It's adaptive, so realistically you'll be using 60hz most of the time saving battery and 90hz when it's ideal and you can notice a difference between 60hz and 90hz. But still a bigger battery would have been bigger unless the hardware is now also using less juice than the pixel 3 hardware.

The last Google phone I bought was the then premium Nexus 5 for $330 when it came out (Still works fine today) so when Google keeps bringing out phones with less features which are more than double the cost, one has to question if they are making the right choice, especially when competitors offer a whole lot more often for much less.

Jon, the appropriate procedure of comparison should be between the best and latest models of *different* companies. You constantly compare phones with their previous generation. Don't get me wrong, it's important to do that, but I would want to know which of the leading flagship competitors should I root for. I'll probably never afford to buy them, but I love seeing how far handheld devices can go. With these amazing video quality and B-rolling I would love to see you slightly update your methods of comparison, that's all, everything else, and I mean everything, is far better than any other RUclips channel. Even the Verge doesn't match up, and I'm certain they have a bigger budget than you.

My Pixel 2XL went from reaching like 20% by the end of the day to now, almost dead after my longest day as a Student once I come home. I am constantly having to carry my charger with me, which doesn't bother me enough to switch to a different phone because it charges really fast and I have access to an outlet at work. It blows my mind that they upgraded the hardware and have all of these new features without upgrading the battery. For this reason, I am happily staying with my pixel 3.

I use Galaxy buds and have a smart watch, so I keep my Bluetooth on always. I also use wifi instead of data when I don't need to use data. Having Super Res Zoom + Telephoto is like ordering Ham Pizza with Ham.
Whut, Google? Even the iPhone 11 - at $100 cheaper - has an ultrawide + 4K60 video on 3 cameras and superior battery.

And superior processor. Pixel is an end of year release without the latest Qualcomm

As most people upgrade after 2 years not year on year I would like to see more comparisons to Pixel 2 or Samsung S9 so I know if it's worth upgrading or holding on.

I dig the telephoto. But i also would love.a wide angle. Then again i wouldnt trash google for opting for this. Also 90 hz is great and id take a chin for a notch

It's good to have the zoom len, but it's a huge mistake to not include the wide len.

I love the video. I currently have the Pixel 3 and all of the reviews haven't given me a clear reason to upgrade. I think I would like the 90hz display, but otherwise nothing wows me on the Pixel 4. Great analysis though!

My favorite things apart from the camera (which is amazing) on the Pixel 3 was the fingerprint scanner on the back and the front firing speakers.
Now they're gone on the Pixel 4. :(

You completely forgot to mention the processor is a Snapdragon 855, the first 7nm process snapdragon, which is supposed to be 45% more energy efficient. Kind of a big deal if you are talking about the battery size.

abhishek sharma I’m not saying there is a problem. I’m asking because my Pixel 3 xl has 80% battery life after one year. That seams excessive to me and I’m wondering if the battery tech is improved.

Slowmotion that is so weird. I’m using my ipxr almost a year but still has 94%
