Hamas wanted to change the hostage exchange from 33 during the first phase to 3 a week including the remains of deceased hostages. It's quite likely most of the hostages are dead and Hamas is just stalling for time. Plus shelling a humanitarian aid corridor doesn't exactly scream an incentive for a ceasefire.
How are hostages supposed to be kept alive with constant bombing raids and no food? Usually, you don't go scorched earth if you want to get hostages back alive. Doesn't scream that they want them back huh?
That should make you think, but it probably won't.

I'm not antisemitic even though I can criticize Israel. But I also support Israel because they are the only people trying to eliminate Hamas. It took Egypt a very long time to eliminate the Moslem Brotherhood which was founded in Egypt, and Hamas is a newer extension of it.

I have known about Cenk since he founded The Young Turks. He has been appearing on RUclips channels since October 7. I never see him remain calm. He's too hot headed. He has learned nothing about how to conduct himself in an interview and this negatively affects the what he says. Cenk, you're way over due to learn how to conduct yourself in public. I realize the destruction of Gazan infrastructure and the deaths of so many people (note: counted by Hamas/UNWRA which I question) is very hard to watch. However Hamas is to blame for this. If the majority of Arab countries (Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Saudi, Kuwait, etc. )were genuinely so against how Israel has been retaliating, they would have started to points their war machines towards Israel. Instead they prefer Israel do the job for them. None of these countries want to deal with the Palestinians as they are a problem for other countries.

@sbaumgartner9848 I agree Cenk can be too hot headed. To be fair, we’ve all had parents who can be too hot headed at times. That’s life. I just try to set the better example and calm people down that way rather than criticizing one’s demeanor.
I think it is clear that this is not a genocide as Israel has an intent of clearing out Hamas. Unfortunately, it appears their intentions have a stranglehold on perception of the reality of the aftermath they have created with children being slaughtered and famine in Northern Gaza and a growing threat of famine in Southern Gaza, along with churches in Gaza being wiped out (so it is not just one aspect of Palestinians in danger-in this case, Muslims).
Also, the fact that Egypt and Jordan, for example, have not turned arms against Israel shows far more proof of conviction than being violent. Jordan has provided tons of food to people in Palestine, but they have not taken Palestinians in because they don’t want Palestinians to lose any potential of having their own country. They are worried if they take in refugees that it will lead to ethnic cleansing. The government of Israel isn’t making it clear as to whether they want Palestinians to come back or not.
Now, could Jordan take in refugees and then do their best to maintain Gaza’s borders so that Palestinians re-settle? Yes. Though I would suspect Jordan doesn’t want a solution that could possibly incur IDF soldier deaths in self-defense of Gaza’s borders. That’s why they are sending food and not warfare. There has already been too much violence.
