Xenoblade Chronicles does not have a certain type of soundtrack. Sometimes its orchestra, metal, big band, techno, opera. They usually just combine a bunch of them too.
And despite that, ironically there's something about Xenoblade soundtrack that makes You Say "man this feels very Xenoblade"
@@isvimanzanarez3709 Oh for sure. The way they write the songs is very similar despite spanning different genres.
@@isvimanzanarez3709 the xenooblade feeling is whenever track is a ten out of 10
"What genre is Xenoblade music?"
"Yes."
0:42 "11 PM" from ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW LEAF
3:00 "Final Antasma Battle" from MARIO & LUIGI: DREAM TEAM
5:49 "Tidal Rush" from SPLATOON 2
9:17 "Battle (Skyscraper)" from MIITOPIA
12:56 "The King's Theme" from MIITOPIA
14:06 "Accumula Town" from POKEMON BLACK & WHITE
15:38 "Running Through the New World" from KIRBY & THE FORGOTTEN LAND
20:29 "Northeast Frost Street" from KIRBY & THE FORGOTTEN LAND
25:32 "Dreamy Somnon Labyrinth" from MARIO & LUIGI: DREAM TEAM
28:31 "Dialga's Fight to the Finish!" from POKEMON MYSTERY DUNGEON: EXPLORERS OF SKY
31:46 "Anarchy Rainbow" from SPLATOON 3
33:41 "Brilliant Wings" from XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3
37:41 "Gangplank Galleon" from SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE
40:30 "World Map Medley" from PAPER MARIO: COLOR SPLASH
43:42 "Autumn Mountain Battle" from PAPER MARIO: THE ORIGAMI KING
45:20 "Calimari Inkatation" from SPLATOON
47:19 "Gerudo Valley" from THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME (Honorable Mention)
13:08 whoever picked the King’s theme, I truly love you.
If you would like your mind to be blown listen to "Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit" from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. 6 minutes of music.
YES
also roar of dedede, that song is FIRE
HUGE agree, you *gotta* check out Two Planets.
I feel like Kirby final boss themes are starting to get overrated.
And I mean that only because they overshadow the amazing wealth of stage themes from Kirby games. All anyone ever talks about concerning Kirby soundtracks now is the boss themes, when there's stage themes that are severely underrated.
Where's the people reacting to Float Islands? Sand Canyon 3? Another Dimension? Steel Beat? Hell, where's the videos breaking down Green Greens?
@@TornaitSuperBird true, slippery steps goes hard. (Isn't Another Dimension a boss theme for the lor starcutter? but whatever, it's not a final boss)
There’s an orchestrated version of Kirby’s Northeast Frost Street that’s absolutely hypnotizing! They unfortunately took the Kirby concert off of RUclips but I managed to nab that track before it went down heh
Could you share it to me please, please? :(
I really have no idea why Nintendo did that… it’s really dumb I don’t get it
A very strange first song to listen to from Xenoblade. Brilliant Wings is a very unique track when compared to the rest.
Xenoblade is known for its emotional symphonies and orchestras, its rock and metal, and of course its fusion of those two.
If i were to give an example/recommendation of each of those styles, it'd be the Main Theme from Xenoblade 1 for the emotional symphony, You Will Know Our Names (or Mechanical Rhythm, if you're already familiar with that one) for the rock/metal, and Engage The Enemy for a breathtaking fusion of the two styles.
Thanks! Yeah that’s just the one people suggested which got the most likes!
Even New Battle!!! is more the general tune of the series (now, with Hiramatsu doing his usual magic)
There are concerts in Splatoon, held during Splatfests, a frequent in-game event. There are also concerts held in real life. These are less frequent, but more shocking to learn about.
Surprised nobody requested
"Roar of DeDeDe"
(voiced by kirby director actually!)
And the new added "Sword of the surviving guardian"
Since these were BOTH made by fresh new compossers.
Since this person got its reconization from the shadow kirby fight's music in Kirby Fighters 2.)
But have you seen Return to Dreamland Deluxe's newest music for "the tree crown without a ruler"
Well... its also a special version of "C-R-O-W-N-E-D"
But if you wanted a better version... the react to the Lyric version done Juno featuring both "Another Dimension"
"under my Control" then "Crowned"
...since the music has some impact leading up towards "C-R-O-W-N-E-D"
Thanks for reacting to Calamari Inkantation! There’s one other absolute bop you should listen to from Splatoon known as “Fly Octo Fly ~ Ebb and Flow”. It’s 3 minutes long exactly, and it’s my favourite video game song of… all time really. You should give it a listen!
