My guess is that the JYD/Sawyer match was shown on Mid-South wrestling, so since WWE own the full Mid-South/UWF library they can share it on the Network. A good number of matches taped in Houston were then shared with other promotions, with those who sent guys to be on these cards.
I've just started watching these classic matches and I gotta say, it's waaaay better than what they got today. Today's matches have great athletes but there's something missing, there's a rawness to these classic matches & the crowd reaction, like the buildings about to explode lol
Andre was so powerful and strong, he knew he could destroy anyone. He always took it easy...sometimes too easy. Still, great stuff! Love the old school "rasslin"
Two wrestling legends we miss you in this life Andre the Giant I pray your soul rest in peace and in no pain. A true gentle giant and very strong individual. Hacksaw Jim Duggan another favorite wrestler, big heart and down to earth actually all four wrestlers are legends indeed the missing link was a big brotha maaaaaaan lol. I ain't fighten that in no alley thank you
This match is the definition of a real main-event. You put that match on posters all around town and you know that everyone will try to buy a ticket, this match has money written all over it.
I had just turned 15 a week before this match (August 29th) by this point I was HOOKED into pro wrestling for a a couple of years already. The bookstores and the Navy Exchange in San Diego carried like 10 different wrestling mags, or “Dirt Sheets”. I couldn’t get enough. Now This is Andre, not that kiddy WWF version in the black strap.
Exelente siempre será Andre el gigante icono de siempre de la lucha libre y la historia de la lucha libre un clásico de siempre Andre el gigante genial fue y lo será siempre este coloso de la lucha libre.andre forever
Good match. Thanks for uploading. Bronco Lubich was scheduled to officiate this important match but he got hold of a bad burrito for lunch and couldn't answer the bell, so to speak.
damn kamala and the missing link were beasts but Andre was on a whole nother Plateau , He was so HUGE didnt realize how bid duggan was till he stood next to andre,, Ahh the good ole days :)
His decline started in 1981 after he broke his ankle stepping out of bed. He was still mobile in 1983, but he needed some support of the ropes at times to get up or get his balance. After Wrestlemania 2 he was a shell of his former self and had his first back surgery which didn't help. To see Andre at his most agile you need to go back to the 1970's.
Andre was in awesome shape at that time. When we talk about wrestling..Andre was the god of wrestling..he has the right structure that we imagined a wrestler to be.. massive nd strong..luv u Andre and think you for giving us so much to remember ❤❤❤❤❤
Andre was always the heavy duty weapon the faces would get 2 back them up against the heels esp a stable loved 2 c andre in that roll..kamala n link as a team?🤔 HELL YEA!!!!!

Even when I was a kid I knew it was all a work but I still always appreciated when they made it easier to suspend your disbelief. Gimmicks like The Missing Link were so obviously absurd they were never any fun to watch. Kamala was ridiculous but at least primitive tribal societies exist. WTF is the Missing Link supposed to be anyway?
Sam houston coliseum. Houston wrestling was like no other promotion. Their base was mid south here but would bring guys in from everywhere including mexico.
I'm surprised Skandor Akbar wasn't there he usually managed Kamala in the Mid South and World Class Wrestling. And he was always interfering in his men's matches Duggan or Andre would have gotten their hands on him that turban would have went flying off his head.
WWE has uploaded on the Network Buzz Sawyer vs Junkyard Dog from this show !

That's because they thought it was real.
@@scottskorupa107 It is real. Real Entertainment.
RIP Kamala, The Missing Link and Andre The Giant :(
Kamala is no small man.. It just goes to show how huge Andre really was and the fact he was able to pick up Kamala like he weighed next to nothing.
Andre was so powerful and strong, he knew he could destroy anyone. He always took it easy...sometimes too easy. Still, great stuff! Love the old school "rasslin"
I love the Link! He was my favorite back in the day!

Missing Link played by the late great Dewey Robertson from Hamilton Ontario Canada.
I've always been a fan of missing link...i loved when he teamed up with bruiser brody...
both wilds and no-sellers hehe 😎👏👏👏
Kamala trying to tag out from outside of the ring at the 6:00 mark was classic...he was an underrated performer
Andre was so careful with those chair shots. Imagine how much damage he could do.
Fun brawl all around. Thanks for posting this.
Unless the missing link worked out in his home I'm sure when he went to the gym without the paint on people still knew who he was . RIP Him and Andre

