@Matt Frazier - Pixel is the way to go in that aspect. I have a Pixel 2 and I can say it just gets better and better like there is this thing if you want to follow your teams score without leaving the screen you are on you can just see it in a floating window which you can do with phone calls as well. Interesting review of the Google 3XL phone, was going to buy one but it seems that the phone isn't so perfect after all now that these issues have been brought up, thanks guys
Everybody says that if you disable the notch, you may as well get the Pixel 3. I couldn't disagree more. When you disable the notch which is approximately .3 inches you're still left with about 6 inch screen. That's still noticeably bigger than the 5.5 Pixel. It seems silly to to me to say that when you're also still getting a better battery. I'm sure Pixel 3 XL owners out there can confirm this. I'm actually considering getting either a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. These phone companies have lost their minds with these flat screen tv's posing as phones these days!
I’m waiting for the Pixel 4. Give me at least 6gb of ram with Snapdragon 855 and I’m there. I’m an iPhone user since the 3GS but my friend got the Pixel 3 and I was using it and damn stock Android is amazing. No extra bullshit and the phone is so smooth. Pixel 4 this fall I’m jumping ship so don’t disappoint me Google.
Loss of a headphone jack is not a big deal to me as I always use a Bluetooth headsets and occasionally when I use a wired headphones u could always use the type c headphones or a type c connector to the headphones.. however the notch is hideous and 4 GB ram is too less for the price.
+ audio jack is also used for FM Radio. So, no radio now? Also, that C port being used for everything will wear out and then your screwed. As on my older LG phone, I no longer can charge my battery. Have to take out battery and charge it with a bench top variable power supply. Am looking at Samsung 9 note as yet to hear any reviews on pixle's image stabilization comparisons - which the G9 Note scored best so far. that I can find.
I personally still like the Pixel 3 XL but I'm going to hold onto my 2 XL to see what next year brings, God willing. I'm actually still rocking my Moto 360 2nd gen also (I thought I might be the only one).
Wow glad I'm not alone too haha, a few weeks ago my 2nd gen Moto 360 was updated to that new wear os even though it was mentioned before that it won't receive that update.
@@Amr1Elnaka I never got anything concrete saying that it wouldn't be updated but I assumed it wouldn't. I was thankful that it did get the new Wear OS update, not I just need a new battery.
Is it just me or that the only reason that smartphones nowadays cost a shit load of money because they want turn a phone into a Nikon camera? I must be one of those people who don't give two fucks about the camera and only care about the hardware and software of the phone
You should search for videos on the Pixel 3 XL up against the Mate 20 Pro. Photos from the pixel has a yellowish tinge. And FYI, iPhones enjoy iOS update support for up to 5 years, not google’s measly 3.
I turned off the notch and I dont mind having it this way because I was a Pixel 2 XL user and I just wanted a better quality screen and wireless charging and loud speakers and no, I dont want a non-Pixel phone. I'm always a Nexus/Stock Android kind of a person
The Notch is irrelevant with the App "Natcho Notch". The memory issue is real and annoying. My biggest issue is with the CAMERA, yes the camera. It takes great pictures, that is NOT the problem. The problem is how slow the camera is. It takes pictures extremely slow compared to all other competitors. If you use a mode where it takes a photo faster, the quality is diminished dramatically. Also the fact it has zero manual controls and third party apps do not perform at a high level on the phone. With all that said, I still have and love my Pixel 3 XL. This issue needs to be fixed and they need to be talked about. Yet to see a single video addressing them.