I love hearing you play music you've never heard and just completely nail the context just by listening to it.
The Dreamy Somnom Woods one is interesting because all the "level" music in that game has two versions. The overworld version and the dreamy version. If you ever do another one, it would be cool to see you listen to the overworld version.
Omg mayro hiiii :3
Splatoon 3 has, in my opinion, the best rendition of calamri inkantation, called "calamari inkantation 3mix" you should maybe try to give it a quick listen, even if not recorded. (side note: Splat 2 also has its rendition which is an upgrade over the first game)
i perfer the spicy version :)
Now or never too
It's truly fun to see someone nerd out over video game and Nintendo music as much as I do. Video game music is the best!
Hi Sammy D, it's been a while, sorry I haven't commented on your videos in... years. :(
I'll try to get back to watching your videos now, though.
I like this idea of you reacting to video game music, particularly Nintendo music. It's going to be difficult to request songs for you to react to since I don't know what games you've played and songs you've heard. Instead, I'm going to list song suggestions, and it'll be up to you whether or not to listen to them. I also don't want to go TOO overboard, so I'll just list one song/track per series/franchise.
"In The Final" - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
"Strickerbrush Symphony" - Donkey Kong Country: Diddy's Kong Quest
"Koopa" or "Final Boss" - Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2
"Hurry Up!" - Wario Land 4
"Level 6 Face Shrine" - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (specifically the remake version)
"Surface of SR388" - Metroid II: Return of Samus (you can use the Metroid: Samus Returns version if you'd like)
"Zero-Two (0²) Battle" - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
"Corneria" - Star Fox (SNES)
"Champion Battle (Lance & Red)" - Pokémon Gold/Silver (you can use the HeartGold/SoulSilver version)
"Illusion" - F-ZERO GP Legend and F-ZERO: Climax
"Pokey Means Business!" - EarthBound
"Icicle Mountain/Ice Climber (Melee)" - Super Smash Bros. Melee
"Power-Hungry Fool" - Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
"Octopus" - Game & Watch Gallery (the first one)
"Boss Battle 1" - Kid Icarus: Uprising
"Wistful Wild" - Pikmin 2
"Engage the Enemy" - Xenoblade Chronicles
"I Am Octavio" - Splatoon
"Ramen Bowl" - ARMS
"Remix 10" - Rhythm Heaven Fever (I suggest you watch someone perfect this in addition to listening to it)
Sorry if that's a lot. Looking forward to more of your content!
Random Xenoblade fan popping into your comments lol
I liked your reaction to everything here I just wanted to say that Xenoblade music varies extremely in styles so it's not all jazz. Definitely recommend stuff like Mechanical Rythm and Xenoblade 2 Counterattack. Would love to see more music reactions.
Brilliant Wings is a remix of Time to Fight (Bionis Shoulder) from the first game, and it sounds even more disco in its original form.
When Xenoblade 3 released and people heard Brilliant Wings, everyone was comparing it to Mario Kart 8 so I guess it’s funny it popped up here.
Though I’d say it’s not really representative of the sheer variety of the Xenoblade ost, as it kinda is a special arrangement of a theme from the rerelease of Xenoblade 1 on Switch, while most of the Xenoblade ost generally has a different vibe, especially Xenoblade 3 focusing on ambient area themes moreso than the others, though it does have the most intense boss theme of the series (The Moebius battle theme sounds like a final boss, but it’s the first boss theme you’ll hear in the game ahah)
I really enjoyed the reactions and discovering themes from games I haven’t played yet (Miitopia and the Mario RPGs) !
If you do more of this you should do Per Aspera Ad Astra from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
I love the idea of doing the rest on a livestream. It’d be really fun.
Great video as usual! Really enjoyed seeing your reaction to Color Splash’s World Map Medley. The entire Color Splash OST is amazing and is definitely worth a listen (not on video of course, but just in general).
I second this, and with fiery passion! Color Splash’s boss themes especially are stellar. Anything from Origami King is great too.
