Definitely more like Bruce Lee - in my earlier training years it was all about attaining the bodybuilder aesthetically sculpted look. Now days, I’m flowing like water 🙏🏽 oh what a world of knowledge and 1st hand experience will do for you. Thank you for this compilation of work, immense value from start to finish!
Many thanks to Dr Splichal! 26‘30’‘ Facial tension Zones 27'30'' Four Zones and foot to core sequencing 28' Zone 1 foot (short foot) 31'09'' Zone 2 pelvic floor 34'40'' Sequencing Zone 2 with Zone 1 37' Zone 3 shoulders 38'25'' Zone 4 hands 42'50'' Sequencing Zone 3 with Zone 4
Great presentation, you're a great speaker. Since the sequencing should happen automatically without conscious effort do you have ideas on why this gets out of sequence. Could it be the surfaces we are on, the interface of shoes with surface and the interface of foot with shoe? Any ideas on how to handle these daily living challenges?
Searching for more information on fascia and movement that is focused on the integration of both, I came across your Webinar. I've studied internal martial arts for 14 years, which has led me down this path of wanting to know more about fascia, since our movements are all based on how to separate our fascia and move the body. I have a question. Are there supplements or dietary inclusions/exclusions you recommend to improve or maintain the health of the fascia and the properties you have mentioned in this video? Learning that fascia has more nerve endings makes sense. Putting that together with some of Meyers's statements about fascia getting stuck helps me understand why we strive to separate our fascia and how it is we can actually control it with our conscience mind. You spoke of the body builder (tense) and martial artist (nimble) and posed the question should we be completely tense. Based on what I've learned and developed in my own body through practice 100% of the body is engaged (activated) but not tensed up. Chinese zhan zhuang (pole standing) and the qi gong surrounding it taught me most about this body awareness and control. The exercises you discuss at the end and how you explain them sounds close to what we do. Our exercises engage the entire fascia system so we call it "whole body power." Thanks again for this informative Webinar!
DOC I discovered myofascial 'unwinding' spontaneously after something of a 'kundalini awakening'. ...Going through a lot of bodily transformation, ... can you comment on the spiritual dimensions of these myofascial practices? -Have you experienced anything of a kundalini awakening? -Have you ever experimented with myofascial practice whilst under the influence of marijuana or hashish, (which was a major precursor to my own awakening.) ...hope you have a minute to comment! -You're a genius!
David Findley same here... I think as we put our consciousness into our whole bodies it unlocks all of the memories locked in our muscles and tissues (maybe fascia?) There’s a well regarded book on trauma called The Body Keeps the Score that talks about the relationship to yoga asanas and ptsd... might add some insight.
"Core", is a sloppy way to say, "torso", unless you're saying, "corps". Too many people will feel their digestive organs and not the muscles around them.
She is wrong on so many levels. As a fitness trainer and a bodybuilder I can confirm having bigger muscles does not lead to a constricted fascia! I'm very flexible and can do splits! Secondly, no study has confirmed that fascia has 10x sensory receptors than muscles. Stick to your podiatry and leave fascia to the experts in this field like Tom Myers
There is no need for studies. If you’re bodyweight athlete, lifting will fk your mobility and flexibility in so many ways. Ye, you could do splits while doing bodybuilding but try to do things like V-sit to handstand and you will see how muscular legs will wipe off these skills from your possibilities. But for someone who is not interesting in high complexity skills, combining bodybuilding with stretching won’t make you bad at regular daily tasks until you take steroids.

Awsome webinar! Dr. Emily, how do you breath during isometrics?
Helpful information thanks 🙏🏻
I discovered fascial tensioning with Chong Xie yesterday and today I discovered your channel do you know each other ?
Same thing with me
Really enjoyed this webinar. What do you do if you don't know how to engage/move your pelvic floor?
This was great.

Radeonr9280x A I would say strength training and whatever muscle mass comes with it is fine. Muscle mass alone is metabolically expensive.
As a personal trainer I can say that you sound uneducated.
