At 27:57 in this video is a shot of the fishing machines shadow on the peer. It would be INCREDIBLE if an artist with as much talent as he has for fishing would paint that still and send it to him. In my opinion everyone else fishing is just in his shadow... Thank you Richard!
I’ve learned several things that make my fishing more productive and so more enjoyable. I catch and release most of the time. Thanks to you for everything you do for us.

Hey Richard. Great video. Thanks for taking time to produce. I will be there in April this year (2018). I'll fish Brown Creek and along that 431 Bridge. See you in the spring.
Thanks for always showing your catch. Many people on here just catch and never show very well on camera. I notice you make the extra effort. Good video of those beautiful fish. Thanks!
I've just watched a true sportsman, who only takes home what he needs, and leaves the rest for others to enjoy, best wishes Richard, and tight lines, from over here in Scotland

Nice....that last spot was a chunk of a fish.....used to catch a lot of spots on the ledges over on West Point with plastic worms. I gotta try some bridge fishing, never done a lot of it except for crappie. Another great video, loved the old vintage reel too.....I have a couple of Mitchell 300's that I bought about 35 years ago....dont use anymore but just cant bring myself to get rid of them either.....thanks for bringing us along on another great fishing trip.....enjoyed....Bill Jones, Chuckey, Tn.
love your videos gene.little tip. i take old prescription bottle and cut a notch out of the rim. when i get through with that tackle i put the lure in the bottle and put the lid on. keeps everything from getting tangled with other rods. good to store lures in too. keeps em separated and the brown hue protects them from the sun..
I lived in Madison from 1990-1995. I always wanted to fish those bridges. Lord willing if I ever get the chance, I'll do that. Richard, Elmo, you are inspiring!
I love how you back reel. Besides you , my uncle sebby and I don't see anyone do this anymore. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Drags don't have brains. Plus there are so many advantages to reeling backwards as aposed to drags especially with light line and spinning tackle. I adore your videos. You need to come fish this muddy river and muddy bank line and hang into one of these Oklahoma 80lb to 100lb + Flathead or Blues we get to enjoy.
There's nothing like reeling in what feels like it might be a 30lb or so and when she gets 20 feet or so from you, you get to know how fast a BIG cat can spool all your line off your reel. I use 80lb braid so I can try and turn their head but that depends on having new line, super glue ing your knots, and fighting the mud and everything else. Rod length also play a huge part but I prefer a 7 to 7.5 foot rod. Others use 14' to 17' rods.