Am I the only person who thinks the Pixel 3 ring volume is awful on the phone? I can barely here the phone ring and it is almost impossible to locate the phone when calling it. Is there an update that corrects this problem?
Wait wait wait. Pixel 3... No bloatware? I suppose everyone defines it differently, but I own a 3a and had to uninstall a few dozen unwanted apps when I bought this phone. Just because they're made by Google doesn't mean they're not bloatware. And not to mention all of the features that are turned on out of the box that hog battery, are creepy, or both. If you don't care about privacy or lean software then you'll probably be satisfied, but I've had a hell of a time trying to turn it all off. Then there are tons of other miscellaneous annoyances. Why does Wi-Fi scanning turn on every time you enable location services from a prompt? Why does the phone app require Google Play Services to have access to SMS, Calendar, Body Sensors, etc.? It'll work fine if you revoke those permissions, but it will still spam "Oh no, I'm broken" notifications that you can't disable. Why does every settings menu show like four options and hide the rest in one or more expandable menus? That adds so many extra taps when going through the settings and makes some normal settings hard to find. Why can't I even *disable* Gboard, Pixel Launcher, etc. when I have alternatives installed? Why can't I disable Android System Webview when I have no interest in in-app web browsing and always want web links to open in Firefox? Why is flicking right from the pill at the bottom of the screen so inconsistent? It should always take you to the last app you had open, but like every third time it opens another app entirely. And, for that matter, why is the motion to flick right when the prevous app is to the left in the recent apps view? That's inconsistent design. Gesture navigation on Pie is horrible, but I fundamentally don't like that shift. A swipe is a more difficult and more tiring action than a tap (especially over long periods of use), swipes register worse than a tap if you have sweaty hands or if there's water on the display, and most screens are at least 2:1 now so there's more space than ever for on-screen buttons. Hell, in Pie, you have on screen buttons but you still need to gesture! What's the point if you're not even saving screen space? I could go on and on with these. Despite how much the tech press talks it up, Android Pie on the Pixel is bloated garbage compared to how Android used to be on the Nexus line. Using stock Android in 2019 should not make me want to jump ship for LineageOS and get me nostalgic for KitKat...
Ok, question. Last year I went from the Galaxy note 5, to the iPhone x. This was my first jump from Android to ios in a while. And it was nice while it lasted. Would you guys consider it a good hardware upgrade going from the x to the pixel 3? (Not XL )
not sure, 4 GB of RAM will probably not be enough in the near future and iPhone's a11 seems like a better option than pixel's snapdragon 845. I'm actually thinking right now if I should get an X or Pixel, pixel's camera is really impressive but I'm quite disappointed by the fact that 60 fps video recording is not supported even in Full HD
@@elvmuja2542 that's the common tip that applies to every device. It makes the phone last a bit longer but won't change the fact that its battery life is horrible by today flagship standard.

