It isn't that the devil wants to tempt us with forbidden fruit, it's that the devil REALLY believes it shouldn't be forbidden! Don't you see how thats the most important distinction! In giving the devil his due you have to understand he is ALMOST righteous. To a mere human his glory and pride can fool plenty of true souls into following him. Even in belieiving he IS god!
