There is still a great discussion going on regarding the Luohan Quan. Genereally it is thought that this Xiao Luohan is the first road of an older 18 road Luohan system taught by Shi Degen.
Some are still not sure If he developed this system out of his knowledge of older Shaolin or If he learned it like this. - Спорт
Outstanding performance... no words
The feat I personally find most incredible is how he twice drops into what resembles Gomukhasana or Cow Face Pose, a seated yoga posture with one leg folded over the other, and then springs up from that position to his feet. That requires so much strength, agility, flexibility, and coordination!
It sure does , i practiced it every day for 1 hour over 2 years to be able to spring out of sitting stance.

Lots of take downs and grappling in this form. I've never seen the form before, but I can see several take downs.
do it against an actual opponent for a change.
This's just an exercise; when used against an actual opponent, the manoeuvers are modified.
But this exercise trains speed, strength, accuracy & boldness only.
There are no real opponents in fighting sports. They are all fake. Their rules filter vital techniques and the gloves gives the fighters a fake sense of invulnerability.
This is nothing to "do" against actual opponents, This is part of some dozens of forms that are learned to work subconsciously in real situations. Real that is no gloves no referees and no rules. No fighting sport can claim the reproduction of the real thing.
@@catfood_03_4stray The purpose of forms is NOT to do applications subconsciously. That’s a very common misunderstanding. A form is used to drill movement patterns and work on the correct Jin in every movement. Very different from that common misconception.