@@matthewjones6786 Yeah completely agree about the boss themes. “Blackout” (the final boss theme), “A Fearsome Foe” (the mini-boss theme), and the Ludwig battle theme are some of my favorites in the OST. The others are all solid as well. The Origami King OST is my favorite Video Game OST ever, so I can definitely second that last part.
Was looking forward to this video, and it did not disappoint! Loved hearing your thoughts on all these amazing songs, especially Northeast Frost Street! Hope to see more of these in the future, super fun to watch!
Xenoblade has a ton of variety, I couldn't recommend enough to check out more. If you want more piano you might love New Battle!!! from XC3 future redeemed
Thanks!
so splatoon 3 has 3 idols and anarchy rainbow has 3 styles to it representing each idol shiver Japanese frye Indian and big man Brazilian
Isn’t shiver traditional Japanese?
@@Avisponnn my apologies yes she is japanese not chinese i either heard wrong or just got it mixed up in my head
@@princessluna8411 it’s fine :)
Brilliant wings as your introduction to xenoblade osts is hilarious
Ha! So I’m hearing….
words cannot express how happy i am that out of the entire BANGER that is the miitopia soundtrack, the one that was chosen was the skyscraper battle theme
had no idea brilliant wings existed which is awesome but they removed the best part of time to fight which is the key change synth intro that clashes with the previous key :( feel like you wouldve enjoyed the song that brilliant wings is a remix of much more
I will say that a large reason that Tidal Rush is so hard to actually define or pin down is because of the innate chaos relating to it's very composition.
Very simply, the song is the amalgamation of two pop singles being sung at the same time while a DJ shoves an entire orchestra into it, all on the spot. It's the culmination of three major artists' skill and improvisation.
Id love if you listen to the Super Paper Mario Villain themes, namely The Ultimate Show, Brobot Battle, O'Chunks Warriors, Im Not Nice, Brobot L-Type, Mr. L Green Thunder, Closing Battle, and Its Showtime
Though if you olny want a few then Brobot Battle, Showtime, and The Ultimate Show.
You should listen to sharkbytes from splatoon 2, or any high tide era songs from splatoon 1.
If you enjoy listening to soundtracks, you'd be in for a wild ride listening to some music from Earthbound.
Especially either "Otherworldly Foe," "Battle Against a Weird Opponent," or "Kraken of the Sea"
Love Earthbound!
Pokey means business
and busipaula/busijeff/busipoo.
the effort u put into “reaction” content is so awesome plz do more
I know I’m kinda late, but the fact that there’s no Mario Galaxy tracks here is absolutely criminal
Great video! Loved Gerudo valley at the end! Can't wait for TOTK Tomorrow! I would love to see another one of these some time! Hopefully some David Wise makes it in!
Listening to music from things you don't know? That's looks fun to do.
If i were to suggest a song, i might choose one of those:
-Fire Island Volcano from Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon
-Kingdom of Uraya from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Both Day and Night are great)
-Tranquil Pipes Teahouse from Paper Mario The Origami King
34:50 it’s funny you say this, because this song is actually a remix of a song from Xenoblade 1 definitive edition which was a full on disco tune. So yes it’s disco influenced, very directly so, it’s basically a jazz remix of a disco song!
If you do a video like this again or just want to listen on your own time, I recommend “Melty Molten Galaxy” from Super Mario Galaxy. It’s one of my favorite songs from the game that I feel like doesn’t get enough attention because of all the other iconic songs in the game.
I absolutely love the MiiTopia OST, it’s one of my Top 5 Video Game OST’s.
3:30 I love Yoko Shimomura! Just a Kingdom Heart vibes!
THAT HEAVENLY MELODY!
lol the makeup theme for miitopia has so many layers to it
you should definitely check it out sometime
I would love to see another soundtrack reaction from multiple games again!
I’m here from the latest Mario kart one, I’d absolutely love more soundtrack reactions from you!
Shoutout to the *Pokkén Tournament* OST (that one Pokémon fighting game). The soundtrack is good, yet doesn’t get much recognition from what I’ve seen. Honorable mentions include:
Ferrum Stadium
Training Gym
Neos City
Neos City (Night)
Magikarp Festival
Blue Dome
Synergy Burst (Final Battle)
If you do another video, I’d personally recommend Blue Dome or Synergy Burst (Final Battle). Blue Dome is my favorite battle stage in the game, and it easily has the most unique music out of all the battle stages in the game. Really catches your attention. As for Synergy Burst (Final Battle), it’s an epic orchestral theme used in the final boss, but LORD does it HIT.