even with no commentary this match was an awesome spectacle
All these dudes are huge. Also, those are some loose ropes. Missing Link falling through the middle ropes is a cool spot tho.
Andre's body slam of Kamala here, was better than the slam, that Andre gave him, in the cage match in Toronto.
Great showmanship from all the wrestlers!
A few years later, Duggan would end up feuding with Andre in the cartoonish WWF
Beautiful may their gentle soul rest in peace
Good to see all the old worries of the 70s,80s.post some more old wrestling.
Didn't know that Kamala and Andre the Giant hung out alot outside the ring Kamala made it funny asf 😂
I loved The Missing Link!
WoW God i like the golden age of wrestling
Hacksaw and Kamala had some battles in Mid South.
Both Hacksaws. Duggan and Reed
I remember being terrified of the missing link as a child
I could watch the classics all day. WWE was on TV the other night, so much talking and weird drama. Channel got changed pretty quickly.
Kamala was so good, lol. We forget who the heels were that made the stars look great. If it wasn't for the sell, there would never be a buy.
Exelente siempre será Andre el gigante icono de siempre de la lucha libre y la historia de la lucha libre un clásico de siempre Andre el gigante genial fue y lo será siempre este coloso de la lucha libre.andre forever
Andre hit Kamala with the chair so slow, that it looked like he just touched it.
Nice job by Bill Watts putting that match together. The main event that night was Junkyard Dog versus Butcher Vachon.
Missing link was huge great ass match ol hacksaw jim Kamala the giant classic
André really is special
Good match. Thanks for uploading. Bronco Lubich was scheduled to officiate this important match but he got hold of a bad burrito for lunch and couldn't answer the bell, so to speak.
Look at all that action packed action!!
It don't get no better than this.
I had no idea that Ron Jeremy used to ref.
This is what good wrestling looks like everything doesn’t look so scripted 💯💯💯💯
damn kamala and the missing link were beasts but Andre was on a whole nother Plateau , He was so HUGE didnt realize how bid duggan was till he stood next to andre,, Ahh the good ole days :)
It's a whole other***, not a whole nother. Nother is not a word.
I got to see Andre wrestle Kamala in the early 80’s for the Mid-South territory.
whats your age now...?
Man!! This match kicked ass.
Missing Link looks like he was carved from a brick!
20 year vet, Dewey Robertson.
Ron Jeremy guest Referee lmao.
Those were the matches . Classics
Thank you
The missing link duggen kamala the old mid south wrestling! Man I want to go back. But I can't I know. This was my youths wrestling stars!
When I heard that Biden had chosen Kamala a running for VP this guy is who I thought of.
Ditto
He would have made a great VP..RIP Big Man.
Heavens Forbid. . .
If Nothing Else This Kamala Would Have His BidEn(d). . .
Shazam. Agree.
Andre The Giant's last year of good health was 1983. He just went downhill after that.
and his last year wrestling for different territories
It is a shame I didn't know of Andre in his prime
@@SeanRankin2 wrong

The crowd is going nuts!!
The entire match.
The missing link..actully had some good fighting skills he was awkward and his character was awesome
I had forgotten how ripped Link was. I remember he was crazy, green, and had the hardest head in wrestling.
The Missing Link from “Parts Unknown”.
13:46 .... WOW! What a WICKED chair hit by Andre!
Jim: BAGAWD, THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR!

This is when I really got into wrestling
Makes me think of wrestling at the chase kplr TV St Louis 11 back in the day
Why or how
Dewey almost broke the ring
You call him Dewey? Did he call you Blastpods?
Odd watching Ol Hacksaw Wrassle without his USA chant

Epic Match that 👢 of ANDRE 🤕😂😮💕🤘💪🇺🇲
Andre's huge here
His speed and agility was amazing for a big man.
Here?
@@mr10tomidnight His speed and agility WERE amazing, not was amazing. When there are more than two things, it's WERE (plural), not was (singular).
R.I.P Kamala.
You never crossed Andre in the ring. If you pissed him off ! You were done for.
A great classic but would be much better with the great voice of mr paul ❤️
Who keeps clanking that anvil?

I was to a big fan of the missing link
Bonus: Danny DeVito as referee!
First appearance of the Trashman?
This must have been from a HOUSE SHOW.
Yes
RIP kamala loved that guy
Wheres this at Houston?
Kamala slammed Andre back then
Kamala slammed Andre before Hogan did
Is Ron jeremy the ref?
Little known fact - Kamala’s last name was Harris
Lmao
Not exactly little known. He wrestled as Sugar Bear Harris for years before Kamala in Memphis. Thanks Lawler. Great gimmick
Old story. First time Lawler painted Sugar up he ask him why did you paint a banana on my stomach?!!! As told by Dutch Mantel
Hard to believe Kamala parlayed a wrestling career into the VP slot
Well, this Kamala has more brains than his female counterpart.
People forget Andre and Hacksaw Duggan were friends prior to the WWF crap.
Dark smokey arena wrestling. Is there any type that's better?
I don't know if you guys notice but there a ghost kid running thru around 11 minutes check it out again and you will see it😮😮😮😮😮
Rob guy.i was thinking the same thing.
i think i was at this match!!!!!
anybody know where this was ?
Very good
Watch that ring posts move when all four are in there. Lol
Thirty seconds in and I'm amazed. That ring looks rickety as shit. How'd it manage to stay together?

This had to be in Texas. It looks like Mid South and World Class were trading guys back and forth.

Yes. Paul Boesch can be seen at ringside, and Bruce Pritchard is calling out the time.
I'm surprised Skandor Akbar wasn't there he usually managed Kamala in the Mid South and World Class Wrestling. And he was always interfering in his men's matches Duggan or Andre would have gotten their hands on him that turban would have went flying off his head.
After that began Hulkamania era.
I didn’t know Duggan was around in ‘83
Miss the Veterans wrestlers. Andre the giant. Jake the snake Roberts. Macho man Randy savage. Now the undertaker s retired from the sport.
