I think the knife’s perfect as is love mine. It’s the best/my favorite knife I own. I do own quite a few good blades. Best knife to play with. And M-390 steel is my personal Favorite. Good job Benchmade..😊
I'm with you its a great knife I bought mine for 350 as they were running a fathers day special I probably would never had picked it up at the asking retail price and like you said this knife has some great features that would excell in certain carries and for me I'm just an enthusiast and though I don't buy production knives often any more this one I couldn't pass up.
Really like mine, and there are multiple ways to get benchmades much closer to dealer pricing. I haven’t paid sticker price in years, (40-60% discounts) but ofc casual lookie-Lou’s don’t understand how the market works if they only see surface level pricing from BM directly.
I’m a knife enthusiast & collector, currently at 259 knives. I’m not opposed to spending big money on a knife. I’m currently waiting delivery on a Hawk Deadlock at $2,300. But, from an enthusiast & collector perspective, IMO it’s a bad purchase. BM was hell bent on making their thinnest knife to date. That’s it. That was their business plan. Also, it seems, with little real market analysis. Everyone, even the BM fan boys are saying it’s a bad value, and the ergos suck. Nearly everyone says it’s a $325-$350 knife. It’s not numbered. SS hardware. M390 (not magnacut). They have a butt load of ca$h into the R&D and need to sell a lot of knives just to recoop their cost. At this point, the only reason they would stop production is because they can’t sell them at $522. The fact that they sold for $350 on a special says it all.
Shoulda made it with ti clip better hardware t8 and integral with just a coil spring and yes magnacut with a thin blads u want all the toughness possible with good edge retention and corrosion resistance
522?? For a knife with a weak as puppy piss detent ??? Nah there is so many other knives in that price point thats so much better. Benchmade hitting that crack pipe..
Your review seems to echo everything I’ve seen and heard about the Narrows. It’s a great knife. But the value for the money isn’t there. I’m thinking BM is winning with this one. Even if they don’t sell a lot of them. It’s creating a lot of buzz for their brand.
I’m a knife lover - doesn’t matter the title one gives themselves -what kind of materials BM is providing does not constitute anywhere near the price - I was hoping for more direct honesty from you - there’s no positive spin on this one -
Are you saying I’m lying about my opinion?? Lol. I spent my hard earned $522 plus tax and shipping on this knife. I have no reason to lie. I have no affiliation with Bm.
@@everydaybladesinc is telling a half truth a lie? - that’s for you to decide - but if reviewers like yourself stood up to big retailers and said no not acceptable there would be pricing and quality out there- instead so many of you reviewers have turned into commercials for brands it’s hard to tell what’s really great and what one could have saved money - but m390 and titanium come on for 520- it’s embarrassing to watch you dance around . “ I’m a knife enthusiast “we all are that’s why where so insulted by the ridiculous price - stick up for our community to have better standard than having any of us swallow that Narrows . I've seen a lot of hate for this knife and Benchamde in general so this video was a refreshing and agreeable take.
I do agree that the price is high but everything is crazy expensive right now. This knife is very unique. The thinness of it is amazing.
I received mine yesterday and love it. I do not regret spending what I paid for it since I am an enthusiast as you are.
I might have a way to get one under $300. I don’t have a need for another knife but I’m thinking I might have to just get it.

After the initial sticker shock, this becomes more appealing by the day. I know im gonna buy it

I've been looking forward to your review, which is spot on. A fantastic knife at a prohibitively high price.

Every Day Blades
This looks like a great white shark 🦈
Well... it costs $714,- over here in europe.
Ouch !! Sorry brother
Y’all dont have to pay for health insurance or meds. The grass isn’t always greener.

There is just no justification for that price when you can get a Chris Reeves Sebenza 31 in Magnacut for $155 cheaper.
2 completely different knives.
@@everydaybladesinc yeah, the one that has more expensive materials is less expensive. Funny how that works. Lol
Not every one gets a woodie for a CRK, I can’t stand them.
Hey, Every Day Blades , the Narrows is intriguing, but not enough for me to overspend on it. Thanks for letting us take a look.
I understand that.

I can't justify that type of money for what just seems like too little of knife
It’s definitely expensive. No doubt about that.
Expensive 🤷🏼♂️
Medfords are way way over priced and inusably heavy!
your WRONG ! it's NOT a great knife....it's an AVERAGE knife, at a RIDICULOUS price...and that's all it will ever be.....OnWard.....
You’re wrong
$522.00
Garbage.
