  • Hi, cookie and cake artists EVERYWHERE! In this video, I’m thrilled to be joined by Mark Smith of the highly regarded Custom Cookie Cutters in Australia (link below). We’re here to give all of you newcomers to my cookie art competition a BIG warm welcome to it! First though, a huge thank-you to Mark for having faith in my competition’s primary objective (to help sugar artists everywhere learn and grow) and for joining as a new Gold Sponsor this year! Custom Cookie Cutters is one of 17 companies responsible for the 2024 competition’s record-breaking $25,500 USD (~$38,600 AUD) in prizes, and I couldn’t be more grateful for Mark's support.
My competition has been conducted annually and mostly in person since 2018 but, this year, it’s back online for its third time - meaning that ANYONE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD CAN JOIN the fun and learning! Even so, the online format is relatively new, and I realize that many of Mark’s fellow Australians and others across the globe may not know much about it . . .
. . . but this video chat is about to change all of that! 😀 In it, Mark and I provide the COMPLETE COMPETITION LOWDOWN - that is, all you need to know, especially as a newcomer, about the what, why, where, and when of it! PLEASE TAKE A LISTEN, AND CONSIDER STRETCHING YOUR COOKIE ART SKILLS with an entry in Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™ this year!
Further competition details (rules, theme, and registration link) can be found in the COMPETITION OVERVIEW POST on my site Cookie Connection (link below). And I am just an email away (sweetlife@juliausher.com) if you ever have questions or need any competition guidance. Happy cookie-ing! Mark and I can't wait to see your entries!

P.S. I apologize for the sketchy audio-video syncing in areas, but the video is a live recording, and Mark and I were across the world from one another at recording time. :)
