  • When fashion designers and dressmakers become more experienced, they realise that draping a design on a mannequin or working with commercial patterns just don't work anymore. We need to make clothing to fit a certain body shape and then be able to repeat that process over and over.
    We also don't have the time to do endless fittings once the garment has been made.
    This is where blocks/slopers come in.
    What if you could create a a set of flat patterns that fit a person perfectly, to then make sewing patterns and clothing from? This makes the entire process much faster and minimises the fitting process.
    This is a full course on drafting, fitting and adjusting a personal set of pattern blocks. This includes:
    * Bodice block
    * Sleeve block
    * Skirt block
    * Pant block
    I've also included a full bust adjustment video and many fitting techniques to help you get your blocks fitting you.

    Yes, you can do it.
    I was self taught too, and once you have your slower, you can learn to design as your slashing technique gets more advanced.

    Is this a course for more advance sewers? I'm self taught and may be an beginner/intermediate level. Is this achievable for someone like me? I do have a zigzag sewing machine and an overlock serger