Love it Sammy! Would love to hear Driftveil city or the Pokémon diamond lake theme in a possible sequel 👀👀
I'd love to see another video like this because i have an awesome track in mind for the next one!
I know this video is almost a year old but if you ever do another one of these, I would recommend your contract has expired from a hat in time
Awesome! I'd love to see a stream since a lot of my favourites (and my suggestion) got very little traction. I'll update this with some notes below as I keep watching:
Tidal Rush is a mashup of two of the pop songs, and if I recall correctly it's a boss song where the two sides correlate to the two songs and their singers (thus it takes a more frantic, orchestral and glitchy stance, while the lyrics nearly fight over each other).
So glad you liked Battle (Skyscraper), it's one of my favourite songs (easily favourite battle from the game). Don't really have much to say, but it was definitely a good choice from the game.
Accumula Town is known to outsiders like me as furret walk, an obsession in and of itself: ruclips.net/video/xa1Zn6XrDlM/видео.html
Also nice that even when you knew songs you were able to break them down.
Thanks for the video! I heard a lot of awesome new songs. It will be very hard not to be spoiled myself but I hope you see this after you get substantially far into the game. =]
Just rewatched, it was fun remembering now many cool songs this introduced me to, a good handful of which I still listen to now... =]
I just love battle themes with drums, pianos, choires and organs. Just give me goose bumps
So I think Brilliant Wings is actually a remix of “Time to Fight! (Bionis’ Shoulder)” from the Xenoblade 1 DLC, I prefer that version and I think you would too. I think it’s more balanced, much less “sax-forward”.
I’d love to see more reactions for _anything_ Origami King. Top 10 Nintendo soundtracks in my book.
Very good video! I love getting exposed to music in these games I haven’t played.
Brilliant Wings in Xenoblade 3 is an... odd pick to listen to first. Honestly, nothing much in the games sound like it other than Time to Fight (Bionis Shoulder) which is what it remixes... Honestly, for a better representation of what Xenoblade really sounds like, I would say:
Engage the Enemy - Xenoblade Chronicles
Time to Fight - Xenobkade Chronicles
Battle!! - Xenoblade Chronicles 2
You Will Recall Our Names - Xenoblade Chronicles 2
The Weight of Life - Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Keves Battle - Xenoblade Chronicles 3
You Will Know Our Names - Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Moebius Battle - Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Basically what i'm trying to say is that Brilliant Wings is an outlier in the xenoblade series, nothing else really sounds like it, while I personally like it, I can understand if you arent a huge fan of it considering Mario Kart 8 but not much in the Xenoblade series actually is like it.
KIRBY MUSIC IS SO GOOD
If you do another one of these, and I hope and pray you do cuz your insight to music is wonderful to hear and refreshing, I'd love to hear your critique of Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee's Celadon City, the games are both remakes/reboots of Pokemon Red and Blue, remakes in that they follow the same story as Red/Blue, but reboots as Red/Blue are not the main characters anymore. They're on the switch and have Orchestral soundtracks, and they are so lovely! Celadon City is my favorite as it's such a happy theme, and better is the inclusion of a Marimba (or is it a Marumba?)!
Great watch!
The 11PM soundtrack is one that means a lot to me and it's always nice to hear what other people think of it, I'm glad you liked it!
You really need to check out the world map music from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, from Wondaria Ruins, it's one of the snazziest tunes I have ever heard, and I think you might enjoy it! I'm not certain whether it uses an electric guitar or a synth, but I think you'd love the vibe of it!
Nice rivew!!! 👍 I like when you give examples of other music 💯
Listen to the Final boss of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Vs Zero Lab composed by the legendary Toby Fox. This is such a banger, you gotta hear it
Thanks for including my request Sammy! Another great video dude!
Im surprised boss themes from splatoon, kirby or origami king didnt make it
Loved this so much! You are such an underrated RUclipsr!
