    Hey do you develop cracks in ur terracota sculptures ? ..like if yes how do you get rid of them and how to avoid th ?

    • @KashisAbstractArt1
      @KashisAbstractArt1  Год назад

      If your drying process is very slow then the possibility of crack is very very low, I always follow this slow drying technique by covering my sculptures with clothes while drying naturally.
      Although if you find any crack then it can be repaired by applying a mixture of clay and cotton.
      Thank u for watching.

    how long does it take to dry? And can I bake it in the oven? will there be cracks if I bake it?

    • @KashisAbstractArt1
      @KashisAbstractArt1  11 месяцев назад

      3-6 days at room temperature...
      Obviously , you can bake it in a particular type of oven or kiln.
      If you bake it after properly drying, then no chance of crack.
      Thank u.
      Keep watching.

    Some few question before I buy tons of it:
    1. Is this air dry clay??
    2.Does it crack a lot after dry??
    3. Can I paint it with acrylic after dry?
    4. Can I make a smaller action figure like anime, cartoons?
    5. Will it be damage for mold making?

    • @KashisAbstractArt1
      @KashisAbstractArt1  2 года назад +1

      This is Terracotta clay, slow drying process.
      No crack, if natural slow drying in room temperature.
      After drying acrylic color is best to use.
      Used to creat every types of clay art...small to large items.
      Plaster of parish mold can be created from any model of this clay, if you can recover the item carefully then chance of damage is very less.
      Thank u🙏

    • @KashisAbstractArt1

      These are the normal paper pins made of steel...you can use metalic GI Wire as per your required size, you can also cut it in small pieces and you can get it easily from your nearest hardware stores....

      @@KashisAbstractArt1 Hi, would it be safe to bisque and glaze fire using these pins? Would they survive?

    • @KashisAbstractArt1
      @KashisAbstractArt1  2 года назад

      No it is not safe above 1000 °C temperature. Paper pins may deformed.
      This is only for terracotta art, below 1000°C temperature. These pins are made of thin steel.
      You can can also use GI steel wire instead of paper pins.

    I’m interested to know what are the little pins you use to add the tail and mane pieces. Is a metal or a wooden pin? Does the clay not crack around these as it dries? And do you fire your pieces or are they varnished unforced, raw clay?

    • @KashisAbstractArt1
      @KashisAbstractArt1  2 года назад +2

      These are paper pins made of steel. GI steel wires may also be used. It will not make any crack. It is safe for firing (up to 1000 °C). Colour also not required if not visible from outside.
      After firing this clay art will take red colour, otherwise without firing it also may be used as a showpiece after drying by applying acrylic color on it.
