I believe what we are seeing is something like that. That somehow, someway, the creator either made contact with Guby (or rather the entity that claims to be something like Guby or is actually Guby) or Guby contacted him. The entity told the creator a bunch of lies and possibly tried to use him to get adults at first but then realized a better pool to get to, did something to the creator (the creator was in the first photo from 1965) then found another to use. If you look at the photo of the creator, you will notice that he is not quite the same person. They have different body shapes. So I think the “live man” who wears the Guby mask was the creators replacement. Something else I want to point out, the creator sitting on stage before children was actually very common in those days. The Mickey Mouse Club started that trend and for a long while it was still pretty commonplace for a children’s television show to have a live studio audience made up of children. Since Guby is on stage, I have a feeling that that was how he used to brainwash children in the past. But as technology grew so did his methods. Since Guby is obviously watching the children through the television screen, I think the “Guby” masked man is not really around.

So what im assuming is happening is that he is abducting these children to take parts from them to make himself more human/humanesk for some reason. Either to fit in among humans while he preys or to extend his life. It would also explain why he has frog eyes. He took what he needed to survive which happened to be a frog at somepoint.
I think the "teeth feast" refers to not a literal "feast" of him consuming them, but more so, that teeth are used to grind through food and them growing represent the "grinding" through knowledge and becoming an adult. I'm beginning to think this was a fever dream, but when Guby got to shapes, I kept thinking of that artist (Swedish? Norwegian?) who set up a website that featured a small female doll in a brightly-colored playroom. Viewers could click on something--tea cup, book, whatever--and the doll would animate and interact with that thing. Some of the results were horrific--I think one of them was the doll using a shard of the tea cup to saw at her wrist--but I have tried EVERY single Google search I can think of and nothing is coming up.

My theory is that Guby was abducting kids back in 1951 or around that time too cause one line said 'we are not the first' and we also see the masked man who was sitting in front of children probably talking to them but Guby is an ai that possesses different people probably people who have more access to interacting with children ( not sure bout this one) and the person in the present( 2023-24) got possessed by Guby and is controlling him . This just might be my brain deeply entrenched in Cyberpunk brainrot, but what if the 2020's Güby is a personality construct of the 1950's Güby? Like, an AI based on the digitized consciousness of this old time serial kidnapper? Maybe whoever created this new show had bad intentions from the start and used the tech because this man knew how to lure kids in with the Güby persona before going for the throat, or maybe since this was children's entertainment in the 50's, the original kidnapper was never caught and thus this demon was unknowingly unleashed on the current generation. It's simplified, operating primarily off of the persona rather than the person, but it still retains that ruthlessness.
Mines is that GUBY is an ai, slowly learning and having glitches and breakdowns maybe the creator of the show, is making guby himself by using children body parts, and somehow putting them together? And somehow, guby’s ai has learned to get information and the creator uses this to kidnap.
Another thought is maybe, the character using memory’s from people or the children and add it to the show. Maybe the character stalks them first to learn about them, so they add it to the show. I still believe it contains AI in some way

The scene with the credit card is something you can definitely see irl too... And while I'm not a child anymore and can't be scared by someone doing things to children, I'm pretty aware that anyone can scam anyone for their credit card contents and other digital information! It's scary knowing that one can act truly innocent if they want to scam you because it's something that's real!
21:26 during htis part of the story, the characters are super starving on their way to the arctic, and AM tells them to kill the bird thats been causing hurricanes due to its size. the characters arent well equipped enough, so they have to run away from the bird. you could make the connection that Guby isnt allowing them to speak or release their pain from the torture.
I looked into the photo shown in the last video you saw and I found out what that was. It's a photo of El Ajedrecista (The Chess Player in English) and to sorta quote Wikipedia: "It was an automaton made in 1912 in Madrid and it was one of the first autonomous machines capable of playing chess." (Meaning it didn't need a human to help it move like other automatons in the past). It could be possibly the first computer game to have existed. I thought it was neat to bring up because of the possible AI theory he brought up briefly. Edit: I should correct myself. When I said "it didn't need a human to help it move", this was because the previous two chess playing "automatons" were not that at all. They had someone literally inside moving them. Ajedrecista didn't since it was an actual automaton.

