So does Toshi just record into a midi from the keyboard, or is it an export from mp3, or what? I'm so curious...

I almost always record in wav files. If the synthesia is multicolored, then I made notes and he used the midi from those notes. If the synthesia is all one color, then I got too lazy and/or too busy to make notes and rerecorded in midi format to make a synthesia.
