People, I'm sure u r enough open-minded and not-blind not to deny facts when u r presented with them. First, it was her ex boyfriend who had a criminal history. She left him exactly becux of his criminal history. Secondly, the cops didn't announce themselves. It was one of those no-knock warrants. So, the boyfriend took the cops for intruders and try to protect his girl, using his licensed gun. Any body would have done the same if they believed intruders were entering their home. So, please don't blame the victims i.e., breonna and her family at least, if u r not going to sympathize with them. Thank You.
My heart goes out to the mother, but I'm not sure how much you can blame the police. Her boyfriend shot a policeman in the leg after they had announced their presence at the entrance to the house and the police fired back and hit Breonna by accident.
They did not announce themselves. When you shoot police you spend the rest of your life in prison her boyfriend is a free man and got 2 million dollar settlement for the few weeks he spent in jail and the cops were arrested for lying to the judge to illegally obtain the warrant

Okay things we know 1) neither breanna or her boyfriend at the time were criminals, her ex who had already been taken into custody is often brought up when her current boyfriend was innocent. 2) they were investigating the house as they believed an ex may have stored drugs there (which turned out not to be true.) 3) the police who got the search warrant have since been charged with submitting a false affidavit to justify the search as well as working together to cover up what they'd done to escape responsibility. I don't know why we keep arguing this when the guys who got the warrant have been charged for making it up!

I lost a family member to sickness. I can't imagine what this mother is going through knowing her daughter was murdered. GOD BLESS YOU.