This is super well made, and using Ai to draw the artist’s thoughts is a great use for it. The fact that this analog horror is made on the fear of atrocities and the unknown play well into a side of horror not explored often in analog.
The mention of I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream makes wanna mention how there is a game adaptation of the story, I don’t know much about the game as I personally have yet to play it or watch gameplays of it but I think Marcus should def check it out because not only is the story interesting, but I’m sure that and the game would make a great video!

Hey, You often mention that You stop the videos, read things out loud, go back to the single frame inserts etc. and I definitely think it's a good thing so don't worry about it. I don't have much time to discover analog horrors, RUclips ARGs etc. on my own so thanks to channels like Your's getting into details and putting the clues together as things progress I still can enjoy those amazing stories. Which would make sense why the first other “friend” we saw would be the 14 year old boy since he’s the one he tried to figure out the shows true intentions. Also the 14 year old could be the one who says “this is not a meadow” since he’s the smartest and less naive out of all the kids.

I'm beginning to think this was a fever dream, but when Guby got to shapes, I kept thinking of that artist (Swedish? Norwegian?) who set up a website that featured a small female doll in a brightly-colored playroom. Viewers could click on something--tea cup, book, whatever--and the doll would animate and interact with that thing. Some of the results were horrific--I think one of them was the doll using a shard of the tea cup to saw at her wrist--but I have tried EVERY single Google search I can think of and nothing is coming up.
I'll park here till someone else leaves a possible result.

My theory is that Guby was abducting kids back in 1951 or around that time too cause one line said 'we are not the first' and we also see the masked man who was sitting in front of children probably talking to them but Guby is an ai that possesses different people probably people who have more access to interacting with children ( not sure bout this one) and the person in the present( 2023-24) got possessed by Guby and is controlling him . This just might be my brain deeply entrenched in Cyberpunk brainrot, but what if the 2020's Güby is a personality construct of the 1950's Güby? Like, an AI based on the digitized consciousness of this old time serial kidnapper? Maybe whoever created this new show had bad intentions from the start and used the tech because this man knew how to lure kids in with the Güby persona before going for the throat, or maybe since this was children's entertainment in the 50's, the original kidnapper was never caught and thus this demon was unknowingly unleashed on the current generation. It's simplified, operating primarily off of the persona rather than the person, but it still retains that ruthlessness.

Mines is that GUBY is an ai, slowly learning and having glitches and breakdowns maybe the creator of the show, is making guby himself by using children body parts, and somehow putting them together? And somehow, guby’s ai has learned to get information and the creator uses this to kidnap.
And the other characters in the show are the other children.
Another thought is maybe, the character using memory’s from people or the children and add it to the show. Maybe the character stalks them first to learn about them, so they add it to the show. I still believe it contains AI in some way

I looked into the photo shown in the last video you saw and I found out what that was.
It's a photo of El Ajedrecista (The Chess Player in English) and to sorta quote Wikipedia:
"It was an automaton made in 1912 in Madrid and it was one of the first autonomous machines capable of playing chess." (Meaning it didn't need a human to help it move like other automatons in the past). It could be possibly the first computer game to have existed.
I thought it was neat to bring up because of the possible AI theory he brought up briefly.
Edit: I should correct myself. When I said "it didn't need a human to help it move", this was because the previous two chess playing "automatons" were not that at all. They had someone literally inside moving them. Ajedrecista didn't since it was an actual automaton.

This is super well made, and using Ai to draw the artist’s thoughts is a great use for it. The fact that this analog horror is made on the fear of atrocities and the unknown play well into a side of horror not explored often in analog.
I love watching these videos at the dead of night and then being incredibly on edge whenever I hear something outside for weeks
The mention of I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream makes wanna mention how there is a game adaptation of the story, I don’t know much about the game as I personally have yet to play it or watch gameplays of it but I think Marcus should def check it out because not only is the story interesting, but I’m sure that and the game would make a great video!

I definitely agree with the theory that GÜBY was a show at least once before. I can see there being some sort of incident in the 1950's with a child mascot that took kids. Because of this, im lowkey waiting for an adult to discover this show who also remembers the original (or another varient of) GÜBY. If that happens, I'm sure theyd be able to put two and two together, especially if the culprit was caught the first time around.

I don't have much time to discover analog horrors, RUclips ARGs etc. on my own so thanks to channels like Your's getting into details and putting the clues together as things progress I still can enjoy those amazing stories.
