Here's a short weather forecast for South Africa today:
Today, the South African Weather Service has issued several impact-based warnings. A Yellow Level 4 Warning is in effect for KwaZulu-Natal Province, where severe thunderstorms are anticipated. Residents should be prepared for damaging winds, hail, intense lightning, and heavy rainfall, particularly in areas outside the north-eastern part of the province. In the Eastern Cape Province, a Yellow Level 2 Warning has been issued. Severe thunderstorms are expected to bring hail, heavy downpours, and strong winds, which may lead to localized flooding in vulnerable areas, as well as potential damage to infrastructure. This warning covers the northern and eastern regions of the Eastern Cape, along with the Highveld and escarpment areas of Mpumalanga Province. Additionally, a Yellow Level 1 Warning is active along the coastline from Alexander Bay to Cape Agulhas. Here, damaging winds and rough waves could create challenges for navigation at sea.
