Ted and Robin always loved each from the start she, the only reason she married barney was because she and Ted still wanted different things but barney didn't mind not ever having kids and Robin regretted marrying barney and not Ted, but even when they dated and he was with other girls Robin always loved him just like how he loved her, it was a long hard journey but the ending was perfect❤️
That's why I wonder: If poor Tracy hadn't died in such a horrible way (I hate the authors for that because it looks like an horrible way to kill her off just to allow Ted and Robin to get back together), are we sure that, eventually, he would not have broken up with her to get back with Robin? He didn't want perfect, he wanted Robin.

He has to tell this story to his kids to explain how much he lived another and if it was okay with them to date her. Which they show of course and that it was obvious.
