His nen turns into a quirk, wanting to explore this universe without his family coming after him. He changed his name to Kaminari Denki, and his whole personality was switch as a cover-up.

Izuku and Denki as Gon and Killua
I know Gon is dumb (no offence) but he uses his nen to be smart (yes he still keeps his nen) because of ging acts like an idiot of a father after a while he (Gon) run away and continues his journey to find Killua and tries to get an education and be a hero (he was inspired when he had heard about heroes)
Denki as you said plays dumb yk but he actually is still skilled (bc he still trains) and he is still all that and is hiding from his fam and is trying to blend in and live his life and he uses the money he has to provide everything for alluka bc Alluka stays with him.
Ps. They don't know each other identities
I know its long but as a fanfic writer helping out each and giving ideas is important👍❤️

Kaminari short circuits when he overuses his electricity, but Killua never had that problem. So I'm curious about the explanation on that for this AU. I imagine that his nen becoming a quirk naturally gave him a limit since that is natural for quirks. Tell me If I'm wrong tho. I'm really curious
Yea that's a good idea, but if I'm not wrong when Killua uses too much of his nen, he uses electricity to recharge. So I imagined that when his nen turns into a quirk he earns a limit and when he short circuits instead of just becoming brain fry he would recharge with electricity to fill him up again. Idk if that makes sense but yeah that's what I thought haha.

mm...this makes a little more sense because denki’s quirk is ACTUALLY electricity...don’t get me wrong, i love the deku = killua just as much since their personalities (or more like their way of thinking) is more similar to each other, but denki’s quirk fits well with it. idk man, deku = killua and denki = killua are both pretty good
