I dont have enough time to make one as detailed as yours but its fun looking at all the different ideas you can do for the inside, definitely very tedious and time consuming. yes they are paper printed ones as thickness of real photographs is quite more and they are glossy too,that is why i prefer printed pics. And about the dimension of photos in flower wheel card, it deviates according the size of card.I have taken first square shaped photo than gave the hexagon shape by cutting square photo.

I can totally understand what you may have gone through while asking for card stock paper in local stationary shops,actually most of them have it in their shops but the thing is they don't know, that particular paper is called card stock paper. Try asking them A3 size paper and their thickness is similar to chart papers,if you are going to buy online it is really going to cost you more.Try to search for stationary shops that have architecture students stuff; hope you find there.

Yes you are absolutely right.I adjust my photos to be printed in photoshop software and then print them.
