses, even though calls have been brutal against the bills since the giants game (which the giants probablly should have won). The "fumble" by kelce was nearly the same play that was called incomplete in buff v philly. If the calls were consistent, the bills would have beat philly.
THANK YOU!! Chiefs fans and players be acting like they never get calls in their favor when in actuality it's almost entirely the opposite until this season.

@@joejohnsen6409the refs also gave the Chiefs 2 clock stoppages they shouldn’t have had which considering how the Chiefs had no timeouts and it was under a minute left that gave the Chiefs at least 2-3 extra opportunities to score that they shouldn’t have had
Mahomes was wrong about the refs...Toney was WAY off sides. No question. The refs didn't want to call it, but it was so obvious that they had to. And Mahomes has had favorable calls before too and he never called that out.
The problem isn't that he was offsides the problem and why he was frustrated was them letting the play go through all the way that close to the end of the game when your star guys only have 1 or 2 deep plays left in the tank. An offensive offsides should have blown the play dead as soon as the snap hit and the flag was there from the start they just didn't whistle when they should have.

Um Nick .. saying the Bills were 'healthier' shows you don't really follow the game that closely. Bills have most of the starting defense out. Also, your 'cool play' was still with over a minute and a half left in the game with Buffalo having all three time outs. Even Mahomes said afterward that play did not gaurantee them a win. Your homerism is charming but take the L ... the Chiefs are a solid above average team.
He looks at the immediate injury report and forgets that 3 bills defenders including quite literally their 2 best players are out for the year lmao. Chiefs were mainly missing a Lb and a safety that were average.

@@robertsmit2337 Nick also said that a chiefs player that was injured for last years game would be the difference next time, they traded that corner away later that season...
Yeah, not to mention that after the penalty that apparently doomed them, the Chiefs had the ball on the 46 yard line with 1:12 left, two timeouts, and down by only three points. Have we ever seen the Chiefs with Mahomes look so hapless and hopeless? Butker kicked a 62 yard field goal at Arrowhead, so to do that again, Mahomes needed to get 10 yards, and he had three tries to do it. 10 yards, and they can at least make an attempt to tie the game. That's bad team stuff. Sure, every once in a while they can break off some cool lucky long play, but they get moved back even 5 yards or hit any kind of speed bump, they can easily spiral and stall out. When Brady was coming back on the Saints, the refs took a touchdown away and moved them back 10 yards with 16 seconds on the clock, and 13 seconds later they were back in the end zone. Chiefs offense didn't used to be so fragile.
It was so obvious Toney was offsides! And so much about " Mahomes didn't say anything last week! " Of course he didn't! Minutes before the infamous bad call, there was another as obvious bad call that awarded his team with 15 yards of forward progress and a 1st down last week when he was at the receiving end of a totally legal hit - a perfect shoulder to shoulder hit - as he was running towards the sideline, and he knows it. Referees are horrible! But with everybody! They are not the reason why KC's wide receivers keep dropping the ball
Don't forget how they stopped the clock for the Chiefs in that Packer game at the end when it should have still been running as the receiver was moving backwards when he went out of bounds.
The reason why the play happened wasn't because of where he was lined up, but I 100% believe it was because of the flag. Travis Kelce either took a massive gamble on what could have easily became a game sealing turnover (he had a guy ready to wrap him and a guy jumping in front of him when he threw that ball) or he saw the flag and thought he had a free play for defensive offside so he took a shot at a big play. I'd lay 20 to 1 it's the second thing, and no one is talking about that.
Mahomes is SO PAMPERED AND PRIVILEGED by ridiculously favorable calls, that he thinks he’s ENTITLED to the refs ignoring blatant fouls…. What a joke that ANYONE would suggest it not be called. Would ANYONE argue with the call if it was against Carolina? Gimme a break.
Even back in high school JV football, I was taught to look down the line and make sure I'm not lining up offside as a receiver. Not exactly rocket science 😂😂😂.
I love the idea of Mahomes being so obsessed about beautiful plays that he's basically saying that the rules should be ignored if the play was cool enough.
Only loss on mahomes is Denver...Detroit toney single handingly gave Detroit the game literally..eagles mvs dropped wide open TD last week uncalled obvious pi this week a offsides its so funny😂
"After further review, that play was so cool that it's been determined that no callable foul occurred on the play. We apologize to Mr. Mahomes for having the audacity to get a call right for once."
The most annoying thing about the MVS missed call (which was bad), they won’t acknowledge that earlier in that drive the Packers got called for a equally as bad call for a late hit on Mahomes. Chiefs can’t have it both ways, get bad calls that go their way and whine and complain about calls or non-calls not going their way.
While I see your point, that Mahomes late hit didn't change anything where the MVS call was a 40 yard or so difference. Not exactly equal when one makes no difference and the other a big difference. I understand what you are trying to say but just pointing that out
@@guiltynessness8926it gave them 15 yards wym it didn’t change anything. Not to mention at the end the clock shoulda been rolling bc Pacheco wasn’t goin forward when he went out of bounds either way they miss calls and the chiefs benefit from a ton of calls and non calls in the most crucial moments. Can’t ignore all of those then try to complain when it’s shaky once.
@@comebackkid5976 I meant that it was already a first down before the call. I'm just saying I wouldn't consider those equal. Regardless the hit shouldn't have been called and the MVS one should have. I just don't consider them equal from the downs and yards.
On top of that, in the bills game, none of them are acknowledging the missed defense holding that was obvious by the chiefs when the bills were driving, which would have given the bills a 1st down with 2 minutes and this play would have never happened
Sorry Nick, you're way off on this one. The reason offensive offside is so rare is that IT HARDLY EVER HAPPENS (because the O-lines know how to line up and most WRs know to check their alignment with the officials). Warnings are given when a player is straying offside by a fraction. But in his case...it definitely did happen, by a wide margin and Toney didn't check his alignment once. He was way offside. It had to be called.
there's no evidence that's why it happens so infrequently. have to look at 33k offensive plays run in 2022 (where three were called) and 33k offensive plays run in 2021 (where 0 were called) to figure out why it's not called more often. My guess? they warn you 1. and they don't call it 2.
You are wrong! 😢 I watched most of the Miami TN game tonight and watched specifically for players lined up in the neutral zone and it occurred at LEAST 8-10 times with ONE FLAG on TN………That is the problem KC has with the call, it rarely gets called..oh unless Buffalo needs a little help with a win😮
Hardly ever happens because it's incredibly rare to see a player so offsides that the line ref can't see the ball. That egregious of an offsides doesn't even happen in highschool ball
KC can't complain. So many massive defensive plays have been nullified because a defensive lineman's head was in the neutral zone, it was bound to happen against the offense
I’ve seen questionable penalties bring back touchdowns for many teams. It just happens. You have to win decisively so that one penalty doesn’t affect the outcome. Also, this was clearly offsides.