Come on guys! I think you are all exaggerating a bit with the vibration from the back of the phone. I mean, you feel it, right. But it's like complaining because you feel vibrations every time you ride your car. You just get lost in what you are looking on the screen. It's nothing distracting. About the notch, that doesn't bother me at all. You get used to it, believe me. I am now 2 weeks with my Pixel 3XL and my only complain is the mic. sound quality. It is unacceptable.
Definitely. I bought the iPhone Xs Max as soon as it was available and sure, it is a great phone. I love how smooth, fast and "sweet" the iOS interfaces is. Nothing like face ID and the fluidity of those gesture. But even though that, iPhone is not there yet with the OS. The level of personalisation you get on native Android is above iPhone. Don't get me wrong, iPhone xs max is an amazing phone, but it is not for me. I accepted the penalties (not that good gestures, a little bit slower, etc) for a better software. Oh and, that Pixel camera is in a whole new level...
I am very disappointed with the google pixel 3 phone AND google services. Google dropped the ball multiple times in their customer service and did not compensate for their mistakes in any way besides “I sincerely apologize.” I decided to not get a warranty from Best Buy where I bought the phone because google offered a 1 yr manufacturing warranty. This was a big mistake. I bought the google pixel 3 because of the camera. The camera broke, which apparently is a problem for this phone (according to what I found online). First step to try and fix the phone is reformatting. I needed a google assistant to walk me through the steps to back up my material and reformat the phone. I asked the assistant 3 times if my photo and recordings were backed up (I confirmed this by looking at the transcripts of our conversation). She checked and confirmed that all was backed up. However, all of my recordings were lost. This set me back quite a bit with my work. Google ‘sincerely apologized’ (there wasn’t much else they could do with this one. And this same response was given when I felt there were other alternatives to fix their mistakes). The camera wasn’t fixed so I had to send my phone in and they would send a new one back to me. This means going without a phone for 2-3 weeks weeks. Within a month of receiving the “new” phone, the battery dies completely by noon (4-5 working hours). I question if I had received a new phone or a refurbished phone? The phone that I sent in because of a broken camera battery lasted much longer and it was several months old. Also the finger print sensor was significantly less sensitive than the first pixel 3 phone I had (another reason why I think they may have sent me a refurbished phone). I now had to send the phone in again, go another 2-3 weeks without a phone. I was very disappointed with this product as it was said to be one of the better phones on the market and it wasn’t cheap. I requested a refund instead of another draw out exchange for a ‘new’ phone. I was told I would hear back from someone within 5 days. It took them 3 weeks to get back to me. And all I received was an email saying please call us. I called 6 more times until we finally arrived to unfavorable and disappointing answer. Each representative that I talked to said they would look into the issue and get back to me. Some promised to call me back within the hour, others the next day, some said in 1-3 days. No one ever got back to me so I had to continue to call and share my process all over again. On the 4th and 5th call, I asked to stay on the line while they looked into it since the previous representatives didn’t get back to me. Each time they assured me they would personally take are of it and promised to get back to me. I am a trusting person and so went along. The google assistants were very nice; however, they all lacked follow through. This process went on for another 2 weeks and hours and hours on the phone with google. Each time I had told them that I am leaving the country right after christmas and thus am running out of time to send the phone in to get a ‘new’ one. They finally gave me an answer saying that their policy does not allow exchanges and cannot help me in getting a phone faster than within their 2-3 weeks exchange rate. It took me 6 weeks to get to this answer and I am now out of time because of leaving the country to get a replacement. All of this is clearly documented and recorded and they were not willing to compensate for their multiple mistakes in any way. They would just say. “I sincerely apologize.” Google does not allow you to leave a review on their site where you can purchase the phone directly. I also do not think this is a good sign. I do not recommend this phone or anything that will require you to rely upon google services.
It have a top of line snapdragon but it's nearly 2019 and not to mention then 845 on a pixel is downclocked at like 2.5 ghz and it still thermal throttles
Nobody in their right minds would use one without a case so it will never get scratched up. The people that want to use it bare are the people I see crying they cracked the screen and won't fix the screen so walk around with a spider web screen because they can't afford to fix it. Don't be that guy, just buy a good case like Otter-box or Unicorn Beatle (only case wit built in screen protector. This renders any worry of scratching moot.
I have like no idea what like any of the special terms you used even in the comments cause I'm just used to a flip phone and I'm getting a pixel 3 in like 5 days. And yes, flip phones still exist.
I am confused with the Google Pixel 3 Google Pixel 3 xl Google Pixel 3a Google Pixel 3a xl Which one is better i am confused probably because of the names or something I’m not even sure what I’m confused with
One of the main drawback of the pixel device it doesn't support VOLTE with most of the carrier in the world... So when we are on the call we can't use internet data it goes on (3g or H)..no LTE while calling
i might be the odd one out but I don't like that the Pixel camera makes pictures taken at night look like it was taken in the daytime. That ruins the whole point of taking a picture at night. Certain elements of a moment are lost when a person can't tell if a photo is taken at night.
seriously nit-picking. I will agree with you on the vibrating back during calls or audio playback. That does make it feel cheap. The rest of your "issues" are for someone who is a high end user like yourself. Joe or Jane regular customer will never pick up on it.
Wow, im seeing this in 2020 when everybody considers the pixel 3 to be one of the best budget phones and its almost silly to me that the pixel 3 was ever 900 dollars.

