I wonder what would happen if they added like a 1 second spawn protection.. As far as I know energy rifle is the only thing that can do damage to players as soon as the round starts, so adding a 1 second spawn delay would prevent this garbage without actually nerfing the gun, and without really affecting anything else. Literally all the spawn protection would do is allow players to move out of the way of the energy rifle.

It would be a bit of a problem, the usual round on arena for me is 3 seconds, sometimes even less.
I use the war horn and daggers to get to the enemy and backstab them. if I had to wait a second I would be dead.

actually, they can fix this by just limiting the amount of bounces the energy rifle can make to 3 or 4
this would be a huge W instead of just lowering the damage.
