@Chris Becker right!!! Like why put half of your settings in trex like core clock and then use afterburner for everything else its literally doing double work and then you have 2 different programs trying to control the settings of each graphics card? Lol
@Chris Becker hahah thanks man! When i first started i enjoyed using afterburner because you could mess with the settings and have fun fine tuning the gpu, but once you get your mist efficient settings you dont do anything with afterburner anymore. And if afterburner fails or resets or shuts down you could do some serious damage especially when your not looking at it anymore cause its mining away. I definitely spent way to much on my mining rig to have it all go up in smoke lol
Hi Sebs! First, many thanks for so much material, helped me so much! I found something interesting on the fan control with my tweaks and mistakes - see if can help you! You showed us how to control the fan by its speed (say 80%) or target temperature (say 60º). You can do both together, and allowing the computer to auto control fan temperature according to your target! I did this, reviewing the error codes from T-Rex: --fan t:65[10-79] = targeting 65º temperature, allowing the GPU to control the fan from between 10% to 79%. This way you can have the best of both worlds and preserve further the fans. Testing here it is working well. Best regards.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to explaining things in an engaging way. I have a question on the above as I am looking to break away from operating systems that manage my rigs to doing this myself. Unfortunately I have a stupid question. In Hive OS, when I add a new GPU, it has added it in a way that then lists it out of order and against clocking settings for a different GPU. When you are inputting the parameters for all of your cards, does T rex correlate the input in order of the PCIe slots? for example: when you are inputting the locked core clock in the above video as 0,1050,1050, is this going sequentially from the slot on the left towards the slot on the right? 0 being the 1st slot, 1050 being the second slot, 1050 being the 3rd slot and so on? Thank you for your time, Alan
Hi Alan. Yes T-rex does sort GPUs by PCIe indexing. Unfortunatley, on many motherboards that indexing isn't "in order". For example it might be the two x16 slots are #1 and #2 even though there might be a few x1 slots between them. I hope this helps :)

Hi I have a overclocking video about 1660 Supers: ruclips.net/video/GCiPpnxFrOI/видео.html The one that looks like it’s using a lot of power, it’s just a bug in Trex, it’s not using that much power. Good luck!
Works alot better then afterburner so thanks for the tutorial. Just have some problem with fancontrol for one 1060, after 10 minutes I get a error it can't be monitored by t Rex miner 😂 However everything else works so happy it won't crash :D
So the short answer is “I don’t know yet” lol. I’m looking into this right now. You can of course monitor it basically on your pool dashboard, but for more precise monitoring it might be some sort of Remote Desktop setup. I’m planning a video on this!
You can find the following options in the Readme.MD of T-Rex miner: --api-bind-http IP:port for the miner API via HTTP (default: 127.0.0.1:4067). Set to 0 to disable. For external access set IP to 0.0.0.0, in which case setting "--api-read-only" is recommended as well. --api-read-only Allow only read operations for API So basically append the following to your t-rex.exe command line: --api-bind-http 0.0.0.0:4067 --api-read-only When you start t-rex you will get a popup from Windows Firewall that you need to approve (otherwise Windows firewall will block access). In the t-rex command line window you will also see a line like this: ApiServer: HTTP server started on 0.0.0.0:4067 Then you should be able to get a T-rex dashboard on any browser from another computer by entering into the address bar: :4067 If you omit the "--api-read-only" you will also be able to shutdown t-rex from the remote computer (dashboard has a shutdown switch).
180W 1660s ? ouch ! must be a bug ! very cool video as always ! for one of my rigs on windows, I do a combination of both. I use core lock in trex, but I OC the memory and fans in afterburner. the crashes seems to recover fine like that also.
If you haven’t already you could do a guide on how to use msi after burner to overclock multiple gpus eg if your rig has 8 of the same brand gpus how to oc all of them in after burner.
I did it!! Works great. So stupid question so I got a 3080,3070,2060. I have had more problems with my 3070 and getting incorrect shares both in Trex and Phoenix miner. I was reading through the readme file and it talks about the dag build mode. Could this be the cause because it’s giving it a diff dag then it should be?
Hi mate, another quality video. Just one irrelevant question, my Windows keeps updating itself, even though, I tried to disable it in the service, It will still come on for some reason. How do you solve this problem, thanks.
Bro just a question. It's about your gpu I notice you have one 1660 super spending more than 200W and other one same 1660 super 66W so the Kh/W it's very different, maybe you don't reduce the power limit? Or what a Happened?

I keep in my mind a question: If is needed a x8 or x16 PCIe slot to run over 25MH/s, why on start of miner they go to 45-47 and quickly down to 22-25? I still think is a nerf issue, not a PCIe limitation. What you think about? Is a wild tought?
So I can tell you are talking about the rtx 3060. Yeah of course it’s a nerf issue with that card. Other cards don’t behave like that and don’t need a x8/x16 slot to get full hashrate.

