I just found you today. I just ordered a Tornado yesterday. Thank you for making this video! You are a great teacher! I like how you explain for both Mac and windows. I'm going to watch your videos. Good job man!!
I'm a newbie and was excited to find your video. My previous printer (da Vinci mini) was basically a plug n' play. Thank you for posting this. I've subscribed now and will be viewing your videos! Thanks.
Thanks that did the trick, I spent two days printing parts that were all spotty or I guess pillow ed as they say, setting it with your settings made it all solid,
Great! Just what I was looking for. tornado and Mac. I've been having print problems lately and I think it's ideaMaker snd my settings. So I need to try something else. Thanks. thumbs up and subscribed.
Just got the tornado. Thanks for the video help. What stops the bed. When going to the rear there is an end point switch. But coming forward it just wants to keep going.
Thanks, for making this video. I have a Tevo Tornado and my printer was printing off center. I ant to create my objects which 3d cad software do you recommend?
After 2 weeks had to remove the red bed. I have been running 60 - 80c. It had bubbles all over the bed. Now on glass and been printing all day. The only problem I see now is have to level bed after each print. Ideas plz.
If your having a hard time removing your prints then that would be Y because when you pull and push for the print to come off that can can the bed to not be leveled any more. Also tighten all your screws bolts and nuts also check to make sure the wheels under the bed are tight as well. I normally relieved every three to four prints to be safe.
this was a great video. I'm very new to this and I think I set it up like you said. I pushed save to file on my sd card. Put the sd card in the Tevo and selected the file but nothing happens. Any ideas?
Do you know of a video for calibrating the Tevo Tornado Extruder. I have found some videos showing how to measure the 100mm etc., but none so far have shown where how one "tells" the printer to ouput 100mm, then if a change is needed where and how is it done - from the Tevo's control box or does one connect a computer to the printer controller to access the firmware. If a computer has to be connected I have no idea what to do once they are plugged together. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated - Thanks.
Basically most of the videos out there are like that. 100 is what your printer is set too. Once you do the test you have to go back into your printer menu and adjust the number 100+ or 100-.
I did notice on the Tevo screen that the E-steps were set to 400 (factory) and I could increase or decrease that number after I figured what the 100mm calculated out to. However, I still have not figured out 1) where to tell the printer to print 100mm and 2) where to tell the printer to print the 100mm test. I connected my MacBookPro to the Tevo and Cura indicated a computer was present, but still ?? on where to put in the 100mm commands.
In cura set the Flow to 100 and then do the test. Then based on your results change the settings in your control box. Thats the way i do it and it works for me.
is there no way to connect the printer to the 3D printer? i have it plugged in but i cant seem to figure out how to just connect my printer to Cura? help em please! ill subbing to ya because this helped me
Hey Thomas, I use a mac and soon as i plug in it reads my computer. I don't know how it works for PC but i can try to find out for you. Just give me a little bit of time.
Hi there, I done everything you did, however when I try to activate my tornado, it will not connect cura to the printer. Do I need to do something else?
@@Lulu_racing Finally it worked, but I can't remember exactly what I did. Make sure to connect the usb cable, power up AC box and maybe download the latest software.
SAN TUBE I was saving the wrong file. Thanks for your help. I uploaded your profile and then printed something. I don’t know how to email you a photo here so I’m going to email it to your Facebook so you can see. The photo was taken in the orientation that it was printed

You have your axis wires crossed. Double check to make sure the x, y and z cables are connected to the right terminals.
Double checked all and you are right.
Could you copy and paste the gcode start and finish settings for the program please?
I sure can, I am not home at the moment but will do this evening.

I was able to print the spool holder preloaded on the card fine. so I know the printer works correctly.
I looked and all of the factory files on the card are .gco and the one I loaded is .gcode. did I save it incorrectly?
That happened to me as well, you have to reformat the SD card but i just got another one and its works fine. The problem is the SD card itself.
thanks. I ordered a new one. Great video!

@@macbarrera89 ok, thanks
when I save to file and put it on my sd card the tevo doesn't see the file.
Try using another SD card and see what happens. It should fix the problem
