He was talking about over 10 years ago when Nyjah was like 18. I met him 6 months ago at a random park in northern Cali. He was by himself just skating a flat bar and he was hella cool tbh. He was chillin and skating with us. We got an autograph and picture and when he was leaving be gave us each a pair of his shoes. Best experience ive had meeting a pro.
This isnt the only story ive heard of him being a dickhead. He simply chose to be nice to you that day, but a lot of the other times hes a douchebag. its all good tho, money and fame, what do you expect?

I would see Nyjah at EPIC skatepark in Rocklin back in the day. I showed up to play and he showed up to practice. I would skate every obstacle all over the park. He would show up to practice one particular trick on one particular obstacle. He would do nothing besides the one trick he was working on that day. 'kickflip noseblunt' 'kickflip noseblunt' 'kickflip noseblunt' over and over until he was landing it perfect every time. Then the next day it was something else. Then he would take all the tricks he had worked on and put them into one crazy ass line.
Jarrell is such a good dude. Lamont is a good homie for keeping it a bean about his hair / swag at that time, which is low hanging fruit, that’s easy to punch down at. As a black man, I felt that, I was a punk/hardcore/metal nigga with similar swag, and dealt with the same shit.

As someone who watched Nyjah when he had dreads at Tampa and at least 15 years later see him show up, no dreads, arrives late, kickflip over the box to back tail down the down rail bigspin out first try. We all know the crazy Nyjah party stories, but I like watching Nyjah SKATE, Jordan was a shitty teammate. This guy is like Muhammad Ali or Tiger Woods, you can't expect him to be normal, he's insane already.

Its not that bad. I had a emo fringe when I was younger, always flicked it to the side haha. its funny and cringe how I looked and acted back then. It did get me into a few fights. Not everyone is going to see things your way but that should be ok. Your hair's funny looking, some people might say you got pig tails. Its not a bad thing, just different. The last and only time I had my hair done up with corn rows my friends were calling me Shinequa or something like that.
So y’all may not know this I’m a put you on game because I grew up in LA and I’ve been around a lot of pro skaters but when you start doing tricks just to solely impress them, they hate that shit they call it like beaming or something it’s like every time you do a trick you look up at them just see like did you see me do it, it’s frowned upon in the Pro Skater community and also you’re not supposed to be skating for approval so once he said I was like trying to get him to seethat I was doing these heel flips I already knew what the story was going to go don’t do that bro just be yourself and skate for yourself. If your shit is good people will recognize it but don’t seek attention through skateboarding. That’s one of the biggest problems in the skate community way to many pick me traits at parks exactly why I don’t like going to skate park.

We have all known Nyjah has been accused of being a sick by multiple people over the years, I think hegotrecognizedat a young age, and when he was able to run free from his Dads supervision he went crazy on self absorbed mode, not saying it’s okay because bullying is never okay,but we all know what it’s like being young, we sometimes get off on others expense to look “cool” we all know as adults it’s not okay, but as a teenager this is what happened a lot,especially in the skate community, as much as we act like it’s a family, back then it was very cliquey, and if you didn’t meet the requirements of what they think you’re supposed to dress like, prepare to get roasted,I have done it to others unfortunately, but I can’t saythat makes him an asshole forever, people do change, can’t say if he has don’t know him personally but he has seemed to calm down at least

When I was a jitt, Gershon Mosley broke my heart at Tampa Pro 01’ or 02’. We had to be all of 11 or 12 years old. My homie and I asked for a pic / autograph, (post A-Team days) outside the main park gate near half-pipe outside. mane not only said “No” which is his prerogative, and respectfully even, but mane went the distance to rudely dismiss some black groms in front of his peers / our idols embarrassingly. Til this day i want a convo with mane about that.
