  • Les Cook Islands ont une façon bien à eux de taper le toere , on remarque que les toere sont posés sur leurs genoux contrairement aux Tahitiens qui les mettent par terre ...
    C'est tout à fait un style mais oh combien bien exécuté et ceci avec dextérité et aisance !!!
    Kia Orana Kuki Airani !!!

    I am a big fan of Ancient drums, from the north to the south and from east to the west of the world. Drums means heartbeat and the heartbeat is the basic of al life, the primal sound, the sound of Mother Nature. Thank you for posting this.

    This is my second song for my Pacifica dance, I have to do 4 dances and it’s such a good feeling to dance just how they dance because you can learn more cultures and it’s very fun to dance along. Yes I am doing Cook Island for my performance it’s actually really fun if you predict, seeing the girls moving fast is difficult but once you get it, it’s really easy and fun!

      Go to an Indian shop to buy that. It's a can storing cabin bread biscuit. Usually found in Indian shops. Eat all the biscuits and use the tin can for your drum

    Je retrouve là, plusieurs rythmes des îles: Tahiti, Tuamotu et non pas des îles Cook à part le pahu ( petit tambour ) battus avec les baguettes. La manière de jouer la grosse caisse diffère légèrement de celle deTahiti. Les percussionnistes sont peut-être des îles Cook, mais le tempo est de Tahiti.

    • @teuiraz
      @teuiraz 4 года назад +2

      Nope its not. We have our own beats and our own way of drumming nothing should be copied. we have different style pates that have an either high or low sound and each of the drums are played differently to go in between of the beat of the pate taki (lead drum) then you have the small pate and the tin which is from the northern cook islands and then the pa'u mango and the pa'u which is the heart beat and tempo of the drum. It is totally different from Tahiti style drumming. But at the end of the day it sounds beautiful. Kia Manuia

    • @teuiraz
      @teuiraz 4 года назад +2

      This link will take you to a video that shows you what I mean. It shows you how each drum is played differently then you will understand what I mean. These beats we have been playing for hundreds of years way before colonization.

      For me these rhythms come from Tahiti ... I remember when I was in Tahiti to have heard the rhythms of the cook islands, which were different in tempo, faster and jerky.

      @@teuiraz I would say that the population of your home comes from the Tuamotu Islands, Tahiti and Bora-Bora. They are shipwrecked and many travelers.
