Thanks @Living Rad Glad I'm not the only one struggling to dial in espresso with this grinder. The retention is challenging and I lose so much coffee dialing in. Do you have a part number or contact I can reach out to at WLL to order the ring as well? Are you single dosing? if so, are you using a bellow?
Ive had mine for 5 years plus crazy reliable and i rarely clean it lol only reason i want the bigger brother is because of the 83mm burrs and the knob for adjustments to be easier since i only do espresso
I ordered the ring from WLL- Apparently it is on back order so I am still waiting for it. I have since started using the grinder as a single dose type so I can adjust the ground side more easily grind to grind. With this grinder if you try and go finer with beans in the chamber the motor recognizes the resistance and will not turn. So you can adjust the mount bit by bit with a quick pulse of the motor or adjust it as it runs beans or when there are no beans in the burrs (what i'm doing). makes grind size adjustment way easier and much less wasteful. Once I dial in the beans it's safe to dump the bag in the hopper. Other wise you are chasing the ground size through half the bag. I willl update you as soon as I get it in. I will email them now to check in on the status.
Thank you for the quick response and please do let me know the impact it makes once you receive it. I just ordered the E6P myself (after going back and forth between that, E37J and the Eureka Atom). If the impact is significant, I will also likely order that SD ring.
I quite literally just ordered it this past week. I should have it in a few days. It has to be better than my Breville Smart Grinder Pro that I have been using.
armando crimi 5 hours ago nice video, I just got the same grinder myths week, I was a wondering where did you order the ring insert to have less coffee grind get stuck in between the burrs, also do you thing by it it can be used as a single dose grinder with a bellow? - Armando thanks for your comment on the previous video. I am trying to order the part through Whole Latte Love Canada. The customer service rep is going to invoice me this week hopefully so I can let you know exactly if you can order it. Fingers crossed. If not I'lll have too make something myself or have someone machine it for me :/ Reply
I've got a new e6p. Bought a bellows for it from Cafe Fabrique in Canada. Online, shipped to NZ ok. My system is to put beans in and place a tamper on top. For say 12g, I run the double setting and get about 9.5g, then the single takes that to 10.4g. Remove tamper, place bellows on and just push/hit a number of times, without grinding, and that gets to 11.9/12g. A bit of fuss but works. Need to WDT, because you have to remove the metal flap inside the chute to aid the flow.
Thanks @Living Rad

You mention ordering the ring found in the E5SD. Where did you order this from? Did it fit the E6P? How has retention been since installing this part?

@@cousico ya id be happy to share my experience with you! How is your experience so far?

@@cousico that’s awesome! I bought it based on the build quality. It has its quirks but for the most part I’ve really enjoyed it
I have the same grinder, and I am looking for a dosing cup that snugs = fits in the CEADO forks. Can you suggest any?
