I start about 5 months ago making videos, finding the time (time management) for me Id a big issue but I get it done with a video a week. I’m slowly getting over the nervousness of talking to a camera but it’s getting easier. Thank you for all the tip and advice you put out. It got me through a lot.
@@WingoTribe704 Power director has a free version that is very easy to learn and work with. Camera, I got a $20 vivatar action cam , a $10 flea market action cam , an android phone without service and an old go pro hero session that was donated by a friend. Each device serves it's purpose for me.
I’ve been a huge fan for a long time man one of the things I like the most about your channel is that your really good and also you have a comedy aspect that is just catchy and it works man your killing it
I just started on youtube. Most important is consistency and commitment. Thank you brother for the spirit you gave to us! I'm going to subscribe. All the best.
Well done Brendan, I am 6 months into my channel and I am having fun. Understanding your reason for why and what's going to sustain your interest is really key. For me, I fish for my mental health. But I just wasn't fishing enough... So I started my channel so that I would have a reason (to get more content) to go fishing. I am growing at a reasonable rate but it's not for the money etc that I do it (it would take me quite some time to even recover what I have already invested). But I want to build a community and I love it when people come up to me on the pier and say hi... Keep up the great work!
You inspired me. I watched this same video on my birthday, March 27, and just decided to go for it. I've filmed many videos and took many down. I've also started a instagram page. You really lit a spark in me. I'm having fun filming. Thanks!
Great tips. I've been fishing for 40+ years, and have had many incredible experiences. Most of these occurred way before videos, You Tube, or even computers or smart phones were invented. I encourage everyone to record your fishing experiences and take as many pics as you can. I've written about my experiences, but nothing compares to pictures or videos to back up your claims!
Well said Brendan. That's exactly what I tell people is to never give up. I was stuck at 50 subscribers fora few months, and after dedicating my time and effort into it. I noticed my channel started to grow, and once you know it, I went from 50 subscribers in a few months, to 710 in one year!
Thanks for the tips. I’m a year in with my channel and find it a bit of a struggle only got 300 subs but I’m sticking at it as I enjoy filming my days out. Thanks for the encouragement
This is awesome I’ve been feeling discouraged lately being it’s winter here but you’ve motivated me to go back out there this spring and make more videos!
Great video. I'm thinking about getting into the fishing youtube life. You made alot of great points. I've watched many of your other videos and you always put out good stuff. Keep it up and tight lines.
Those were great and very true tips , you can't give up on RUclips and it's very difficult to grow on this platform. You got to do it because you love doing
Brendan I’ve been on RUclips for 2 years and have made over 110 videos and only have 680 subs. Sounds like you were the same way when u started your channel, I’ll just keep grinding. Thanks for the video!
Great advice Brendan. RUclips fishing is definitely a lot of fun but it is actually work for those who don’t think it is. However, if you’re going to work hard at something, why not work hard at something you love to do. Great vid.
Good tips. Ive been making vids for about a year, and just now crossed the 500 sub mark. Things started moving much faster when I started introducing more unique content. And of course, making better videos.....
My kids and I have been trying to make some videos. Our challenge is when we get out fishing we forget to make video. They have made a couple “unboxing” videos, it’s good fun and I think it’s good for them to express themselves.
Man your vids are super cool. And no lie man, thinking outside the box is where all my views come from no lie haha! But dude, what you said about being vulnerable is so true. I have friends who always mess with me about my vids and how i suck and stuff but they have never had the guts to make one themselves. Straight up, if i didnt hold onto that confidence, I would be done for. haha. But forreal man, its cool you keep your vids clean and pure. It takes a lot to stay creative and funny and stay pure. Keep up the awesome work! God Bless!
Very good info sir! You are one of the first channels I subscribed to. I enjoy most of your videos. One tip I would share is when you are small respond to positive comments. I have been at this for almost a year on RUclips. I enjoy it! I only have 33 subscribers, so far. I will not give up on this. I never thought fishing and filming would be this fun! Another tip is learn how to edit! I only use my phone and iMovie so I’m still learning.
Totally agree with the “starting” of a RUclips channel. I’ve been wanting to start one for years now. I’d love to see some comments on my first two videos to see some great Georgia large mouth fishing
I've been mainly doing lure shorts releases and just started I'm going on 3 years of fresh water fishing I'm from Hawaii and grew up salt water shore fishing moved to NC 6 years ago I feel like a baby entering this realm
Brendan, hey man thanks for the tips I literally just started my fishing RUclips channel myself. I like the way you think man. Great job by the way too
Can you do one for those of us who are past the starting phase. Things like keeping the channel going, getting into some more advanced videoing & editing type stuff like multiple cameras and maybe drone usage. I had another channel that I stopped as I wanted to focus this new channel on fishing and that one was hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, bush crafting etc etc etc. Funny thing is tho that that other channel continues to grow lol. Either way I'm focusing on this fishing channel as its less likely to get flagged by RUclips. Thanks
Hey Brendan, I had an idea for a fishing challenge. You should do a 24 hour "survival" challenge, all you get is a rod, reel, line, bare hook, a tent, and something to cook with. You've gotta find bait, catch fish, cook and eat them, and film the whole experience. I think it hasn't been done much on RUclips if at all, and it would be definitely interesting to watch.
It's inspire video bro 💯. You give me motivation bro thanks for the tips small fishing you tubers here from Philippines . I'm not quit for my Chanel go Bigg like yours... God bless 🙏
So I would like to get a chest mount for a smart phone but the the ones I have been looking at say there not that that great and not sturdy so do you have any recommendations on what chest mount for an iPhone would be good
Hi Brendan, there are very good advices there. Thanks for pump it up us. My channel here in Brazil got 200 subs and its been 2 years of working...but its so much fun. See ya here to catch some wolf fishes and peackocs bass. Att Pesca Esportiva Amapá.
I have a chest mount and a vivatar action camera and a 32 gig sd card from dollar general. It works great and does what you need it to do. I still need to learn how to edit and make thumbnails. I need a good program for editing preferably free.
Always film horizontally and i would get a tripod and if you are filming with a phone there is adapters for phones to tripod. And you should invest in a action camera. They sell offbrand action cameras that are decent for about 70 dollars.

I’m trying to find out what cameras are good and which editing software would be a good for a beginner

I always had the idea to do a channel but chickened out several times until this year. You are correct, just start filming and work it out as you go!
