I just got a spare 4600 chassis off Ebay that had a spare video interface board, and it seems there were two different versions of that daughterboard. One had the black level towards the front of the board under the sync, and the other had the black level pot on the back of the card on solder side, fun fact! Wells gardner had already thoght of that for us. Ive been so excited for this vid Charlie, thx for sharing!
Nice! From what I’ve seen, there were two major versions of the interface board like you said, and also some minor revisions of each one. I think they’re mostly interchangeable though (might need some minor mods however)?
@@overtimearcade it's in the middle of the card. There's a hole drilled to let you access it with a really long screwdriver. You probably didn't even notice it.
@tigheklory I noticed it just fine, thank you very much! 😅 I was able to adjust it with a regular TV adjustment tool. I have one of the super long fiberglass ones, but that was too big to fit - the flyback was in the way.
It’s entirely possible - there are a few circuits on the main chassis PCB that aren’t populated on the 4600. That’s definitely the case with the Matsushita though.
@@overtimearcade I had a spare tube from an old 19" tv I picked up at a thrift store ( actually had 5, got em as a package cheap) changed it out , original yoke worked fine , nice pic after I was done , sold in a tapper cab years ago, probably still running fine
How the hell is this the first time you're worked on a 4600?!¿¡‽ K4600 monitors are so good they have a great picture when all calibrated. Do the curl mod and you need the Bob Roberts special tool to adjust the one cards
I’ve worked on tons of G07s, 4900s, K7000s, Nintendo monitors, etc. But this Frogger was the first cabinet I picked up that had a 4600, and the first I’ve gotten around to working on. I didn’t realize there was a curl mod for the 4600 - just the G07??
Honestly? I love the removable card design. The only thing I didn't like about it was the stress on the solder joints on the main board, and the funky access to the oscilation pot. But honestly wasn't even that much of an inconvenience. Idk, it was my first ever crt repair.
@@overtimearcade right? I had absolutely zero clue what I was doing going into it, it was a gifted cabinet from my future brother in law. But I'm happy to say I finally have a nice square beautiful image on mine! Just need to replace my B+ pot, adjust it, and I'm set!
If you aren't going to use proper English and just keep referring to it as "46 hundrit", then why not call it a Benjamin, the good old 46 Benjamin monitor. Or just go full south and say 46 hunnit.

@@overtimearcade I sure hope they're interchangeable, I'd love for this to be a fully functional spare parts bunch!
I think they might be interchangeable, but I’d confirm first on KLOV before trying it!
Great job I like 4600 monitors. I think they look really good.
Thanks - yeah, every 4600 I’ve seen looks great!
@@overtimearcade is it me or is the black seem blacker than normal?
@troylukans2174 Yes, the 4600 is known for having great contrast & black levels!
Fun fact, there were official Froggers without wood grain they were off white laminate with the same artwork. I think they were extremely rare though.
Carnival was like that too, although I think the white was more common than woodgrain in that case.
Used to have a frogger probably a decade ago now but for some reason sold it😅 haven’t had another chance to get one since
Quick, go check Facebook Marketplace for another one RIGHT NOW!
Did you make the mini isolation transformer/power supply?
I sure did! And I show you how to make one of your own right here: ruclips.net/video/JUfs6D7YGKE/видео.html
You use the tool Bob Roberts for adjusting that VR. There's a hole in the frame.
For the B+ or the horizontal oscillator??

I don't think I had any trouble accessing that one...?

My guess is that WG4600 was based off a (consumer) TV chassis. That's why it has that funky design

worked out better than the 4675 I first did, I ended up necking it , nice work Charlie

Looks like it needs S Correction or is it camera angle 🤣
What is “S correction?” I did a bunch of fine tuning after I stopped filming.
4600's are the worst monitor to work on imo. Those daughter cards is a horrible design.
