- How to close a snap back watch case using the Horotec Micro press MSA 07.110. This watchmakers tool makes watch repair & watch battery replacement much easier. The Micropress is designed to press watch case backs closed after a service or battery change. The 6 snap on delrin dies will not scratch or mark watch case backs during fitting like other materials can.

Great video and very useful. I've had one for years but did not notice and therefore realise the the purpose of the taper on the dies the glass sits on. Also learnt the reason to choose the largest die possible to snap the back on, spreading the load evenly and not risking concaving the case back. I also know about the properties of "delrin" now. Thanks, Peter
useful comment on the subject of screw/lever tool choice - I'd not have guessed any of that, would have used a screw press for crystal insertion and maybe come to grief - so for me the commentary was more useful than the demo! Thanks for taking the time to add your take on tool choice.
Thank you I was trying to decide what type to get you just convinced me 👍great instructional video
Horotec is cool. Second only to Bergeon, probably. Very simple construction, very good quality. Seiko has very few tools, but very nice, too.
Can this tool be used as a Crystal press?
I have a similar press (knock of of the AF mini press) and find quite a bit of wobble in the shaft as I screw it down, causing a misalignment at the 2 dies. How would you rate this one for wobble? it looks better than mine.
Have you ever tried using this to install crystals?
Sir ye kaha milega
what if the watch is rectangular?
I won't it