"Tidal Rush" from Splatoon 2 is really awesome if you know the context. In the first game there were two characters named Callie and Marie, cousins who form the musical duo Squid Sisters (they did the last song you listened to). Fictional music culture is a whole thing in Splatoon. Anyway, they each released their own in-universe singles. This song from Splatoon 2 is a musical battle between them, with Callie and Marie singing their respective songs on top of each other while another character, DJ Octavio, remixes the whole thing using his turntable. It's also the final boss theme.
you should listen to is Fly Octo Fly from octo expansion
A good mind-blower to react to is “Mind in the PROGRAM” from Kirby: Planet Robobot
46:33 canonically the song that ends racism
Don't know if you're still taking recommendations, but "In the Final" from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is really good
If u do this again you MUST MUST MUST LISTEN TO SKA BLAM FROM SPLATOON 3
if you're interested in more splatoon music, listen to Nasty Majesty and/or some Sashimori songs, I think your reactions to them would be really fun.
not a nintendo game, but i'd be interested to see your reactions to deltarune/undertale soundtracks as well! or bugsnax.
Can I suggest colress battle them from pokemon Black and White.
I may be a bit late to the party, but one song I recommend is the Colgera boss fight theme in Tears of the Kingdom. I think it might be my favorite track from that game
animal crossing and splatoon are made by the devs. and splatoon is post apocalyptic. tdal rush is a song sung by the squid sisters when Callie gets kidnaped and brainwashed by DJ octavio, and has a song battle with her cousin Marie, who starts singing first, they both sing a remixed version of their original singles tideo goes out (marie) and bomb rush blush (callie)
7pm from New Leaf is a better choice imo
Perhaps you'll do something like this again. If so, then, while not by Nintendo, I recommend 'We're the Robots' (Wily Stage 2) from Mega Man 9.
Could you do fly octo fly from splatoon 2?
Maybe korok forest theme
If you do another one of these, I'd have to recommend Moonstruck Blossom from Kirby Triple Deluxe.
WHAT THE HECK!! wheres ANY of the Donkey Kong games?
Hey reacted to Gangplank Galleon, that's something, right?
I’m sure others have already commented about it, but Accumula town is supposed to have a little more going on right? He listened to the stripped back version before the rest of the instruments were added. I haven’t played the game but I’m vaguely familiar with the tune
Really, they should have given him Driftveil City.
Wait so this is a Mario Kart guy but he doesn’t really vibe with the big band jazz bangers? That’s kinda insane lmao. Like other people have said, there really isn’t much else in Xenoblade like the 1 song you listened to here. Usually it’s more sweeping orchestral, metal, rock, piano, lots of synths, sometimes jazzy, ambient and atmospheric, and some ballad vocal themes. There’s a lot of variety, and Brilliant Wings is one of my favourites, but it’s more of an outlier compared to most other Xenoblade music
39:47 hahaha that really caught me off guard
Let the party get started
Sorry I'm late to this. This is awesome though, great music . I never played Smash but Gangplank Galleon I actually heard before for some reason. Gerudo Valley also is awesome, I legit first heard it on one of The Grinds and I had to find out what it was, it was so awesome
As a Pokémon fan I really recommend you play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. Those games have stories deeper than those of the main line. Especially Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. If you are going to try them I'll give you a spoiler and a warning, you are going to cry, A LOT.
You liked Northeast Frost Street, you have great taste
Swear to god 11PM is the best theme in New Leaf.
The Gods have heard my plea to sate my desire of someone listening to video game music.
Haha, thanks for the comment glad you enjoyed.
Looking forward to this! Glad to see Miitopia in the thumbnail.
Will there be a chance to recommend non Nintendo games?
I would like to recommend the soundtrack to an arcade title by Konami: Lethal Enforcers 2
Have you played through origami king and do you know the story?
Yes!!! Loved it.
Kartlife, love that shirt, I have the same one
The 2022 mario kart medly by Isana remix.
I cannot recommend them highly enough, they are unbelievably talented.
We still need to introduce him to the soundtrack of Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle
I have that same Pokémon shirt; no way.
No way! I found it used at a random thrift store.
When’s the next time you’re taking requests?
I vote for a video of only Xenoblade music! Let’s go! 🔥
Yo, I was one of the chosen ones🎉
More please!
Shyguykart a man of culture👍
sammy an Undertale/deltarune ost by toby fox reaction would be awesome. every song in these osts are absolutely amazing