Then you should be able to get a T-rex dashboard on any browser from another computer by entering into the address bar: :4067
If you omit the "--api-read-only" you will also be able to shutdown t-rex from the remote computer (dashboard has a shutdown switch).
@@SebsFinTechChannel anydesk is handy for that use.
Very nice content here, have you try with other miners, eg. Gminer? I have a mixed rig of A cards and N cards so t-rex is out of my options.
180W 1660s ? ouch ! must be a bug ! very cool video as always ! for one of my rigs on windows, I do a combination of both. I use core lock in trex, but I OC the memory and fans in afterburner. the crashes seems to recover fine like that also.
Haha yeah it’s a bug don’t worry
If you haven’t already you could do a guide on how to use msi after burner to overclock multiple gpus eg if your rig has 8 of the same brand gpus how to oc all of them in after burner.
Thank for video I want to lock my all gpu temp at 70 c what command ? thank you.
Thanks for sharing!
i didn't see if you had 3070ti overclock ranges :'( any chance of those please
Seems great, any way to get the overclock parameters to work in nicehash?
Hi mate, another quality video. Just one irrelevant question, my Windows keeps updating itself, even though, I tried to disable it in the service, It will still come on for some reason. How do you solve this problem, thanks.
ruclips.net/video/TCa8PUU16zg/видео.html that’s my video on windows settings for mining, check it out maybe I do something that will help with this.
Can you this in phoenix too? Im running 3gh/s, so 0.35% less dev fee is important to me😊
I don’t know I’m going to be looking into Phoenix Miner soon!
This video is incredible! wow! thank you!
Bro just a question. It's about your gpu I notice you have one 1660 super spending more than 200W and other one same 1660 super 66W so the Kh/W it's very different, maybe you don't reduce the power limit? Or what a
Happened?
was the link for the "locked cclock " feature video deleted? I do not see the link in the description @17:12
hello sebs can you show how to add watch dog to t-rex ? using windows? like hivOS
E;g
-WD share time
-Power min usage.
For example if the GPU crash it will restart itself and if the connection is lost it will restart itself.
Thank you if you could create or link the video if you had done making it ,,
It's a great video with fine thorough approach. But why are you saying goodbye to me like I'm a toddler, lol :D
Do you have 1660 super mining overclock settings? I'm trying to reach 31-32 mhs directly without AB
What is the intensity for?
This the best crypto channel! Greetings from Poland ;)
Hey Poland I have some friends living there! Have a great day and thanks for your nice comment!
Will this way of overclocking also work in linux?
Thanks ! u explained nice
Can you do the same for t-rex running on Linux?
Is there possible, when in 1 rig i have 4 gpu, and i just want to run 3 gpu dude??
Because my rig is pc gaming, so i wqnt 3 gpu runing to mining, and 1 gpu for gaming,
Its possible?
Awesome Help and Music, keep it up.
How to add both fan speed AND max temp like in msiafterburner?
Do you even need to adjust power limit when you use --lock cclock?
hi seb, do you know any way to configure trex to stop mining, in case of high temperature or a failing fan? or getting a warning on my cel for this events?
For nbminer are the same commands?
Thank you. You are the best.
Wondering if it's the same on gminer
Is there also a temp. limit command just like the one in msi afterburner?
look up the usage of - - fan option, you can set up the GPU to target specific temperatures
how do i enable auto update t-rex via web interface, it required api key generation. thanks
Thank you bro!
tenes la config para las rtx 2060
If you hold shift and right click trex miner, click copy file path, little easier 🥺🤗
Very helpful. Thx.
Glad it helped!
Great video. Thanks bro! Need some advice. I keep getting blue screen of death with lolminer and Trex miner. Error message says “MEMORY_MANAGEMENT” and sometimes “System service_exceptions”.
I am mining ethermine pool. 3x rtx 3090, 2x rtx 3080ti, and 1x 3060ti. Two 1000 PSU. i5 cpu. 16 RAM. Freshly built setup. Not sure why I keep getting blue screen of death 😢.
how did you connect those two PSUs together in one rig? You need to balance them if they are being used at the same time.
hello and thank you for this video now with this manipulation we have to start manually? is it possible in automatic mode without administrator request? thank you
What do you mean by automatic mode?
@@SebsFinTechChannel thank you for your answer I found on the other hand I always have errors on my gpu are they dead or it is necessary to repad perhaps? thank you
I get this gpu idle error sometimes with trex.... How to fix
Is it working on phoenix miner also?
How to monitor from mobile i am unable to change localhost to my local ip of pc
How to disable LHR auto tune ? Thanks
Yeah I started doing this with my desktop 3080 last week and I’ve noticed hashrate is on average better and more stable.
Awesome!
Please help me , I have RTX 3060 TI with Hynix memory , to reach 44mh/s I need to consume 149w and set to 75% efficiency. If I set to 70% efficiency I get 138w but 41mhs . What am I doing wrong ??
I keep in my mind a question: If is needed a x8 or x16 PCIe slot to run over 25MH/s, why on start of miner they go to 45-47 and quickly down to 22-25? I still think is a nerf issue, not a PCIe limitation. What you think about? Is a wild tought?
So I can tell you are talking about the rtx 3060. Yeah of course it’s a nerf issue with that card. Other cards don’t behave like that and don’t need a x8/x16 slot to get full hashrate.
@@SebsFinTechChannel Can you tell me that is your opinion about 1660 vs 3060? Thanks!
@@ovidiucro for Ethereum mining I prefer the 1660 Supers. For other coins the 3060 seems to be better.
@@SebsFinTechChannel Many thanks! I will start to look for the 1660 settings right now!
Very nice Seb "
How to T-Rex miner without needing to use MSI Afterburner? I have 2X 3060 v1 and 1X 1660 Super. What is overclock setting Command line? not work for my 3060 --PL argument Please.
