I’m sooo glad you’re back. I got to see this on Concert on the pay-per-view. I had it from December 22 until January 7. And I cannot tell you how many times I watched it. Even though I’ve been a Pentaholic since the beginning I have never been able to see them live. Due to health issues I cannot be in large crowds. I even live 45 miles from the Hollywood bowl. They had a concert there September 2022. I was so bummed. You’re right that they’re all about your age. Kevin is 35, Scott is 32, Kirsty is 31, Mitch is 31 & Matt took over being the baby of the group at 29. Avi is 34. I like to call them since Matt joined. Pentatonix 2.0. You’re right there is no comparison between Matt and Avi. They are two completely different types of basses. Matt is such an amazing person. The smile that you see on his face is beautifully genuine. He is always smiling. He’s a very positive person. He is a perfect fit. I admire the fact that when he performs a song that was originally done by Avi, he makes it his own. There is a performance by Kevin and Matt that is mind blowing. They call it…Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy…reimagined. Kevin on Cello & Matt on Drums. You really must check it out. Also, even if you can’t post it. I am so glad that you got to see Oh Holy Night. it is breathtaking. It shows just what Matt is capable of. You are truly an amazing person and once again, I am so glad that you are back. 🤗💋🥰

Before you decide on their best Halleluiah, check out the live version from their 2022 Hollywood Bowl concert. That year they were doing some special audience interaction on it, and they had a small choir singing on some of the songs, including this. --ruclips.net/video/FqphhPapkoc/видео.html

I saw them in this tour!! It was so INCREDIBLE !!!! I cried, I yelled "I love you more!" I screamed so much my voice was gone for about 3 days! You can tell how their voices have "grown up" and developed over the years. They were teens and now 30s! The voices are so blended and individually more mature. It's absolutely beautiful!

You are exactly right. You cannot compare Matt and Avi. They are both amazing. They both have very different voices. Both brought something special to the group. But I stand by the statement that Matt is the best bass they could have chosen when Avi left. He adds his own beautiful elements to the group. And in many ways, he is every bit as good as if not better than Avi was. I love what Matt adds to their sound and their dynamic. I hope with all my heart he gets his first Grammy this time around. They should have won last year, but I'll forgive that mistake if they win it this time.

Glad to see you! Great reaction. ❤ Long ago Scott said ( once or more ?) he would change up the last line’s ending of his first verse musically when live in concert so it would be known for sure not lip syncing to the song. I have heard slight variations over the years live. Since Matt joined years ago obviously their live will not be like the recording. They have had audience interactions and various minor and some fun ending variations. They still sing this song regularly because they have people seeing them live for the first time every concert. I personally love the variations. For me I look forward to each live version because of the extreme talent and consistencies and for some fun variations.

Yeah man, I was hoping to hear this when I went to see them perform last month, this was their last encore after singing "Kiss From A Rose." It was an awesome show. Anyhoo, it's great to see you back Matt.

Scott was born in 1991 and is 32, Mitch and Kirstie in 1992 and are 31. Kevin's about 4 years older and Matt 3 years younger.

I don’t always like it when Scott goes off the rails like this. It’s almost like he forgets the arrangement and is ad-libbing at times.

I love Scott but he does do too much sometimes. Especially when they do this song. They did this on Home for the Holidays on CBS recently and they changed the ending a bit but I really liked that one.
