Fantastic studio Mooka! I got the Barefoot MM27s after we worked at Prairie Sun, and now getting the Footprints too! Hope you are doing great. Take care! Stay Safe.
This is so eye opening seeing behind the scenes of where some of my favorite guitar records from the 80's were recorded! May I ask about a record recorded there back in 1988 Cacocophony "Go off!"...... Their lead guitar tone on that particular record always sounded so good to my ears. it had a certain buzz to it that sounds incredible. What was the guitar rig used on that? I thought maybe it was some sort of wah in the middle position or something...
Great video! Can you give your opinion on the Footprints, in regards to the midbass? The woofer crossover is 200hz, so I'm wondering if too much midbass is coming out of the side firing woofers (instead of directly at the listener like in a normal forward facing driver) and if it affects the imaging? Thank you
I like that earplug idea, I'm going to have to try that! And I really want to grab some Barefoot monitors, the Footprint 01's and the Micro stack which can go down to 18Hz@the +/- 3Db range although Barefoot lets their specs out at +/- 1Db for sale reference and that tells me they use a higher standard of quality control. That and I think the speed of sealed cabinets is better than ported, it just hogs more power from the amps to get the levels which is not a problem with Barefoot and their Hypex very high quality amps. Funny, but this is all porn to me now. I'm puttin' mine on some iso pods though, what an amazing difference they make, sounds like you upgraded monitors even with my cheap Mackie's I bought because they sound good at low levels in my apartment. The control room they are for is still being designed, and very well so I don't have to spend a penny fixing any mistakes. And I won't have a penny to spend after the monitors either so lets hope that "if you build it they will come" has a ring of truth in it or you might find me sleeping on your couch for a while.

Love this guy! Thanks for the lowdown on your monitors.

@@DJURBANBG struggling with the same choice right now
Those TAD monitors remind me of the Altec Lansing Model 19 speakers.

what an amazing tip. the ns 10 setting in the morning!!!
The TAD monitors have HF compression driver with a Beryllium diaphragm that is more efficient than alluminium. That's why you get such highs .
Thank you
do any body knows how accurate to the real ns-10 is that footprint emulation?
to mix hip hop you think barefoot is a better option ?

barefoot最令我驚訝的是每次都可以用廉價的喇叭單體(vifa NE85、dayton RS100P、vifa NE149)做出昂貴的系統。
ATC for me....
