this movie came out of nowhere... i seen no trailers or heard anyone talk about it, not even mentioned. and omfg was this a great movie, one of the best movie surprises i ever had
Segments from the bus fight were in the trailer I saw. And the line where he wants the damn kitty cat bracelet. Kitty cat bracelet made this a MUST WATCH.
The tattoo is a reference to being the worst possible hand someone can be dealt (specifically in Texas hold'em), in this case of course meaning that Hutch showing up is the worst thing that can happen to somebody.
You might also recognize the first drunk guy onto the bus as the head bodyguard in John Wick, the guy that tossed John over the balcony (The throat procedure is a tracheotomy btw)
There's more to it than that. An important remark is made immediately following the person noticing the tattoo - "Thank you for your service". The man is clearly fearful and leaves the room quickly, closes a huge metal door, and throws every bolt on the door. The comment implies that Hutch was a member of a notorious elite unit whose members warrant the utmost respect and caution. To cross them is to invite disaster.
The most intelligent people in the whole film are the old-timer at the tattoo studio, and the woman who bails as soon as she realises who he is... Christopher Lloyd looks like he had a blast ( literally...) filming this.
The way I understand it, Mr. Lloyd wanted to carry full weight shotguns and not rubber/plastic models as well. So, he was firing the blanks in the fight scenes with "Functional" weapons.
In this and other movie reactions, she is constantly thinking out loud and anticipating what the characters would say. She appears to be the type of woman who would help you bury the body----------I got that impression when she reacted to " Law Abiding Citizen" movie.
@@Joskemom "She appears to be the type of woman who would help you bury the body." Well, there is an interesting comment/compliment. I think you're right though (as long as it was for the right reason). :)
Bob Odenkirk plays Hutch. He credits this movie with saving his life in real life. He took this role with the knowledge that he would have to work with a coach to get in shape for the fight scenes. He did, and he got in great cardio shape. Later, he had a massive heart attack while filming his television series, Better Call Saul. He survived the attack, because he was in such good shape for Nobody. His doctor told him that had he not been in such good shape he would have died.
6:39 If you're asking if the cold temperature affects the gun and/or ammo: Yes, it can cause weapon malfunction & affect reliability (thickening of applied gun oil, condensation (causing rust), plus the effect of freezing temperatures on gunpowder's ability to ignite). Plus there's the safety aspect itself: Anyone can find that gun, increasing the likelihood of accidental discharges (not as likely due to the aforementioned freezing temps, but still absolutely possible) & subsequent possibility of injury/death...
True, but that particular gun was made out of polymer. So the only likely metal parts would be the barrel & firing pin, unless it has a polymer on metal frame, and I know some gun manufacturers have a metal coating that helps reduce the risk of rust and corrosion. And if you use weather stable gun oil, thickening shouldn’t be too much of an issue. As for the ammunition, the effects of freezing it only slow it’s ignition, not it’s ability to ignite. As someone who has done a lot of winter hunting in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota, I’ve never had gunpowder fail to ignite in freezing temperatures. Has the ammunition fired a little slower, possibly a little bit, but never so much that the round failed to fire, or caused the projectile to not kill what I was shooting at. But yes, at the core of what you were saying, is a good deal of truth, but there are also variables in that truth.
“NOT THE LASAGNA!!!” The common response from every member of the family that I’ve shown the movie to. Biss, the delight and glee in your reactions was chilling and adorable!
15:12 The procedure is called an emergency tracheotomy or cricothyrotomy. The dirtbag who needed it is the one who escalated the danger of the fight both times, first by introducing the knife, and then by loading the gun Hutch left. As is often the case in movies of this genre, the "main villain" ultimately pays the price for having a weak, stupid and cowardly relative.
6:20 i love that he doesn't want the gun here because he knows that he doesn't actually need it, but also tries to keep up appearances cause i think he's scared that gis family would be afraid of him.
This movie was filmed in different locations and one of them was my home city. Thank you for reacting to this movie Biss. The main actor was also in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. He is a great actor.

Heard the kitty cat bracelet line in the movie trailer, so I just had to watch this. Glad you liked it! Watched your reaction to The Equalizer. And now I'm subscribed to see your reaction to the sequel as soon as you want to post it. Happy holidays!
Great movie, got all the elements in it. Familylove, a kitten (catlover here) and action. And best of all, Christopher Lloyd (Back to the future) is in it. Aleksei Valeryevich Serebryakov who playes the villain is actually a Russian actor. Love seeing Bob Odenkirk playing a badass in this movie, Heard there be a sequel, Nobody 2, scheduled for release on August 15, 2025. Happy New Year Biss.
What I really like how he really regains his muscle memory with each fight. Each time he fights the rust wears off. He's gets faster after every fight.
From my Patreon comment: This genre never fails to delight Biss: it's all about wholesome families, comedy, and vigilante/assassin justice. And let's not forget, they even threw in a kitten. :) I agree, even though this is very similar to many other movies and the antagonist is not very complex, it does deviate from many of the trope-type clichés, which is refreshing. Also, Biss, you might want to check out "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movie from 2005, takes the spy family dynamic one step further, and I think you would get a kick out of it.
The tattoo he's wearing is a variation on a real U.S. Special Forces Tattoo. It means that they volunteer for the worst and most dangerous missions possible. They either succeed or die trying. Either way, you really don't want to mess with that person. He was not FBI, his father was. He was in the military.
The car he was driving is an older model. It is built out of solid steel, instead of aluminum and plastic. While it isn't bullet proof, it is vastly more resilient than modern vehicles.
I absolutely love Bob Odenkirk: he's the entire reason I first watched this movie. I had no idea what it was about or anything, I just knew that he starred in it, and after Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul (plus Mr. Show back in the day), that was all I needed to know. Was not disappointed.

Great choice for The reaction Miss Bisscute thanks for this one. Loved your reaction as usual❤❤❤. Did you recognize Doc from Back to the future films Biss? For future reactions: The Foreigner (2017).
Yes, another great man with a past kickass movie. I think the 1974 movie Death Wish kind of started this genre and also had several sequels. The main actor is a lot like Nobody, unassuming, quiet. Love the reaction per usual.
Another move with some great suspense and kicking ass that it seems everyone has been overlooking is "Red Heat"-1988. Staring a huge Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Belushi.
For those wondering: Being part of a "3 letter agency", overseeing military budget issues and going overseas to deal with them? I loved this film too, had pretty much the same reaction to you when watching it for the first time, so yes people do laugh in some parts. You asked if people laugh at something like this. Of course, you know they do. I did the first three times I saw it! However, no one laughs like you do! It was so much fun watching with you. God bless you and yours, and I pray for you a wonderful 2025!
