Oh wow I really like the sound of that. At first I thought it sounded like a strum stick or a dulcimer but when you did the blues on it I was blown away. That thing is gonna be fun if you put some effects too And I’m glad you put the pick up In fact I would have been surprised if you didn’t have h ha
@@musicalmiscellanyExtra so for a shamisen. You’re supposed to play one string at a time with a rather vigorous strike. This causes it to need tuning after every song. Or like every 5 minutes
I love these things, they are very, very Japanese instruments. Now you'll have to learn song traditional songs for it and mix it with noise synths. Great video and cool exchange you had.
It could be. There is no English on the instructions and I don't know how to read Japanese. The fella I got it from said it was a Shamisen kit but it could very well be a Sanshin kit. Thanks for checking out the video.
That’s awesome that you got that kit. I love it when a musical project comes across my plate. Nice work!
Thanks! It was a "zen" find for sure. I like to think of it as a Japanese CBG.

Yeah. It's kinda like a Japanese CBG but I really like it. The aesthetic is fun too. Thanks for checking it out.
COOL! Now the receipt looks very "ZEN" and the instructions would look nice framed!!! 👉🎖👈
That's a great idea. Thanks for checking it out.
That is so cool I would love to make one.
Thanks for checking it out. I wish I had a purchase link for the kit but as stated in the video, it's a one off.
You have to tune it every use
That's true of more or less any string instrument. Especially when the strings are new. Thanks for checking it out.

Oooh. I hadn't thought of that but that's a heck of an idea. Shamisen and noise synth. Hmmm. Thanks for the suggestion... and for watching.
Japanese blues!
Yes indeed. Thanks for checking it out.
looks more like a sanshin to me