Think of the reverse for a second. Could you imagine the discussion if they didn’t call the offsides and the play stood because “well it didn’t affect the play anyways” and “it’s a really cool play” I think that would honestly look far worse on the referees at that point
Imagine if Nick had his way and the Referee picked up the flag because Reid did not get a warning (or are all the other officials on the field supposed to be informed when the warning is given so they know its OK to call offsides). Imagine the reaction. Also, as Rex Ryan said today, he never in his coaching career had an official approach him to warn about a WR being offsides. Ryan said officials do that when an o-lineman is close to the zone and its a judgment call, not when a Wideout is lined up as a linebacker for the other team.
You could look at it 2 ways. Toney should have checked with the refs, but he is also standing in front of a very experienced player in Travis kelce. How is Travis not going to say something? After how much ball he has played, he could probably see that toney looked a little off.
@@ahastar1141 That's true too, but once again it's something the Chiefs could've done - not the refs. Also, Toney is looking RIGHT at the ball... All we hear about is Josh Allens interceptions, but nothing on Mahomes throwing a interception in almost every game, and his panic and bad plays. Allen is playing better then Mahomes this year, but NICK is jock strap chiefs fan boy, so you will never hear that out of his mouth
I love Nick but he’s delusional taking Mahomes’s and Reid’s side here. It was not a terrible call. Toney was clearly offsides. Penalties must be called 🤷🏻♂️
Toney was offsides and it should be a penalty. The point he is making is that probably dozens, hundreds of players have been offsides and were not called. Penalties must be called, but they aren't. That's the point.

He wasnt wrong though, what Nick is saying is 100% true lol
Had the tables been turned and the Bills had lost in the same way and Josh behaved the way Patrick Mahomes did, Nick would have torn Josh apart, called him a big baby, a sore loser...... Toney was so far over the line the ref was unable to see the ball! Come on!

Ja17 will never make excuses, even though calls have been brutal against the bills since the giants game (which the giants probablly should have won). dumb take. it's nuanced dude. offensive offsides isn't the same as defensive. 200+ neutral zone calls alone on the D before enchroament. on 25k plays run this year. 3 Offensive offsides last year on 33k plays run. 0 in 2021. why? because the officials warn you. if you're worried about that call being made as a WR it's because you're ADHD. the refs not calling it and giving warnings has effectively MADE IT NOT A RULE. You are being massively inefficient if you're making that part of the pre play check list.

Last time I checked, the Bills are missing Milano, Tre'White, and lost Aj epenesa and Hyde. And that's all on the defense.

Also, as Rex Ryan said today, he never in his coaching career had an official approach him to warn about a WR being offsides. Ryan said officials do that when an o-lineman is close to the zone and its a judgment call, not when a Wideout is lined up as a linebacker for the other team.