@Matt Frazier - Pixel is the way to go in that aspect. I have a Pixel 2 and I can say it just gets better and better like there is this thing if you want to follow your teams score without leaving the screen you are on you can just see it in a floating window which you can do with phone calls as well. Screening calls, updated camera functions is all the while the reasons Pixel wins. Instead of upgrading I just got a Pixel Slate which is great for what I use it for.
I have been using 3xl, I used 2xl. I can definitely say that I am so impressed by Google. And no I am not a Fanboy. But I can feel the quality that Google offers. Software is so smooth and secure. 3xl screen is solid and just as I want it to be, unlike Samsung phones being unrealistically vivid. Even if there are bugs and things that need fixing, I always see that Google ends up fixing them and follows up. Great customer service is also a plus. I am happy and apparently will stick to Google phones.
Hi, I'm considering getting one of these on Amazon for $249 new, should i?
What's great now is that the Pixel 3 and 3XL can be copped from a service like decluttr for $130-$200

This guy is very good. I had a Samsung S7 which I liked a lot but now with this Pixel 3 it feels like a very fast race car in comparison. the camera is incredible. and the pictures I took with the Samsung show up so much better in the display. The Samsung was a little easier to use though.
Still keeping my Pixel 3 XL. Decided to skip picking up the Galaxy S10. I'll wait on the Pixel 4 XL instead. 😁 Good job Google 👌

Clear and concise. Well done
What is that home screen widget?
Loss of a headphone jack is not a big deal to me as I always use a Bluetooth headsets and occasionally when I use a wired headphones u could always use the type c headphones or a type c connector to the headphones.. however the notch is hideous and 4 GB ram is too less for the price.
i thought the same thing until my pixel three started having blue tooth issues. love the phone but I'm so frustrated i cant use my wireless head set.

You should search for videos on the Pixel 3 XL up against the Mate 20 Pro. Photos from the pixel has a yellowish tinge. And FYI, iPhones enjoy iOS update support for up to 5 years, not google’s measly 3.

Does anyone think they can fix the brightness issue with a software upgrade because that's my only complaint with the phones please let me know?
You can fix the back scratch problem with microfiber cloth
What icon pack you using in this vid?
I'd convinced myself i was getting a P3, can't believe how shoddy this phone is
probably operator error
Wallpaper on thumbnail?
What is the calendar widget? The one with the pills.

Price is way down now, so that's one fewer issues against.

It is unacceptable.
was it a worth buy? just wondering
@@JTuesday well the Xs max is almost dubble the price
Honest review ever-straight and unbiased
I am very disappointed with the google pixel 3 phone AND google services. Google dropped the ball multiple times in their customer service and did not compensate for their mistakes in any way besides “I sincerely apologize.”
I decided to not get a warranty from Best Buy where I bought the phone because google offered a 1 yr manufacturing warranty.
“I sincerely apologize.”
Google does not allow you to leave a review on their site where you can purchase the phone directly. I also do not think this is a good sign.
I do not recommend this phone or anything that will require you to rely upon google services.
Hey! Try the new Android Q beta on your Pixel, it fixes the gestures navigation and some other issues. Make a video on it!
Great video bud 👍🏼

would you think the pixel 3 is more worth it if it was $750 CAD or $550 USD. That is the current price with a sale on google store.
Well it doesn't have close option in the recent apps.
Which one would you recommend!?
Pixel 3 or OnePlus 6T?
It have a top of line snapdragon but it's nearly 2019 and not to mention then 845 on a pixel is downclocked at like 2.5 ghz and it still thermal throttles
When you click into a video about pixel 3 XL, there's definitely some people complain about the notch and chin, or the ram issue
Wallpaper please.?
It's not as fast as the one plus 6t, are you joking? Isn't OP6T like significantly cheaper?
I am confused with the
Google Pixel 3
Google Pixel 3 xl
Google Pixel 3a
Google Pixel 3a xl
Which one is better i am confused probably because of the names or something I’m not even sure what I’m confused with
One of the main drawback of the pixel device it doesn't support VOLTE with most of the carrier in the world... So when we are on the call we can't use internet data it goes on (3g or H)..no LTE while calling
VoLTE is possible if you use the diagnose mode to activate the right configuration. See xda-developers for all the details.
i might be the odd one out but I don't like that the Pixel camera makes pictures taken at night look like it was taken in the daytime. That ruins the whole point of taking a picture at night. Certain elements of a moment are lost when a person can't tell if a photo is taken at night.
Simply use another camera app for the realistic night photo, if you want to take one! ;-)
seriously nit-picking.

Google should look at Samsung's take on navigation gestures via good lock's one hand operation plus. It has a bit of a learning curve but feels smooth af once you get used to it.
